I like to wait a few weeks before I review nail salons because the quality always reveals itself in the time that passes and I'm impressed, my acrylic nails with gel x that I got over two weeks ago have grown out and are still going strong! There's no discoloration, no chipping in the gel, no lifting at the cuticle, and more importantly, all still intact like I just got them done! Ladies, we all know how annoying it is when your natural nails start to grow out and your hair gets caught underneath the acrylic nails in the shower- But not 2Q! I'm so happy with the quality! Kevin is very friendly & runs the business well! I can't wait to come back :)
I have been coming here for almost two years and always take the opportunity to rave about them. Mary is my go-to nail tech. I always go to her for fills and designs. Her technique was great when I first met her and she has only gotten better! Her and Kevin are amazing at what they do. They're so friendly and take the time to get to know their customers and have great prices. It's cheaper if you bring cash because there's a little fee when you pay with a card. The inside is always clean and decorated for the holidays, too. Before coming to 2Q, I went to so many places in the area and nothing has beat the customer service and quality of this place. If you're looking for great customer service, quality work and fair prices--look no further than 2Q Nails!
I recently went in to get a pedicure and I had asked for a deluxe pedicure with gel french tips in light blue with blueberry theme. I will insert an image of my reference picture below. I sat down in the chair and I noticed that the techs appeared to be reusing gloves (i am only saying this because they were inside out and they were turning them the correct way prior to putting them on). That made me a bit nervous but I trusted that they would do their best to keep their clients safe. My pedicure started and then I overheard the manager talking about their "hard gel" services and I really wanted to try it out at their salon because I've done hard gel at other salons previously and I loved it. So I had asked if I could add on a hard gel manicure. I was very excited because I was going to have a fresh set for my best friend's baby shower later that afternoon. I had spent a long time growing out my nails which has been a very difficult and tedious process for me. I have also spent a great deal of time taking care of my toe nails so that they do not get too long or ingrown. I hadn't touched my toe nails or finger nails in about a month in anticipation of getting a new set professionally done, so I wanted to be sure there was a good foundation. My pedicure was going well when my manicure was started simultaneously. I previously had hard gel on my nails and the tech placed the soak off with acetone and tried taking it off almost immediately and drilling down the gel in between and placing the cotton with acetone on the nail beds, causing my nails to burn and become sensitive and super thin after I worked so hard to grow them out (which has never happened to me during a salon manicure). This made me very sad and I let the tech know but she proceeded to drill instead of just waiting a few more minutes for the gel to soften. When it came to the filing, I had to keep asking for corrections throughout the entire process and I felt terrible because I am normally never one to complain but the mistakes were excessive. My nails were extremely uneven and I brought this to her attention and she said that it had already been "taking too long" which confused me because I thought I was paying for the service so I would have liked to not be rushed. She did not end up fixing the shape and the designs were half assed. :( They charged $10 extra for french tip and $2 for each design but I definitely do not think this was worth an extra $12, I used to do my own nails and I rarely ever go to salons so I was excited to treat myself. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed in the service. I had to ask for several corrections throughout the manicure and at one point I just got tired of pointing things out and having nothing done about it. When it came to the hard gel application, I was waiting for it to happen and it did not. The tech was just applying layers and layers and layers of this clear gel coat and then proceeded to paint over it, which is definitely not hard gel. The tech also began to rush toward the middle of the service when everyone else went on what seemed to be a lunch break, and she cut one of my fingers really bad and it's still in immense pain 3 days later. I also ended up getting THREE toe nail infections from the pedicure. I did not have any pain or ingrown toe nails before this pedicure and 3 days later it hurts to even put on my shoes for work, and I'm a nurse, so I walk around A LOT and require close-toed shoes. At the end of the service, I ended up showing the manager the cut on my finger and he sprayed it with alcohol to "clean" it and sent me on my way. He even closely examined the nails and said they were "cute" but I feel like he saw that they were bad and just didn't want to say anything. I felt guilty asking for a discount but I don't think I should have had to. All in all I was not going to complain but considering the infections, the cut on my finger, and the fact that I walked in with enough length and thickness for my original design that I requested, i'm very disappointed with this salon, its cleanliness, and the tech's willingness to make corrections that I am paying hard-earned money for. I literally walked out and started crying because I had no words but i'm not sure why I felt so guilty speaking up for myself since I was charged $120 for this. Anyway, I REALLYYY hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. it literally ruined my whole day :( update: it is now 4 days later and there is now PUSS leaking out from how infected my toe got i am in so much pain side note: i appreciate the offer from the owner but i went to the doctor because of how much pain i was in and they put me on an anti fungal cream and said I shouldn't get another pedicure for at least two months until this heals :( even then i'm afraid to go back and im sure it's too late for a refund.
As much as I loved this place, when I got the nail powder dip it was great. I went there for 3 times at least and got the dip powder. The 4th time the owner suggested I get gel to last even longer but they lasted one week when I was getting the dip they lasted for at least 2 weeks and my nails grew.

Today was my 2nd time here. (Last time was a year ago, haven't had my nails done this past year) I messaged ahead and Kevin was very helpful and got me an appt this evening. I work in an elementary school and I wanted back to school nails. Kevin did an amazing job and the lady who did my pedicure was so gentle and aweome too. They knew how to read me and they weren't pushy or trying to upsell anything. The salon was super clean and relaxing. But my favorite part wasn't even the mani/pedi, it was the spirited conversation I had with Kevin while he did my nails. It was a conversation I didn't realize i needed! Mary was my nail technician. She was welcoming. I came in with a broken nail. She took her time to cut them down, re-shape them, re-fill them and fix the broken nail. She was very attentive and professional. I didn't feel rushed. She allowed me take my time in choosing a color. She made suggestions and I appreciated her input. JUST AN AMAZING SHOP OVERALL!! I have been jumping around from Nail salon to Nail salon searching.... Glad to say I found my favorite nail tech here at 2Q Nail Spa. Mary is amazing with nails. I wish I had a picture of my nails before I walked in there to let you guys know how bad they were literally cracked everything and it hadn't even been two weeks yet from another nail spa. She did her magic (mind you it's a fill from another shop couldn't do a new set because I know my nail bed is badly damaged) and had me waking out like the picture below all with a smile on her face. I was introduced to 2Q nails a few months ago. I was hesitant to try a new place. I am a large framed individual and have mobility issues, so I wanted to make sure that I could be accommodated, and I was very delighted to know that they could. I was serviced by Lily. I explained to her my issues and she helped me lift my legs and place in the basin. I chose the king and queen predicate which includes a massage, hot stones, hot towels, and paraffin wax in addition to your traditional pedicure (soak, cut nails, clean cuticle, remove ingrown, and callus removed) The whole experience was relaxing and calming. Their spa chairs are very nice and provide a very good massage. I have since been back at least 4 times and each time, they do not disappoint. You also don't have to sign any waivers or have video of you taken and posted on social media without your permission like the place up the street from here in the Stater bros shopping center and it's less expensive than most places. If you want good service, you should definitely give 2q a try. You will not be disappointed and if you are, speak to Kevin. He will make it right. read more

The service here is soooo friendly it's rare. Most nail places are in a rush and want you in and out. This place is relaxing and the owner Kevin is so welcoming. All the staff is patient and efficient. It's also very clean and extremely affordable. My daughters got acrylics and Kevin reminded me that I really needed my pedicure, I don't regret it. Wellll......the New Owners of this Nail Salon really saved this place!! Talk about a hidden Gem! I got my nails done by Kevin and when I tell you he took his time and was patient he made me feel like he really cared what I wanted. I got acrylic with Mermaid collection gel and I swear it was Only $45-55 you can't beat that price ladies. His fiances name is Mary and she gave me a coat and it's just 10/10 here. They told me about things they offer. Like his special pedicure package with his wine and they even have family packages where they close the store down for just for you and the family. I wish I could remember her name but she sat behind Kevin, she was, FANTASTIC. Kevin the owner was also absolutely amazing. It was a wonderful visit from beginning to end!!! I can't wait to go back to them sometime this week for my fill. I'll get my nail techs name again and update my review but wow. Came here for the first time yesterday and brought my 3yr old with me so she can experience her first pedicure and WOW I'm just so happy I found this gem-- live about 25+ min from here but would actually travel to come back because the service was top tier. Their prices are fair and they have a number of services to choose from. They made my daughter's first experience amazing by giving her the princess treatment and they were so sweet with her.
