It was about 3:30pm when I came in, and no one else was there, which I Iliked since that allowed Ched to take his time with my hair. However, no sooner I did a check in and got into the chair for shampooing, three other women decided to show up and wanting their hair done too, lol! Hahaha, I brought Ched extra business on a slow Friday afternoon ;) Ched gave me a great scalp massage while shampooing my hair. After he applied conditioner, it got slippery and water sprayed all over. Luckily, I I wasn't soaked, and Ched was very apologetic from beginning to end, how sweet! :) Even though 3 women came in, Ched took his time with me, and didn't rush through. He asked me how I wanted my part, and covered up my lil hole on my top crown. He made my curls tight since my hair was baby fine and topped it off with Suave brand gel hairspray. My curls were awesome, and they held nicely throughout my friend's bday party. Best of all, when I came home and brushed it out before showering, it still looked amazing! *Sighs* had to brush it out otherwise, it'll look like a rat's nest in the morning, lol! The wash and curl took no more than 25 mins to do. Cost was $20 (not including tip). My curls were tight and intact with my baby fine hair. I did notice that unlike Drybar, Ched doesn't put mousse in there first, so some parts of curls were crunchy, but thank goodness not fried. However, my curls held up nicely, and so I was happy :) Located in the same plaza as Game Stop, Arby's and 99 Ranch Market in Alhambra. Michelle Hair Salon had several good reviews, is located in a strip mall on Garfield that's U-shaped so there's plenty of parking. I made an appointment but I believe she also takes walk-ins. She is nice and listens to what I wanted. She asked follow up questions to make sure we're on the same page. Her rates are very reasonable. She has a board against the wall that lists the prices for each service. I will definitely return again when I need a haircut.

She was nervous the entire time because it's a difficult style to get right, but May did an amazing job. The haircut turned out beautifully, and my friend received so many compliments afterward. He was very gentle with my hair (combing and blow drying on low heat). I also appreciated that he examined his work periodically throughout and check with me if it was to my liking (length, thinning, etc.). Prices were very reasonable. We were charged $45 for my partner's cut and $60 for mine. They completed both cuts within 1.5hrs and it also comes with a shampoo. I'd highly recommend this place!

A few weeks ago, I found TT Salon and Cindy on TikTok and Instagram, and was really impressed by…read morethe results she posted. Unfortunately, my experience was incredibly disappointing. I booked a digital perm and showed her multiple reference photos, including examples of Cindy's own previous work. Before we even started, she took out her phone and immediately began recording me and the reference photos, which made me feel uncomfortable and not fully listened to. She told me that to achieve the look I wanted, I needed more layers, so I agreed. I also specifically emphasized that I did NOT want a wavy perm, I wanted large, blowout-style curls just like the photos I showed her of her previous work and more. Instead, I left with tight waves that looked nothing like what I had requested. I was honestly so shocked and upset that I barely knew what to say. My hair looked damaged, and I knew I'd be stuck with the results for many months. When I expressed that this wasn't what I had asked for, she dismissively told me the reason it didn't look like the photos was because I needed more layers, even though she had already cut layers before starting the perm. She then cut even more layers afterward, leaving my hair thinned out, uneven, and very top-heavy. She then asked if I wanted her to redo the perm, but the way she responded felt abrupt and dismissive... after spending four hours in the chair, I wasn't comfortable putting my already damaged hair through another chemical process. She still recorded before and after videos when the results were clearly different from what I had requested. Overall throughout the whole service, there was very little communication, so I had no idea what the plan was and what was going on with my hair. I felt completely left out of the conversations. Cindy called after I left and offered to have me come back so she could restyle my hair, but by that point, styling wasn't the issue, the perm itself was not what I had asked for. A few days later, after hoping the curls would loosen, I contacted her on Instagram as unfortunately, it didn't improve. She didn't apologize at all and instead only referred me to the salon manager. The manager was kind, responsive, and acknowledged that he understood my frustration and agreed that the results were not what I had requested. But after several conversations, he offered either a redo or a 50% refund. I appreciated the effort, but I paid nearly $400 for a service that did not match what I requested... and now I have to spend more money at another salon in the future to try to correct it. I also wasn't comfortable accepting another chemical service so soon after my hair had already been damaged. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional from start to finish. I came in excited after seeing Cindy's work online, but I left completely disappointed with results that did not resemble my reference photos, and am still dealing with the results. My hair is still damaged, frizzy, half straight have tight waves, just a mess. Based on my experience, I would absolutely not recommend this salon.
