If you're looking for a clean, modern environment this is a great place! The pita wraps are so good as are the pita and garlic served as an appetizer. If I could give half stars I would move this up to a 3.5. But I can't get over the chewy lamb that I couldn't eat. I would definitely pass that over and head straight for any of the chicken or vegetarian options! Also... if you're in desperate need of a Diet Coke beware: they serve Pepsi products here! Was here on a business trip and needed my Michigan fix of great middle eastern food. Yelp came to the rescue and we went to 2Booli because it was close to our hotel. The pita bread is excellent. Hot, fresh, fluffy - just heavenly. My friend still dreams about the bread here. Others here critiqued the hummus, but for me it was perfect - smooth, nutty, a little hint of lemon, tasted freshly made. I had a chicken dish and my friend had the vegetarian plate. Service was really great. We came right at the tail end of their lunch special time (I think that it was around 4pm) and they still honored the lunch special prices. So I looked to Yelp for suggestions and found this place, which was not too far from my hotel. 2Booli is located in a large shopping center. The ambiance is quiet nice. Open and airy, but kind of dimly lit. It took a while for me to get seated, even though the place wasn't very crowded. Once seated, I was served warm pita bread with garlic spread. The pita was warm, fresh, fluffy and great. That was a good sign. I started off with a bowl of the crushed lentil soup. It was creamy and very tasty. I loved it. I also ordered the chicken shawarma. It was on the dry side. The garlic yogurt sauce served on the side helped somewhat. Service wasn't the best here. I noticed other tables the servers were way more attentive to than the service I was getting. Not sure if it was because I was dining solo, or if it was because I was of Asian descent. I have been to this place twice and both times I have ordered online. When you order online it gives you a time when your order will be ready and you go to the bar to pick it up. Both times I got the same clueless girl who had no idea about my order and was very rude. After 15 minutes after my pickup time I finally asked about my order and she stupidly said "oh no one told me about an online order" and slowly walked to the back and slowly brought my dinner to me and then just walked away. I'm giving them 2 stars instead of one because the food is oku but definitely not great. I will never be going here again. read more

This is another good spot for lunch if you work in Farmington Hills. Unfortunately, sometimes the service is lacking, fairly slow. The food is definitely worth checking out if you aren't pressed for time. I have eaten widely from their menu, the food is good and the portions are right. They have a variety of wrap options for lunch that can be paired with rice, fries, or vegetables. Never order the vegetables as a side, as the portion is just too small! They have a fairly standard middle eastern menu with a few dishes that push more toward Italy. I recently ordered a couple combos for two to take home for a dinner party. Everything was well cooked and packed. I was pleased with how well it held up being kept warm in my oven for a couple of hours before serving. The beef kabob was so tender and the seasoning was perfect. The kafta was good and new for me from this restaurant. The chicken kabob and grape leaves were also good. The rice was plentiful, and the vegetables were excellent, though I would have liked more of them. I ordered salad for our starter, and it was plentiful and was not over dressed, so it held up well. Since I picked up at an odd time, the restaurant was fairly empty, and I waited at the bar. While I knew they had a bar, I didn't know they had 1/2 off wine bottles and $5 appetizers on Thursdays. Tried this place today for the first time today for lunch and all I have to say is YUM! I have been looking for a new Mediterranean spot after my favorite place closed during the pandemic and looks like I have found my new spot! The garlic sauce is garlicky like I like it and everything was perfectly seasoned even the rice. For some reason these other places just boil the rice with no seasoning. Who wants bland rice??? The veggies were cooked perfectly with a little crunch. I am told the garlic lemon chicken is the best. I don't think that is an option on the lunch menu but I will try that the next time. Came home to a side of fries that looked like someone's leftovers. And fattoush salad that looked like regular salad with fattoush dressing on the side. Finally decided to give this place a try after passing by it so many times and was pretty bummed that I waited so long! When I first walked in I was greeted and seated right away. Instantly my server came over and took our drink order and returned promptly with it. He went over some of the menu items and gave us suggestions based off what he liked best. We started off with the hummus and the fresh baked pita bread. The hummus was so smooth and tasty, that you couldn't help but to keep going back for more. I ended up ordering the beef shawarma pita for my entree. The beef was tender and flavorful. During our meal the manager, Alvin came over and made sure everything was good and to our liking. I know that it's a casual dining restaurant but I received top notch service with good food and will definitely be back! read more

Good food and good ambience. Just one warning don't go alone to dine in. The service and the waiters, when I went alone once for lunch was king of weird as no one paid attention to me. The food was delicious. It arrived hot which I was especially happy about. I ordered the baba ghanoush, majadra, and a Greek salad. The majadra came prepared with caramelized onions. I've never seen that done before, and I thought they were a great addition. The presentation of the food was also a plus. There were beets, tomatoes, lemons, and other extras. Very nice touch! My bourbon manhattan was ok! I have had better felafel before in other places! My wife's wine had particles floating around, probably because the bottle was close to being empty. I had an okay experience. Came in late one evening and immediately ordered the Maza for 2 appetizer. So good! Margaritas were on special, so we ordered those. Large drink, but very sweet. 2Booli is a new Mediterranean restaurant located where La Shish operated before it closed down a couple years ago. When I first walked in I was pleasantly surprised with the contemporary decor, large bar, and open seating. In other words, it was completely different than the old La Shish. It was around 7:30PM when I went to 2Booli for dinner and the restaurant was about half full. After taking a seat and being told the specials, I was brought some hot bread straight out of the brick oven which is right behind the bar along the back wall. Unlike the more traditional Mediterranean restaurants, 2Booli has a varied menu offering many different types of soups, salads, and entrees. So even if you're not a big Mediterranean fan there is something on the menu you should be able to find appetizing. Sticking to my guns I order a fattoush salad and chicken kabob served with rice. The side fattoush was sized generously and filled with dried pita, tomatoes, parsley, and green peppers. The dressing wasn't overpowering which is usually the curse of a fattoush salad so I was more than satisfied. My entree was also generously portioned and the chicken was especially delicious thanks to the marinade. The rice topped with chopped almonds was bland and the garlic sauce was way too strong, but the chicken made up for these negatives. The service was excellent, the food was priced on par with most of the other Mediterranean restaurants in the area so expect to pay about $11-16 for an entree and another $4-8 for an appetizer. I'm definitely a fan of 2Booli and looking forward to trying their lentil soup, hummus, and pitas/sandwiches. read more

The first thing I thought when entering 2Booli, was "Oh great, a commercialized, Americanized Mediterranean restaurant." I thought for sure it would be overpriced, mediocre quality, etc. Boy was I wrong... The prices are in fact quite reasonable, and the food is excellent! Service is great too, which is usually lacking from the smaller family owned Mediterranean restaurants in the area. Although there are Americanized items on the menu (Who orders french fries with chicken shawarma?!), most of it is traditional fare. The hummus is creamy and delicious, and the pita bread is always hot and fresh out of the stone oven. I highly recommend the appetizer trio, which combines hummus, baba ghannouj, and "2Booli" as they spell it. Excellent! I keep coming back to 2Booli for its combination of quality, consistency, and service. Don't let the commercialized facade turn you off, this place is great! Stopped in on my lunch break for a quick bite. After seeing what all the other yelpers had to say about this place, I had to give it a try for myself! Atmosphere: Open floor-plan with very modern decor and a variety of table and booth sizes. My visit was on the 12/22 and with it being so close to Xmas and right down the road from 12-Oaks mall I thought for sure I'd be in for a wait, but to my surprise I was seated immediately. Food: The menu has a wide variety of options, I opted for the Tawook Chicken Pita with a side of fries (normally go for the rice at a place like this, but the fries were recommended and they were actually really good!), you can also choose rice or a spicy coleslaw. Sandwich had large pieces of tender kabob-style chicken, pickle, and garlic sauce. Great balance of the ingredients, all in all an excellent sandwich! Service/Value: Quick and attentive, was in and out in less then 20 minutes. My bill came to $8 including tip! Hard to find a better value, especially in this area. Overall, a great spot! Can't wait to go back and try some other options. Also noticed that they serve wine/beer as well, and were even advertising some happy-hour specials! Hope your experience is as good as mine. 2Booli has taken over the former La Shish in Farmington Hills. Billing their restaurant as Fresh Mediterranean, they are able to add some familiar Italian and Greek favorites to the mix. On a recent lunch, we had great food and outstanding service. Our meal began with fresh warm pita, baked on site, and served w/ a pitcher of olive oil for dipping. Our first request was for some lentil soup, which they prepare two ways. Whole lentil is a hearty soup with chunks of potatoes and Swiss chard. The crushed lentil is a super thick puree of lentils and spice, with an emphasis on cumin, which gave it a nice warm finish. On this visit, we chose three sandwiches. The hommous and 2booli pita was tasty and nicely portioned. Tabouli really has to be good here, and it is. The side cole slaw was a bit too spicy. The chicken tawook pita featured marinated charbroiled chicken, wrapped with garlic paste and Lebanese pickles. The chicken was tender and juicy. The garlic paste nicely spiced, without being overpowering. The beef kabob pita was delicious. Tender chunks of chargrilled beef are slid into a pita with hommous, sautéed sumac onions, tomatoes and parsley. Ordered medium-rare, the beef was done perfectly and generously portioned. read more

2booli offers some very enjoyable food in a friendly, inviting atmosphere. There is something for everybody on the menu from beef, to lamb, to chicken, to grape leaves. All the traditional Mediterranean favorites are available! I have had several variations of wraps and kabobs there and have enjoyed all of them.
