Despite her assertion that I had no idea what I was looking for, I told her precisely what I was looking for: a bonded pair of cats that were a little older, say two years old or older. I had just lost my cat and my dog. I had also just lost my husband. All this within four months. I found my house too quiet without the pets and my husband, and that is why I reached out to Rhae. I wanted something to care for, a bonded pair of cats seemed exactly what I needed, having had cats all of my life. I never bad mouthed other rescue organizations, other than mentioning the southern golden retriever organization from whom my husband and I adopted two fabulous golden retrievers. While the dogs were great, the organization was not. Unfortunately, I am in very good company as pertains to being dissatisfied with that group, and I only mentioned it to Rhae when she specifically asked me if I had worked with other organizations. The forum of yelp asks for reviews. They do not ask for only positive reviews, they asked for both negative and positive, and I have given both, so on that issue and only that issue, Rhae was correct. The vetting of my house was not done by Rhae, it was done by the other woman, and we had a delightful time. Rhae is clearly a bitter and unhappy human being who calls anyone slightly older than she "elderly. "Indeed, I have let my hair go salt and pepper since Covid. That does not make me elderly. Indeed, I shared with Rhae that I had a major back surgery the year before, which is why kittens were out of the question because I could not bend as often as they might need me to. That does not make me elderly. That makes me aware of the limitations of my body and reluctant to jeopardize my health. That also makes me someone who wants to completely fulfill the needs of whatever cats I adopt. Don't believe Rhae's gaslighting. It is as fake as she is. read more

Besides Rhae being our neighbor, my partner and I have gotten the opportunity to visit/play with the cats/kittens she has had. We'll see her pull out a playpen and put kittens in it so they can play. I've helped her with TNR in the past and she's very knowledgeable when it comes to cats. I had a friend who was asking me if I knew someone to help her with the colony of cats she had, I sent her to Rhae and she helped my friend out. The cats got fixed from my friend's neighborhood and some have been put up for adoption. My friend and her sister are forever thankful that Rhae came to the rescue when they had no idea what to do. Till this day we get updates on the kittens so we're all in the loop how they've been doing. I adopted 2 siblings, Skunk and Flower from this rescue 5 years ago. On the date of my visit to meet the cats, I noticed that Rhae observed my interaction with the kittens, very carefully. When I decided to adopt, she asked all the important questions and conducted all the important inspections. I never met someone more caring for the cats in her custody. She always puts the welfare of the kitties FIRST - the recent 1 Star review is an attempt to discredit a solid and more than trustworthy organization. That inflated and highly fictitious review is another example of the unpredictable/unsafe fosters in the world that she has dealt with where she has had to unfortunately "re-rescue" kitties to place them in better circumstances. (And the "mean" messages referred to by the writer I have seen and they were borderline criminal in their malice.) It's a sad testament that we do need more reliable foster homes to help get kitties in need off the streets. I have worked with multiple animals rights and rescue operations in my life and have ZERO doubts that 2TheResq is doing GREAT work. This Rescue and the proprietor has tirelessly helped so many cats and so many people for years. She does it all, trap, foster, network, does admin to put cats & kittens up for adoption, finds funding & resources for hard to find appointments, medical, supplies etc. Rescue is very hard & very involved, and time after time, there are some fosters & people who do not follow direction & think they know better than the rescuer. Rhae has been an absolute angel. Since the start of the process with Newton and finding him the right foster. She's always came to me with steps and the way things are gonna go. Even the first time I ever met her to take Newton into her home she showed me such compassion and continuously thanked me for saving him even though she's the one that saved him. I have been following this cat rescue daily for 6 months now on FB, I have even recommended them to people in need with rehoming poor abandoned cats on the street. The people who run this rescue do Nothing But Good ! I have watched them selflessly set traps, wait, rescue, take in, take to Veterinarian, spay, neuter, love, rehome to loving homes all the whole taking Live photos of all their good deeds . I was shocked to come across this page. I don't know what this Courtney M is talking about! Everything she writes is so far from the truth, it is mystifying. I have been a foster, a transporter, a fellow trapper, a donator, and an ally of Rhae and 2theResq for years. She is very dedicated to helping the cats and kittens of Los Angeles, where we have a population explosion of massive proportions. She has saved many HUNDREDS of lives, and much of it, out of her own pocket. She has never made a cent towards her own comfort, and as most rescues, loses money with each adoption. For instance, a couple months ago, one of her street-rescued kittens started failing to thrive, and she rushed him to the emergency vet, and paid $1300+ for treatment. THAT is what rescues, both 501c3's and independents, do. If she had a problem with any foster (red flags thrown up), she would do what any rescue would do - find a more suitable foster. Rhae is so far from a "pet flipper", it's laughable. Please do not take this one person's review as truth. In one of the worst kitten seasons ever, we must support these good people and do whatever we can to help. I can't say enough about rhae and 2theresq ! I have known her for quite some time now and she is 100% professional in how she handles the kitties and how they are all cared for. She is a huge asset to surrounding communities who contact her day and night about cats and kittens needing help. People who move and leave the cat, seniors who need assistance with medical and food, people who love a cute kitten but then do not get it fixed and boots it outside . Her wealth of knowledge and her experience with the sickest or most difficult of cats is astounding. She bends over backwards to get kitties healthy and adopted, all medical is done before the adoption so adopters go home with happy healthy kitties. She spends hours just helping people with behavioral issues with cats helping them so they don't just get dumped at a shelter. She has happily taken back into her rescue any cat or kitten where it has not worked out for one reason or another...which I will say is rare! She is great at matching the personality of the kitty to the familys/persons life situation. This person who texted/wrote this review has some serious issues and yelp is contributing to her ignorance by allowing it to stand. I have personally adopted 2 feral kitties from rhae, Chloe and chance...all vetting was done and transportation arranged for them to be delivered half way...I drove up and met half way. Anybody who has any questions or concerns can investigate rhae and her rescue, she has people and veterinarians who will attest to her incredible wonderful reputation. I for one will speak to anyone who asks...it is very sad that this one person can write whatever she wants with zero proof, and rhae has to defend herself from not only a horrible accusation but texts threatening her very being. 2theresq has saved thousands and thousands of lives...I can't say enough good things. I hope everyone will look themselves and not take the word of one woman. By the way a cardboard carrier is NOT a good Carrier, cats rip through it easily which is why all our vets don't even accept them anymore.
