Kind of a dive bar that myself and several clients, a few from Japan, came across while in Pasadena, California for business and a trade show. It is definitely more if a dive bar, but I mean that in a complimentary way. It was a good place for us to kick back and be ourselves and have some fun. All in all, a good time and a welcome break from another business trip.

"So won't ya bob your head.. "ruff, ruff an' rugged we comin. Be-be-ba bob your head ruff, ruff an' rugged we comin." -Run DMC "Bob Your Head" An exceptionally fun and cost effective spot for all night boozing and boogies. There usually is not any cover or much of one to get in. The locals effect a light hearted and low key attitude. Not too many cliques or pretentious people to be found at 2J's. People usually carry on, play pool, drink, dance or play the occasional round of darts. 2J's boasts relatively impressive to exceedingly good DJ talent on any given night. When I happened by, the man on the wheels of steel was the very cool and fresh Bobby May. Bobby is among my favorite Bobs because he manages to get every head bobbing on the dancefloor. A meeting with this Bob is a promotion of all that is funky indeed. Bobby possesses a solid music background, and he has had extensive access to vinyl over the years due to the hours he has put in at Burger Records. Bobby might drop Dazz Band, Marvin Gaye, Britney Spears, The Supremes, or Rick James at any given moment. Bobby's sense of fun extends to how he DJs his sets too. He does his darnedest to dance and sing along with the crowd. Anyone who drops in on 2J's would be lucky to witness a set from Bobby May of the leonine hairdo, of the record world, of the sensational tunes. Other than Bobby, the decor stands out too. 2J's interior is a goofy mixup of sports bar and divebar. There are the usual gaudy beer logos. These are offset by wacky objects like a giant moosehead mounted on the wall and/or the random funny enough sign. I recommend setting foot inside 2J's to anybody wanting some good clean amusement.

I wanna go back already! Every time I'm here, I get bent and it's always worth it!! Lmao the atmosphere and vibe inside is hella smooth and I'm convinced that it's Fullerton's best kept secret. Last time I was here I was two steppin, with two whiskey cokes in my hand and with two girls high as a kite, on god - I had the time of my life. Leave it to me - I'm on my way back. I'm already preppin for the two day hangover. yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessiirr

Chill spot and friendly staff. Bobby May as Dj is the best. Zero complaints. Great spot to play pool.

Best Bartender ever!! Great customer service. Keeps our drinks full! Stop by. You will love it!

The tuna and toppings were okay but the crispy rice tasted like fried fair food almost with the texture of a rice cake. Hopefully, their other dishes are better. For drinks, the waiter helped select the Banana Batida for me which was very lovely! I love how customized the recommendations were. My partner ordered a rum drink which he enjoyed as well. We finished off with a brownie dessert. I really enjoyed the passion fruit puree and kiwi topping. The brownie tasted good but was very dense which isn't my preference. Overall, would recommend. Decor: Perfect for spooky lovers Ambiance: Could use some music to match the theme Service: good & attentive waitress I actually ended up here by accident. I was trying to go to Villains Brewery. I didn't realize I was at the wrong place until I looked at the menu. The two spots are right next to each other, have similar aesthetics, and are easy to mix up. Since I was already there (and starving), I decided to stay. The spooky decor is totally my vibe, so I was happy to give it a shot. The food was decent not bad by any means, but it didn't have that wow factor. I've definitely had better steaks and mac & cheese, but everything was cooked fine and tasted good. The drinks were solid, and I liked the cocktail selection. What really impressed me was the happy hour. BOGO drinks plus two free sides with the steak is a pretty great deal these days. The steak was a little pricey for the quality, but honestly, what isn't expensive anymore.... Service was good. My waitress was attentive, though to be fair I was the only customer there at the time. My only real complaint is that the place felt a little quiet. With the spooky theme, some music would really help set the mood and elevate the atmosphere. Overall, this ended up being a pleasant surprise. I'd recommend it for food and drinks, and I personally enjoyed it much more than Villains Brewery (you can read my review on that one... no bueno). Not sure if the two businesses are connected, but I had a good experience at one and a bad experience at the other. ‍

The food is Lebanese and like any Mediterranean food, delicious! We had the chicken kabob entree and everything was really good! The only thing I was not a super fan of was their pita bread and how it came. It comes in a plastic bag inside a little bucket and it's a thin pita and I usually prefer the thicker pita, but that's just my personal preference. The drinks were really good too! It is located in downtown Fullerton, next to the Les Amis Lebanese/Mediterranean restaurant. Look for the entrance on the west side of the building with a red entrance and Chapter 4 projection logo on the sidewalk. You can make a reservation on their website. We walked in and were greeted immediately. Seating options include tall chairs at the bar, low booths along the front wall across from the bar, and various tables in the main lounge area. All of the chairs look very comfortable. We sat in one of the booths across from the bar. It has a great vibe inside with a dark ceiling and walls, and is lit on the dimmer side. There was light lounge/soft jazz music playing when we visited. They also have live jazz music on some nights. A bowl of nuts, water, and menus arrived quickly. They have a great menu of house-curated cocktails, their spins on classic cocktails, and a large list of whiskeys and other spirits. They also have several food items on the menu. They have private liquor lockers available to store personal bottles for members Before I continue, I have to say that JC, one of the owners, who greeted us and was our server all evening, provided outstanding hospitality. While researching their bar menu online, we saw the cloud cocktail which had a very unique presentation with a burning ember cloud-like display. We came for my girlfriend's birthday, and she knew that would be her first drink. Unfortunately when we tried to order it, they were out of the gas for it. We noticed that the physical menu was a little different than the online menu. Apparently they had just changed the menu and had not updated the website yet. She wanted the Dirty Dill which wasn't on the new cocktail menu, but they were still able to make it. Dirty Dill (Gin, Vodka, Lemon, Pickle Juice, Olive Juice, Milk Washed & Clarified, $19). We could smell pickle on the nose, but when we took a sip, it was very boozy with little pickle or olive flavor. We asked if they could add some more pickle juice, and JC brought us a big shot glass of pickle juice so she could adjust it to her liking. She liked it once she added some more pickle juice. I started out with the Cococacaocoladaclara cocktail (Cacao-Infused Rum, Orange Liquor, Pineapple & Lime Juice, Coconut Milk Clarified, $18). This wasn't quite what I was expecting, and I had a hard time picking out the flavors. It was definitely strong and boozy. We were finishing our first round when we spotted JC walking towards our table with a cloud! He managed to find whatever it takes to make the effect, and we were very appreciative. I have seen a lot of presentations, and this was definitely a unique one. The birthday shot was very good, and he said the ingredients were mezcal, lavender, and lemon. Old Fashioneds have been growing on me lately. After the great presentation of the cloud, I had to try the Sinatra Old Fashioned (Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select, one dash of chocolate Bitters, $40). It is served in a rotating crystal glass, lit from underneath, with a clear ice sphere. Again, the presentation was great, and it was the smoothest old fashioned I've ever had. She had her eye on the Tuk Tuk for her second drink (Coconut Fat Washed Rum, Supasawa, Pandan Syrup, Mango Syrup, Rice Garnish, $18). She asked if it was very sweet, and he said that it was indeed quite sweet. Instead, she opted for the Firefox (Vodka, Pomegranate, Lemon, Vanila, Rose Liquor, Cherry Bitters, $18). Once again, this cocktail had a great presentation. It's served in a short, wide glass that sits perfectly on top of a piece of petrified-looking wood. You hold the glass with both hands and sip it like a bowl of soup. It was very balanced and smooth, with a nice tartness and light sweetness. JC stopped by again to check on our second round. A few minutes later he surprised us again, and returned with shot sized versions of the Tuk Tuk to sample. It was definitely on the sweeter side with good coconut and pandan flavor. We probably would have tried a third round, but we had dinner and a drink before coming here. Their menu of house-curated cocktails is impressive, and features many uncommon ingredients. We had a good time, but JC went the extra mile for us all night long and made it a great time. We will definitely return again.

(The Anaheim packing district has private parking and it's easy to find a spot during the week. On the weekend, it's another story) You basically run right into the hammer bar when you enter from the main entrance. It's nothing fancy, gives off hipster vibes and is cool without trying to be cool. The two bartenders Josh and Xavier were amazing I came here around prime lunch time. I went and asked one of the bartenders, since they do not serve food if it was ok to bring some pastries inside and eat them with my drink. (There's a pastry place right next to the hammer bar) They said since it was a weekday and not busy I could bring something in. So I went and grabbed some food and sat there while drinking my drinks. They have bar seating and then they have hightop tables as well I asked them for some recommendations. Josh and Xavier both recommended The zombie (kept warning me that it was extremely strong. So I stayed away from that. AND, let me tell you, this was delicious AND looked amazing 10/10 Then I went with the banana clip- Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon, banana, mandarine, cinnamon, pineapple and lemon. 10/10, I loved it To be honest all the drinks sounded great. If I wasn't planning on going to other places and walking around the packing district, I would have just stayed at this bar and had a few more lol.
