5/5 This was my first time visiting this salon, and I had my haircut done by Jacky. My hair is actually quite difficult to cut because I have thick hair and I style it differently on a daily basis. Before cutting, Jacky carefully observed my hair texture, growth pattern, head shape, and even pointed out the strengths and weaknesses of my current hairstyle. I've had haircuts at many salons in both China and the United States, but no stylist has ever given me suggestions that suited me as well as his. Throughout the haircut, he paid close attention to every detail and took his time to make sure everything was done perfectly. The final result exceeded my expectations and suits me extremely well. You can really tell he cares about his work instead of rushing through appointments. I also want to compliment the lady who washed my hair. She was very experienced, and her scalp massage was amazing--one of the most relaxing shampoo experiences I've had. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my visit. Finding a hairstylist you truly trust is not easy, and I've finally found mine. I'll definitely be coming back to see Jacky again. Highly recommended! read more

This was my first time as this salon and it's conveniently located in the plaza where Chi Cha San Chen is. (exactly right next door too!) Most of the staff speak mainly Mandarin but the receptionist speaks English and can translate. If you have a photo for them, they will be able to understand what you want. Essen cut my hair and he did an amazing job! He cut my hair with lots of layers exactly like the photo I showed him! The price was $80 and I would definitely come back. This is the first time I've ever been so in love with a haircut! Once my blonde grows out more, I plan to get a perm done here! read more

I went to 2M salon for the first time and was so impressed! My hairstylist, Bruce, was very attentive and replicated exactly what I wanted on my inspo pic. I felt so seen! I always hopped salons because I felt like I could never find the one but I'm glad I found this one! Perfect place for any of your hair needs. They do a lot of services ranging from hair cuts to hair dyeing. The staff was super friendly and made me feel comfortable right away. Got a haircut and gave a reference photo of a hush cut. The person that was cutting my hair looked at the ref photo in the beginning and mid way through, he said I had too much hair so if I do the high layers, it's gonna make my hair very fluffy. He shouldn't have started cutting my hair if he doesn't think it can make it work. He suggested to keep it as a long layered bob. I didn't like it, so he put in some more layers. I think it's a very sleek style and that's all he might know how to do, but it wasn't what I came in for. It also took 2 hours for a 1 hour haircut because he kept going back and forth to do another person's hair in between my haircut. It was my first time coming to this salon and the service was amazing! One of the workers kindly guided me to a seat and asked me what I wanted to do with my hair today. I made an appointment for a cut and color with Franco on their website a few days in advance. He suggested getting the Milbon hair color dye due to my damaged/dry ends which I agreed to. He doesn't speak English but uses a translator app and checks in with you to make sure you like it. Super nice and was very detailed and thorough in the cut and coloring process! I will say that I asked for a chocolate brown color and it turned out slightly lighter (my previous color was light so it ended up somewhere in the middle) but I think my hair type just doesn't process color as easily because the dye was in for an additional 30 mins. I really needed a color because I had an event to attend later that day and I called 2M and they took me in same day. I gave them an idea of the color I wanted from their own work, and he made it happen. I really love my color and it's not damaged. While everyone spoke a Chinese language, I was able to communicate in English to get the color I desired. I was there for 1.5hrs and really enjoyed it. I will return. read more

I did a walk in and they we're extremely helpful. Keep in mind their primary language is not English but they do well with communication and even go as for as using Google Translate. I had Franco who was super accommodating and knew what to do off one second of showing him a pic of what I wanted. I essentially asked for long layers. He's keeps a very personable and chill vibe and asks for feedback every step of the way. It was a very efficient and well curated haircut which led to a great experience. I will be back. Their work is good and they take their time. But **be careful and ask them for a breakdown of the price before you proceed.** For bleaching, their price menu is set up in a way where it's xxx amount PER APPLICATION of bleach, not a one off price. The guy played it off like it was 120 to bleach my roots and bleach my entire head, but then kept insisting that my hair is too weak so he talked me into reapplying 4 times. I had a fantastic experience at 2M Salon! Sanda, Essen, and Sky were kind, respectful, and all of them are incredibly knowledgeable about hair. It was easy to book an appointment online via their website, I believe they take walk-ins as well. Blonde root touch ups are not an easy task for my hair type (very dark, frizzy Asian hair and my roots were grown out loooong like a few inches lol) and I am just so blown away by the results. They took the time to listen to what I wanted, clarified the process each step of the way, and also gave me tips on how to keep my hair healthy after having it bleached. I came to 2M after my hair was completely botched at another salon. I was pretty nervous about anyone touching it again, but 2M absolutely saved it. Came in one day after checking their Instagram to see that the specialize in hair coloring. After bleaching my hair for 6 years I needed to take a break. Sat in for a consultation and decided to do a keratins treatment for my damaged hair. They let me know that since my hair is already bleached it might be hard to do a natural black so they did a jet black instead. It looked amazing! Would leave zero stars if possible, communicated with the guy that did my hair about keeping my length and bangs the same and he left me looking like a little boy. Worst experience for someone with anxiety, the service is horrible and they laughed at me when I called them to talk about how unhappy I was. I went to get it fixed at the powder room in silver lake and they did an amazing job! Kat from the powder room helped me and was very nice, she said the guy that had cut my hair left it so uneven. Overall the haircut I got at the 2m salon was horrible and a nightmare, the guy left my hair awkward and cut in weird ways, I'd say he's not a good hair stylist.
