He called Daves and spoke to Joe who had no reason to help us, as we weren't using their service. However Joe reached out to a team and had them to us within an hour. Although they were booked solid, and couldn't accommodate my immediate move. Aubrey spent hours reaching out and trying to help me find someone who had a timeframe I needed. This is my first negative review, but I feel that I must share my experience so others do not face the same experience. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Unfortunately, 3 Daves was recommended to us. To make a very long, painful moving day short, we were given a quote that was a little bit below others and we were promised several movers. On moving day, we learned that one of the movers called out (however, there was no communication from the company about this). I gave the company a call and after 4 attempts, Aubrey Surface picked up. He was the most unprofessional owner we have ever worked with. He actually screamed at both of us on the phone telling us this was not his fault and that we had way more stuff than he quoted us (this was not true, and luckily we had the email record with an itemized list to prove it.. we actually had less because we moved our own kitchen prior to moving day). Aubrey tried to charge us hundreds over what they quoted us because it took the movers longer than quoted (which makes sense, considering there was supposed to be another guy). The mover even told us that if they had the third person they would have been done by 1pm instead of 6:30pm. The movers worked very hard, but because they were short staffed, they threw our things haphazardly into the truck (see photo) which resulted in damaging several of our items. One of our tables was completely broken and the guy said "eh, things happen." We had one box labeled with many "fragile" stickers containing many bubble wrapped items - every single item in the box was shattered. I didn't even bother calling the company for fear of being yelled at again. Please, do yourself the courtesy and do not go with this company. We are very disappointed in 3 Dave's Moving . They did not honor anything that was to,d to us. We signed up for 6 men and 2 trucks and only 5 inexperienced young men showed up late. They didn't put down protective coverings on our floors and doors as promised. They scratched our stairs, broke a large tool cabinet and put an item on the truck that was not supposed to be packed. The truck leaked oil on the driveway and one of the movers dumped ashes from the grill onto the yard. On the second day to unload, only 5 showed up again, then after one hour, two movers left, then another. We were down to 2 guys so my husband and I had to help. Of course this took us to the maximum hours and after we questioned the lack of 6 men, Aubrey only reduced the price by $80. Aubrey was contentious and didn't care that we weren't satisfied. read more

I had Aubrey's team come and take down a pool table for storage and then come back and set it back up when we had the room ready. We are so disappointed in this company! We have used them 3 times before and referred them to multiple people who also used them and we had a horrible experience this past time! We had contracted with them to move us from our old house in Gainesville to our new house in Warrenton (about 7 miles). When the sales guy came out to give us a quote he estimated that we would need 2 large trucks, 5 guys and 8 hours. We told him that we were probably going to take a bunch of stuff over to the new house ourselves so we didn't think it would be that extensive but he said he would rather over estimate than under estimate. Okay great! Day of the move: 5 guys show up and start moving! Everything was great! They were at our old house for approx 3 hours and they were pretty careful (they put some scratches in the floor and apparently damaged my husband's expensive bow flex weights)but they said we could submit a claim and one of the guys took pictures of the damage. We were very satisfied by that. After we left to go to the new house we got there in about 15 minutes and waited and waited and they showed up about an hour later with no explanation as to where they were. Once they got to the new house it went downhill! My husband gave them their tips ($60 per guy) and they just decided that they were done working. While my husband was on the phone they ended up leaving. When my husband got off the phone and went to look at what had been done, none of the beds were put together, mirrors were not put together, the couch was in pieces, doors that were taken down were not put back up...so he called the main office and they said that their guys absolutely should have done that stuff! So the guy called them and told them to come back to our house and do everything they they hadn't done. Well they came back and did everything that they didn't do which was good but they were not happy. When my husband called back about 2 weeks later and asked what they were going to do for us in terms of damages and the guy that answered the phone was very rude and asked if we had taken pictures. We were takin aback because aren't we the customer who paid them several thousands of dollars? The man just said that someone will send a claim form and hung up! So now we probably have at least $500 worth of damage...So annoyed by this entire process! We will no longer be recommending this company!! Stay away!!! read more

Do not hire this company! They will damage your property and not pay your claim. They dropped a noightstand beyond repair and damaged drywall when it rolled down the steps. In addition, they damaged a steel door carrying furniture out of our house. They gave us 10 days to file a claim and a quote to fix the damaged drywall and door. They refuse to pay the claim. They wanted to send "their" contractor to fix the drywall but refuse to provide proof that the contractor is licensed, insured and bonded and even told us we didn't need someone licensed, bonded and insured in our home. Trust us, this company will only damage your belongings and cause you problems. read more

Contracted with them for moving and storage services. Their crew of 5 showed up on time, were prepared with the materials needed to pack and wrap some fragile glass items, and worked hard. Took care to not damage anything in the home and cleaned up when they left. High praise to 3 Dave's. read more

We had a terrible experience with these guys. One of the packers was very aggressive about trying to get us to give her some of our stuff, and then very aggressive about getting a tip. One of the other packers stole $220 in cash. The owner said 'we don't do business that way' and offered to repay, which was the right thing to do. However it took 3 weeks of phone calls to get them to send the check. When they did, it was short. Although it was specifically addressed during the estimate phase, the packers did nothing to pack/box our mattress, which wound up uncovered in the truck. Upon delivery, it had dirt and grease stains on it. Once our stuff arrived at the new house, the lead guy had my wife sign the form and write a check, then after she signed he wrote on the form 'Customer declines inventory' (which she didn't). We didn't discover until they were done, that they hadn't been checking off the boxes with the inventory sheet. There is no way to determine whether all the boxes were delivered. We paid a lot of money for an important move and had a very bad experience. Stay away from these guys. read more

The Three Daves Moving truck is totally blocking the entrance to my apartment parking lot! And they refuse to move the truck! People move in and out of here all the time... and the moving trucks do not block the entrance. They "apologized" for the inconvenience but didn't move the truck and acted like I was over the top with my complaint. uh... No. Furthermore, I was trying to get into my parking lot to unload things from my car and then park. And they wouldn't let me in. But what if someone had an emergency and need to leave the parking lot? Hello! After experiencing such a lack of understanding and rudeness of these movers on such a simple matter, I wonder what they would mess up on moving your valuables. Ditto to what Keith B. said. read more
