I must only imagine that those rating this as good Cuban food have never actually had Cuban food. You can find much better in Stockbridge or Bonaire, depending on what direction you want to go. Heck you can find better Cuban food at my house and I am a pasty Irish girl. The pork was basically boiled and 50% fat, white rice (huh?) was over cooked as were flavorless black beans. Also, if serving yucca as a boiled substitute for wallpaper paste, please note that on the menu. Also, I learned yucca has bones, someone should call animal planet to get it reclassified from a plant to an animal. As far a Mexican food , throw a stone anywhere in Macon and you will hit better Mexican food. I wish I could give points for service but that was lacking too. Found this gem while looking up places to have brunch on Saturday morning. I'm from out of town so usually when I go to macon it's to do a little shopping and the restaurants are all chain restaurants which I can find back home. I found 3 countries on yelp and let me tell you I was in for a surprise. I have Cuban friends so I know what Cuban food should look and taste like and this is by far the best I've had. The portions are huge. I had plenty left over. I'll attach a picture. My sister has the Cuban sandwich and she was only able to eat half of half !!! I had the 13. Roast pork and my mom had 15. Carnitas , fair warning.... although the meat looks very similar the seasoning is very different , both very delicious though. I'm not sure if they didn't have CONGRI(a mixture of white rice and black beans cooked together)this day but the replacement was delicious either way. I will definitely return to this place. One recommendation I did have is order yourself a little side salad , this plate has so many delicious CARBS and such... so you may want a little green in your life if that's your preference . read more

Walked in on a slow, rainy Saturday afternoon. "Party of two." Only four other people in the restaurant huddled together eating a quiet lunch. Cool table settings, colorful chair arrangements, and pretty pictures that looked like they were all of Spain and... Italy. Only seemed to be two people working, but we seated ourselves and ordered quickly enough, as one of the ladies serving us frowned at us, gave us our cups and paper towel napkins, and then gave us a reluctant smile as she walked off. By that time, the initial uneasiness we had when we walked in had subsided a bit. All the other reviews talk about the good quality of the Cuban and super-Mexican foods but I ordered a simple chicken taco salad and the very adventurous girl sitting across from me ordered a cheese quesadilla. We also had some chips that had a weird scent to them but went great with the surprisingly awesome salsa. I can say this because the previously mentioned adventurous girl isn't a NORMAL person and doesn't eat salsa but still tried it and said it was good. Both entrees were good, actually. I didn't try Adventurous Girl's quesadillas but she gave them her mark of approval and the chicken on my salad was super, super good for simply chicken on salad. I only give the place three stars because I didn't try their flagship stuff and it didn't seem fair to give or take away stars based on stuff I didn't have. After the meal, though, we visited the attached frame shop inside the same building and with a little investigation officially determined that the whole place was a portal to another dimension and a front for an ancient secretive teleportation society. My father and his parents are from Cuba. I grew up eating authentic Cuban cuisine. Anyone that claims 3 countries is not authentic, has probably eaten some other type of food they thought was Cuban. I have tried EVERY dish on the Cuban menu, many more than once. I have always been extremely pleased!!! Portions are healthy, taste is excellent, and price is extremely reasonable for what you get. I have been here quite a bit since I found them almost 2 years ago. I have tried some of the Mexican dishes as well, and while not exactly what I expected (we all gain perceptions from places like Taco {yuck} Bell), they have always been extremely satisfying to my palet. I love their chips and especially their in house made salsa!! They truly need to bottle that stuff!! And NEVER (and I do mean NEVER) have I ever gotten stale or bad tasting chips. The owners and their family who run this place are extremely friendly and courteous. The only thing I would change? Turn the dining room thermostat down a little (guess it's that hot Cuban blood in me)... LOL... but that is a small thing. Their food is worth braving even warmer temps during the summer!!! Let's face it. Some people just don't like real Cuban Cuisine. The best thing to do since they have mostly fantastic reviews, is try it for yourself. We ordered here for lunch and had about 8 orders. Food was ready promptly. Everyone enjoyed their dish. I had the Cuban sandwich and plantains. The sandwich was one of the best things I've had in a long time. While I never have tried Cuban, I can't speak to it's authenticity, but it was very tasty. My plantains were overcooked and didn't have any seasoning, so I'd skip those next time. Otherwise, everything was delicious and I'll for sure be back. read more

I love a family owned restaurant and this is one of the best. Today I had the Cuban with fries and a drink. The server said it was his favorite and I understand why. It was the best I've had and the fries are fresh cut. It just couldn't have been better. I've been here before for American and Mexican food and have always been pleased. Service was sweet and genuine. Staff is very polite and helpful with a great attitude. Cuban sandwich--only okay. Deli ham on sandwich not good. Tacos bad. Yellow American cheese on the American style tacos....most restaurant use white cheese. (I know we're white, but c'mon!) Plantains were awesome and generous portions which is nice, and the price is very low on their whole menu, which does offer a huge array of cuisine. Kinda sketchy part of Macon with an unsettling parking area, but it's alright. Ordered a Cuban coffee (very familiar with it) and they made me an American coffee I guess assuming I wouldn't know the difference. I drink Cuban coffee every day. Three Countries is right down the street from my job so it's very convenient and overall really great food. I'm from California and I'm use to eating authentic tacos and I wasn't able to find them in Macon until now. This restaurants has them just how I like!! This used to be Out 2 Lunch and it was wonderful then. Today I ordered the Wednesday special, 3 hard shell tacos with beans and rice. It was horrible. There was enough meat in all three tacos to actually fit in one and was fried too hard and the chicken was way over cooked. I will not be back for this! read more

I got the fried tacos and they were delicious. My husband got the Cuban steak and was very satisfied. As for my young son, he got a single beef taco and when I tasted it, the beef was different and way better than what you normally get in a Mexican restaurant. We will definitely be coming back here. I've been trying to find a great Cuban restaurant near Warner Robins besides Emilio's and 3 Countries is amazing. The food is delicious and great portions. The staff is so friendly and very nice. I had ordered carne asada, rice, black beans and papa rellenas and it was alot of food. My wife ordered the same but when it all came out to the table we were like holy cow this alot! My husband and I tried this place because it got such good ratings. However the only thing we really enjoyed was the salsa. It was spicy, fresh, and delicious. I got the chicken fajitas. When they came out in knew they probably weren't going to be that good because they had no color on them from spices. The chicken almost had a boiled color. My husband got the Cuban bbq chicken. If you look at the pictures on here of the fajitas and cuban bbq that someone took, our food looked nothing like it. He said his chicken was pretty bland. I love this place! Come here all the time for the daily Cuban specials. Always very good. Today I tried inner of the Mexican dishes, chicken enchiladas. They were better than anything I've ever had at any "Mexican" restaurant. Very fresh and authentic, not the same old bland stuff most serve. Also refried beans were awesome. I can't really review the food or the products bc I went there at 8:10 pm and see on the door that they close at 830. All I wanted was to try the coffee a friend told me about so I went and asked if the were still open. Being that it is a new restaurant u would figure they would serve u to build clientele even if it was closing time , but it wasn't they were still open for 20 more min but I guess it's to much of a hassle to fix a coffee with twenty min of their precious time. Again I can't dog out the food or the product bc they turned me away due to laziness. So if ur expecting a coffee after eight o'clock even if they don't close for another 30 min, sad to say but take yourself right down to Starbucks where customer satisfaction is present. Very very dissatisfied how new business owners here in town don't have the drive to make a customer based business and realize that in order to make money u need customers not just some ego and a lazy attitude. read more
