I went in knowing the frozen beer was mostly a novelty, so my expectations were pretty measured. The real surprise was the food. We ended up trying a good portion of the menu (not everything made it into the photos), and two dishes absolutely stole the show: the fried shrimp heads and the chicken skin mandu. Both were outstanding. The shrimp heads were crispy, savory, and incredibly addictive, while the chicken skin mandu was one of the most creative and memorable bites I've had in a long time. I've never seen either dish executed like this anywhere else. Major kudos to the chef for bringing something genuinely unique to the table. I'm usually allergic to waiting in line, but this is one of the few places I'd happily make an exception for. The wait is manageable, especially since there are plenty of nearby bars where you can grab a drink and kill some time before your table is ready. Come for the frozen beer if you're curious. Come back for the food.

The hype about this spot is real. The place started getting packed around 7pm on a Thursday night. They use social media very wisely! I'll break it down. The frozen beer mug concept is novel, but the beer itself isn't that cold, so very moot point. Invest in a glycol system for ice cold beer. Ordering on a tablet and turnaround for food or drink delivery is SUPER FAST! No complaints on speed. The food itself was not good. Very meh. And we did try a variety of food. The men's restroom is a disaster. That toilet will be out of commission within 3 months for sure. The waitstaff hovering kind of uselessly by the expediting area were always snacking or nibbling on something. Must be a Gen Y or Z thing? Personally, I could do without watching the waitstaff chomping on food. Overall, not a great experience.

We waited about 40 minutes on a Friday night. The 10oz beer was cute and the frozen beer was refreshing - just be prepared to drink it quickly before it melts or it tastes gross. We ordered the fries and the kimchi nabe udon. The fries were seasoned perfectly and the udon and fishcakes were yummy. We had several servers come to our table with different dishes asking if we ordered them. It happened around six times throughout the meal which was a bit distracting. Overall, I'd recommend if you're already in the area but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way for it.

Waited a little over 30 min for a table here after we gave up on the ice beers at INS. I'm personally not a huge beer person, but I admit the ice coldness is nice. Would I do this again though? Probably not as a mostly non-drinker. The inside was alright it looks like a pocha although the floors and tables are a bit grimy.

Came here on a Thursday night around 10 pm and waited ~10 minutes for a table. It was pretty packed at this time but we didn't have to wait too long to be seated. We ordered the Kimchi Nabe Udon and Butter Grilled Squid. The Kimchi Nabe Udon was seriously so good. It pairs so well with the ice cold beer. The broth had a nice umami flavor and I liked the variety of fish cakes that were in the soup. The Butter Grilled Squid was okay. It wasn't anything special but also we were looking for calamari but saw they didn't have it so we opted for this instead. The chewiness of the squid was good. I think we just wanted something fried to go with our beers haha. We also got the passionfruit sorbet which was a nice refreshing cold dessert! Overall, good food experience for a soft opening! I really like that you can just order on a screen and add things to your order as you eat.

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Fullerton next to my favorite pho restaurant. Open late until midnight! Wow perfect spot for a second round after dinner. Variety of small bites menu and reasonable prices. But the best part is the icy cold beer in the special frosty mug! Definitely calls for a return visit

Ice-cold draft beer paired with delicious bar bites -- what more could you ask for? The location is fantastic, and I had such a wonderful time here with my friends. The rabokki (rice cakes and ramen in spicy sauce) and skewer appetizers brought back all the nostalgic flavors of Korea -- absolutely spot on. But the real highlight? The draft beer served in a frosted mug with a thin layer of ice on top. That first sip was pure perfection. If you're craving authentic Korean pub food and a fun, lively atmosphere, this is the place to be.

I waited about an hour to be seated on a Friday night. plenty of public parking behind the restaurant and also close by! vibes were good, and food was yummy! I like how you just order everything on the tablet. The ice beer was refreshing, cheese ramen tteokbokki was good & I love how it has quail eggs. Corn cheese was my favorite sooo cheesy and sweet!

We waited over an hour to get in, and the first thing I noticed was that the table was dirty with sticky residue all over it. I understand it's a casual pub, but it still wasn't a great first impression. We ordered their signature ice-cold beer, but the server was expressionless and came across as quite unfriendly. Customer service could definitely be improved. I've been to Yeokjeon Halmaek many times in Korea, so I know what the brand is supposed to be like. Unfortunately, the Fullerton location charges about three to four times the prices in Korea, while the food quality and portion sizes felt like less than half of what you would get there. We ordered the fried chicken, and the fries looked like they had been sitting out for a long time. Honestly, they tasted worse than fast-food fries. We also ordered the cheese rabokki, and the quail eggs were served cold, which was surprising. The ramen itself was nothing special. We ordered several other dishes afterward, but they were all disappointing. The portions were tiny, the flavors were underwhelming, and by the end of the meal I honestly didn't know what else to say. Nothing we tried felt worth the price. I've also been to INS Beer, and after visiting both places, I don't think they're even in the same league when it comes to food quality and value. Just my personal opinion. The ice-cold beer was refreshing and tasted great, but paying around $9 for a single glass feels unreasonable. In the end, spending over an hour waiting for a table and ending up with a $130-150 bill for food that was this mediocre was pretty frustrating. If you're craving the Yeokjeon Halmaek experience from Korea, I would recommend keeping your expectations low.

Friendly servers and great food! The vibes here are the best. With friendly staff you can't really go wrong especially when you're drinking. They were super fun to talk to and just be a vibe around :)

Visited here on a very busy Saturday evening during the soft opening. It took about 20 minutes for us to get seated, which wasn't bad at all considering there were quite a few parties ahead of us. Ordering was super easy on a tablet at your table, and staff were constantly walking around, so it was very easy to get their attention if we needed anything. All the staff we met were incredibly nice, but one of the staff in particular, Lea, was great! She was so helpful and quick whenever we asked for something the whole time we were there. The food was good. I especially liked the pineapple sherbet. FYI it can get very loud inside when it's completely packed. This is definitely my new go to spot in OC and I can't wait to go back!!

They have a good selection of American food, and I ordered chicken risotto ($24) from the "favorites" section of the menu. Portion sizes here are good, and we were very full after dinner. Service here was basic, and we got everything we needed. Friday night is also a peak time at Downtown Fullerton, so it was hard to find parking spot. However, the ambience here was relaxed. While the chicken risotto was pricy, I enjoyed the mixed flavors and large portion size. The flavor came from the caper-parmesan beurre blanc sauce. It's a slightly creamy butter sauce with mild sweetness and added flavor from white wine. The capers added a very welcome tangy and savory seasoning to the sauce; they're one of my favorite garnishes. The flavors from the breaded chicken and risotto weren't too strong. However, I would've liked the dish more with if they put less parmesan because I enjoyed the flavor from the beurre blanc sauce the most.
