Blond bartender was an absolute cranky server. Ignored me and others. When I asked her to check the years of scotch they had in hopes of finding a good scotch. She checked two of them and then forgot what she was doing??? Attended to another patron at the bar without acknowledging me. MGMT needs to step up and fire this Gal if they want to see large patron attendance from large hotels in area! read more

Came by here after work one night for a suitable drink and a nice atmosphere environment which it does have! However I first ask if they had Irish Mule which unfortunately they didn't , then a another bartender name Robert ask " If your looking for a whiskey drink I know just the drink to mix" which was a Old Fashion that came out perfect! Cool hole in the wall type place. Was close to the pad - so I came here a few time sot watch some football. Its an interesting mix. Monica's aunt and uncle practically live here. A good place to catch the football games on Sunday. The best part of this place is the lack of crowds, cheap drinks and of course the location from our first place in Fullerton. This isn't a place to visit- you find your way here if you know what I mean. read more

I love dive bars. This place was not for me. Felt very uneasy by the whole situation. First of all I would say if you get frisked at the door that's not a good sign. Walking in got the "why are you here" vibe from most patrons. It really felt like a holding cell that served alcohol. There was a patio with metal bars surrounding the exterior and a surly bouncer that strolled out every few minutes to make sure no one was getting shanked. Not my idea of a bar I would like to frequent. Visit if you must but make sure to have your shiv within reach. read more

Its a perfect dive bar with strong drinks. My favorite bartender is Say, she's down to earth and has a heavy hand when making my drinks.

If you happen to be stuck out in Fullerton for whatever reason, a drink at the J's will make it better. It's somehow dark and divey yet big and roomy, with pool tables, maybe some Beck or Stones on the juke, and an outside patio area. The bar is definitely smoker friendly -- to the point where no one complains about cigars, let alone cigs -- so factor that in. Once nice thing about Fullerton as opposed to L.A.: even on the most crowded weekend nights there's ALWAYS parking. read more

Came to the bar as a designated driver , the bartender (women) with a anchor tattoo on her right arm , told me she wouldn't be able to serve me water any more when I asked if she could refill my cup , I guess because I'm not drinking alcohol and decided to drive my friends home safe I don't deserve to be served , this is my first and last time coming to this bar , I will be sure to speed the word. Don't get upset with the door staff because you or one of your friends doesn't have valid ID. Don't think because we've seen you before that we'd remember the next time and get all offended when we ask to see your IDs. IT"S OUR JOB to do so! And if it's fake or you're using someone else's ID... it's considered fraud. We have a legal obligation to confiscate the ID and turn it in to the local police. No you can't give us X amount of money to get in or have it back. PS Please have your IDs ready for the bouncer to check. Don't be the dummy that's watching everyone in front of you have their IDs checked only to wait till you're next to reach into your pockets or wallets or dig through your massive purses to get yours. Dive bar, Used to come here A Lot. My buddies and I always reserve the VIP room every year in Feb to gather and drink for our friend who passed. Drinks in the past used to be AMAZing! Ashton(spelling?) is a great bartender and has always taken good care of us. He Makes The Best Long Island Ice Tea Hands Down. I was a little saddened that the bar changed their long islands to smaller cups though but its all good as long as Ashton is there making long islands. Often imitated, never duplicated. read more

The clientele is pretty much ghetto douchebags with too much AXE and shitty taste in music, "ratchet" girls, and a few cougars who just need to stop. Atmosphere is pretty nice. Did not receive a greeting from the bartender but she did get me my drink promptly and respectfully. I don't like the stools at the bar. Your seating should encourage people to sit comfortably, relax and stay there for a while. As soon as I finished my first... and only drink I couldn't stay. I was tempted to go into one of the booths on my own since it was empty but wanted to be seated in front. Men's restroom does not have a mirror which was disappointing. I need to make sure I look halfway decent for the ladies. Two weird big urinals side by side threw me off too. I like to piss and shake my shit around without someone eyeing me. Now if you want to go to a bar that has cheap drinks, pool tables, and a DJ on the weekends, then this is the place to go. Me and the close friend went here on New Years Eve, and it was great. The female bartender was nice and friendly. With Heineken's at 4 bucks I was like "hell yeah count me in!!" My night at 2J's Lounge in a nutshell. Meet Jim. Jim is a veteran. Jim is also a regular at 2J's lounge. In Jim's spare time he enjoys alcohol, belligerence, and the heavy usage of racial slurs (i.e. "NIGGER"). Upon visiting 2J's lounge last night Jim a regular here walks in and decides the booth we are sitting at belongs to him and proceeds to move our things. When asking Jim calmly might I add "can you please not touch our stuff, we are sitting here" apparently this upsets Jim and Jim proceeds to get inches away from our faces using the term "NIGGER" several times as the bartender walks over smiling saying "he's a regular sorry" as if the behavior was okay because he was a regular which made me then begin to question whether they "regularly" accepted racism in their lounge? Instead of being confrontational we decide to grab our belongings and move to a different part of the lounge and enjoyed the rest of our night away from Jim. However, as this still left me baffled and unsettled this morning I called 2J's to speak with a manager to ensure this did not happen to anyone else. It was during a series of conversations I learned "Jim is a regular(approximately said 3 times or so), Jim has been coming to this bar 20+ years, Jim got hit by a bus 15 years ago, the booth we were already sitting at is actually Jim's favorite booth) How do I know all of this about Jim you ask? Why do I even know his name? These were all of the facts given to me redundantly about Jim by the manager prior to any resolution regarding the racism that was experienced in their lounge. I couldn't for the life of me understand how any of the above stated facts regarding Jim pertained to the situation that occurred other than to victimize Jim the actual guilty party and then I came across this photo...suddenly it all made sense. Jim was victimized because 2J's lounge supports Jim (i.e. the photo below). However, I was given an apology and informed "Jim will be talked to". Jim is still allowed at 2J's lounge. Jim will still be a regular. Jim will go on with his life unbothered. Meanwhile if you are a person of color visiting 2J's lounge you may have to experience Jim the same way I did. The same racism I did or maybe Jim will get worse the next time. We won't know until the next time happens, because Jim will still be allowed at 2J's lounge. read more

I love a solid dive bar and this doesn't disappoint. I live just a short walk away which I enjoy even more. They have plenty of pool tables and tvs to watch the game. Bartenders are at tentative and compared to downtown drinks are fairly priced. Reminds me of my favorite hometown dives. read more
