So delicious ! There's a very diverse menu they have Portuguese Italian and Spanish food . Dined in and I ordered a half a chicken with the saffron rice and a salad and it was awesome I brought a lot home with me -very generous portions . I went for lunch around 2ish and there was only 2 other people in the place. I went with and old friend and the food was fabulous. We both had fried calamari appetizers which were very good. I order a full rack of "fall off the bone hickory bourbon baby back ribs" which were fabulous. My buddy had a mixed meat and shrimp dish with spanish yellow rice which was also delicious. This place is amazing.. the food and service have been top notch. The ambience is ok. But you can't eat ambience. I have the Valencia paella. The best I've ever had I was in Spain in Valencia. So to know of the flavour and the portion and the quality of the seafood and rice outstanding. I also had the garlic shrimp, which was also top-notch. their seafood is delicious. That's what you go there for. The service was efficient. Caring knowledgeable. The store is in a strip center. But the interior is clean and well organized. We stopped in yesterday 12/14/2021 at around 5PM. I chose the "Portuguese Steak", which is a steak topped with ham and an egg in a brown garlic sauce. Also included was Spanish potatoes and few pickled veggies. My wife ordered the less than 10 oz. NY steak with two sides. We both ordered our steaks to be cooked "medium", pink inside. As we waited, the meals are cooked to order, the small restaurant started to fill up. This was encouraging. Our meals arrived after a reasonable wait which was also nice. The presentation of my plate was appetizing and appealing. I sliced a piece of steak, which seemed tough, but with the gravy was tasty. The Spanish potatoes had no taste, but when soaked with the gravy was also tasty. The few pickled veggies were a pleasant counter taste. As I ate and sliced the steak and saw that the steak was over cooked, my jaw got sore from chewing the meat to soften it enough to swallow. My wife complained to me that her less than 10 oz. steak was also overcooked and tough. She cut me a piece and it was highly over cooked and much tougher than mine. Her steak was very thin, less than 1/2 inch thick. She also said the veggies she ordered as a side was overcooked and bland. The saffron rice, also a side, was tasteless. After a while both our jaws where sore and we both had "lumps" in our throat. We didn't finish our meals and asked for the check. We mentioned to the waiter that the steaks were overcooked and he was apologetic. We did notice that most of the diners ordered fish meals. Perhaps that is the best thing to order here? Word to the wise; do not order the steaks. read more

IMHO the best food in the area. It's hard to find great Portuguese cuisine down the shore but this place is it. Great sized portions with enough to have left overs for the lunch the next day (that is if you don't over eat because it's so good you don't want to stop eating it). This was our first visit to 3 Flags. It is a small, yet clean restaurant. Very nice selection of food to eat. It was noon time, so we went with the afternoon special menu. I had pallia and my wife had garlic shrimp. Both meals were prepared with care. The lunch came with soup or salad, dinner and dissert, along with coffee. The pallia was tasty, maybe a little to wet, yet it did not interfere with the taste. My wife said the garlic shrimp was very good. We chose soup rather than salad to start with, we were told it was chicken noodle soup. What we got was Caldo Gallego, a cabbage soup with lentils. The waiter didn't realize that it was the wrong soup. Don't get me wrong, the soup was great. I was happy for the error. For dissert they offered bread pudding, not one of my favorites, the server offed ice cream instead. Three scoops of ice cream were on the plate. The coffee was very strong, just how I like it, and served in a large cup. The price for this lunch was very reasonable and we will come back soon to try the regular menu. read more

Ordered delivery. We have been wanting to try this place for a while now. Glad we finally did. Had the Cowboy Texicano. Amazing. Usually when I order takeout restaurants overcook the steak. But it was perfectly medium rare. Tried the Spanish potatoes. Forgot they're similar to potato chips. They were crispy salty in a good way with just a hint of vinegar. Loved them. We also got the Ribs. Haven't tried them yet but looking forward to tasting them. Definitely want to go back! read more

We were pleasantly surprised on Saturday. Early dinner because we were coming from an event. The place was crowded and more so when we left at about 6:15. Waitress Cindy left something to be desired. Soft-spoken, glossed over specials, not detained on Chicken Franceses (maybe that was what it was). In this day and age print the special with prices. Can that cost you $5 a day... doubtful. Anyway, the appetizer of Portuguese sausage was the only big disappointment. It wasn't served flambe as described and was almost too well done to cut with the steak knife supplied and chewy. Good bread & salads. Entrees were 2 ESPADARTE A CHEFE, which was excellent, 1 SEAFOOD PAELLA which was massive and I'm told also excellent. Being allergic to all seafood I opted for the 2-5 OZ FILLET MIGNON COOKED ON THE HOT ROCK STONE it was amzing. You cook it yourself so no complaining if not done right. The filet itself was top-notch piece of meat. The accompanying mmushroom sauce was rich and flavorful. For deserts we tried the Chocolate Lava cake with ice cream and a Portuguese pudding that got rave reviews. The other downside was the coffee, undrinkable even with 2 Splenda and lots of cream. We read about this place and were leary about all the different ethnic offerings. In the 2+ hours we were there, we never saw even one Italian entree come out, maybe next time although there are so many great Italian places like Biaggio's Lanoka Harbor not sure we'd bother. Doesn't look like much from the outside or inside and that goes for the food also! when ordering the waitreds didn't get the order right, never offered bread or dinn rolls had to ask for it, when we did get we got a small piece of bread for one.when the food finally came my lobster was chewy and not fresh! my wife's sword fish was dry and not fresh at all and left most of it.As for the hostess who was annoyed by my asking to lower and change the music station because we were sitting under the speakers, it was music for a 20 year old in a bar.Also other couple there the husband finished his dinner before his wife's dinner even came.
