I'm extremely disappointed with CatConnection more so with the owner Adrienne. I was inquiring about adoption a kitten or a bonded pair so she made me fill out an application. She then sent me an email (which had VERY demeaning undertones) about me capability of feeding a kitten on a schedule and questions about a vaccine I gave my cat. I guess I mistook the name of a vaccine for another and was quick to explain my fault. This wasn't enough for Adrienne. She continued to ask me very open ended questions with very biased opinions. I obviously kept my professionalism and Adrienne did not. Vaccine regulations are different from state to state. In the state of California, no vaccines are actually required but are strongly recommended. Where I originated, core and rabies vaccines were required annually. It is your responsibility as a pet parent to talk to your vet and learn what's best for your cat for where you live and your situation. Adrienne questioned my reasoning for giving my cat the rabies vaccine if he doesn't go outside. Knowing that rabies is 100% fatal to cats with no treatment available...as a good cat parent, I'd do anything preventative to protect my cats health. I'm not sure how cats get adopted and from reading the other reviews I'm not the only one who feels this way. With the way Adrienne's privilege and unprofessionalism prevents cats from going to living homes, I'm surprised this business is still running. It's also quite obvious that Adrienne can't take criticism or alternate opinions through her replies to the negative comments. Instead of responding to issues efficiently, she's quick to defend herself. I personally don't feel comfortable adopting from a place with such negative energy and I would strongly advise to adopt from somewhere that is warm, welcoming and treats their adopters and cats with respect.

Post that phone call, my feelings about the way she handled herself Changed, and I was wary of her. Despite her assertion that I had no idea what I was looking for, I told her precisely what I was looking for: a bonded pair of cats that were a little older, say two years old or older. I had just lost my cat and my dog. I had also just lost my husband. All this within four months. I found my house too quiet without the pets and my husband, and that is why I reached out to Rhae. I wanted something to care for, a bonded pair of cats seemed exactly what I needed, having had cats all of my life. I never bad mouthed other rescue organizations, other than mentioning the southern golden retriever organization from whom my husband and I adopted two fabulous golden retrievers. While the dogs were great, the organization was not. Unfortunately, I am in very good company as pertains to being dissatisfied with that group, and I only mentioned it to Rhae when she specifically asked me if I had worked with other organizations. The forum of yelp asks for reviews. They do not ask for only positive reviews, they asked for both negative and positive, and I have given both, so on that issue and only that issue, Rhae was correct. The vetting of my house was not done by Rhae, it was done by the other woman, and we had a delightful time. Rhae is clearly a bitter and unhappy human being who calls anyone slightly older than she "elderly. "Indeed, I have let my hair go salt and pepper since Covid. That does not make me elderly. Indeed, I shared with Rhae that I had a major back surgery the year before, which is why kittens were out of the question because I could not bend as often as they might need me to. That does not make me elderly. That makes me aware of the limitations of my body and reluctant to jeopardize my health. That also makes me someone who wants to completely fulfill the needs of whatever cats I adopt. Don't believe Rhae's gaslighting. It is as fake as she is.

As someone who has only ever rescued pets, being told that I'm somehow not suitable for one of "their" dogs was honestly laughable. I fully understand that rescues need to screen adopters and make decisions based on what is best for each animal. What I experienced here, however, left me with very little confidence that their process is as fair or objective as they claim. I'm also deeply uncomfortable with their practice of pulling cocker spaniels from shelters before those dogs ever have an opportunity to become available for adoption to the general public. There is something incredibly frustrating about watching a rescue take dogs out of the public shelter system, only to make adopting those same dogs feel unnecessarily restrictive. Rescue should be about getting animals into safe, loving, permanent homes--not creating an exclusive gatekeeping process around animals that desperately need them. Unfortunately, my experience with this organization left me questioning whether its priorities truly align with that mission. Social media visibility and fundraising have become such a prominent part of modern rescue culture that transparency and accountability matter more than ever. I feel most sorry for the beautiful animals caught in the middle of it. They deserve loving homes, and I sincerely hope every one of them eventually gets one. Based on my experience, I would absolutely recommend looking elsewhere if you're hoping to adopt.

They are a rescue for dogs and specialize in caring for puppies without homes. They are a nonprofit so any and all help is appreciated to keep their facilities running. I was so happy to pay for a reasonably priced "puppy party" for my kids to enjoy that would also help animals in need. We opted to have an - In house puppy party event at their facility. If you know anyone looking to adopt a fur companion please consider this place. Finding the facility is a little difficult to find as there's no signage detailing where the business is, but the address is legible outside of it. There's metered parking in the front of the building. Be aware that most of the meters do not function which means, you can still park there anyway. Samantha was our host for our in house event today and she set up the play area and cleaned up any puppy "messes" rapidly along the way. She was very kind and supervised with so much care for my children and those adorable pups. The pups had lots of toys to choose from, water bowls and were just so lovely. If my place allowed animals - I'm sure we would have taken one home! My kids ENJOYED their time and fell in love with these 5 sweet and energetic puppies!!! Core memories were made and for my children this was everything they could hope for. As a mama seeing their faces and joy filled my heart. Today was a good day! Thank You Pups Without Borders!!!
