As a vegan, I was disappointed that they only had one choice on the menu: the haystack-a plant-based burger. Good, tasty choice, but only choice. We had a group of ten, and had called ahead for reservations. We arrived and our table was ready, but the wrong menus were out. No big deal; the change was made. The waitress took our drink orders, and they were served timely. We all ordered off the menu, and surprisingly, a few things were not available. It was a Wednesday for lunch, and a restaurant is already short on some foods? Sandwiches and burgers were only offered with their home (over) fried potato chips unless one was willing to pay $4.99 for a different side. That seemed excessive. I think $2-3.00 would be fairer. As expected with a group, it took a while to get our food. I ordered a Philly Cheese steak sub, and it was pretty good. It could have used a bit more cheese or a sauce. The meat was tender. Others liked what they had also. The place was clean, large, and there is planty of space to get between tables. Our waitress did a very good job of getting our drinks and food to us. Parking seemed to be plentiful too. I believe we will put this on our list for another visit. read more

I'm thrilled to be the 1st to review this privately operated restaurant that is run by three generations of two families and their very close friends. The comradery between everyone is evident and pleasant. They have been opened since August. Atmosphere- This is a contemporary very large space and spotlessly clean. There is a very nice outside porch. This is country club casual dining at its best and open to everyone. Customer Service- It's common to see all three generations there and maybe a fourth as "Buddy" is only two years old. He toddled up to me and gave me a menu! Adult Libations- Full bar and as with all Central FL Country Clubs, expect all the basics but nothing fancy. Food- I was there for a late breakfast and the menu was Classic American all the way with no surprises. I ordered a Ham & Cheese Omelet with Hash Browns & Toast and it was as close to perfect as you could get. It was piping hot and full of savory meat and cheese and the hash browns were well cooked and not greasy. For $6 and change it was an incredible breakfast! These folks are in the ginormous Highlands Ridge development and if you are visiting there or anywhere near, I suggest you give them a try. read more

It was our first time there, the wait was very long for our food, almost 45min to an hr they were pretty busy, but once the food came out it was so good and you get your money's worth. This is a new restaurant so I'm not going to be harsh. I'm all about supporting local businesses and seeing them thrive! The restaurant had a down home feel to it. We were seated pretty quickly and our drink orders were taken. So the cups of coffee were huge and it was difficult to get the half & half , sugar ratio correct. There was a decent variety of breakfast items to choose from and I was pretty excited to try the food but that never happened. Our server did not come back to check on us, EVER. At the hour mark, we paid for our coffee and left. I will say that the food that was served around us looked and smelled amazing! The hostess did offer to check and see if our order was being prepared but we were not prepared to wait any longer. I DO think this restaurant has potential but did not have the staffing for the crowds that were arriving. read more

When we arrived the sign said wait to be seated we had three different servers look our way before someone came over she acted like it was a inconvenience. Service was ok waitress wasn't very pleasant food was mediocre our check was given to us without offering dessert. Must have been a one time fluke but... Long wait well over an hour, went for breakfast waited 15min to be seated, party of 5 understandable, but lots of open or unbused tables. Was seated and waited 15-20min and finally went & asked to be served. Food wait is over an hour and we are still waiting. No one buses tables, 6 dirty tables, at least one of which has started to be bused 6 times and never finished, with no one waiting to be seated at the front. Looks like they have 3 cooks Aside from unbused tables, restaurant is clean. Two hosts just sort of meander about with no real purpose. Heyyy, 1hr 20min we got our food, my order is wrong. I got country breakfast #2 scrambled eggs with cheese (no cheese), ordered sausage and bacon, (got a double order of bacon). 3 people shooting the bull in the kitchen, not working. Obviously bad management. Multiple tables walking out. Pros, clean restaurant, low noise (great for people with hearing aids). Homemade sausage is good, recommend the links. Bacon is cooked well, good portions. Our server was Bridgett and very nice, 10 out of 10 considering she was the only one out of 2 servers working. 3 Gen's has a variety of salads, sandwiches and a homemade soup of the day. I enjoyed my "Birdie" with buffalo sauce, and there were several sides offered (besides the chips that came with it). My server was Kayla, and she is super polite and friendly. I will definitely be back! read more

This is one of those out of the way places the locals don't want you to know about. Large portions of good food at a reasonable price. Even the salad camp in a huge "bowl". More like a plate with tall sides. Out of 10 in our group, 4 or 5 took food home. Only one ordered an additional soup after her order came. We were quite pleased with the spaciousness of the restaurant having once been a dance hall. read more

We have been here several times, gotten different meals each time and have not been disappointed once. Portions are more than we can eat and the service has been excellent. We've been there when they've been full and had guests waiting and when there was just a few guests being served and the wait has been reasonable every time. They are locally owned and make you feel like you're part of the family. read more

This family run restaurant is great! They recently moved from their Avon Park location which was basically hidden to all but the people who lived in that subdivision to Sebring Parkway in north Sebring and I was very pleased with the food, service, prices and location. I had been to the prior location but I will go to the new location a lot more frequently. read more

This restaurant has come a long way since 3 Gen's opened. The portion sizes leave you never going away hungry, the specials of the day are hearty and tasteful, the soups are delicious, the sandwiches and hamburgers are stacked high with deli meat or juicy ground beef cooked to your preference, and the desserts (mostly cakes and cheesecakes) are pretty good IF they don't run short before supper time. Taking this into account, it's the food that keeps me interested in possibly going back for another try. With that being said, I'm giving this review 2 stars for the following reason...every time I've been in there I've been left standing at the counter waiting to be acknowledged and to be seated, even though waitresses are aware of my presence. After being seated I've waited and waited for someone to acknowledge that I'd like to place an order. After placing an order and after the food is delivered I've waited and waited while my food gets cold for something the waitress forgot (tartar sauce, mayo, ketchup, gravy, silverware, napkins...the little, but important things that enhance the meal). And after requesting the forgotten items, dealing with the attitudes of some of the waitresses is just unacceptable. More often than not, I feel like I'm inconveniencing them with my requests to just receive what I ordered. Trying to engage and connect with some of them is met with indifference, like I'm invisible. It almost seems like they hate their jobs in the family business and take it out on the patrons. A smile and a kind word costs nothing and can be easily reciprocated if they'd only choose to do so. In summary, the food really is pretty good, kudos to the chef, but a few of the waitresses ruin the experience with their negativity. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say it's the negative energy that's beginning to compel me to make different restaurant choices when my hunger kicks in. 3 Gen's, please address this with your wait staff. They are a huge contributing factor in the environment and atmosphere in the "front of the house" and are most often the ones on whom the patrons will base first impressions of your restaurant before even taking a bite of your delicious food. Don't let server attitude drive away the very ones who will keep you (and them) in business. read more

First let me say when you done get your food it is generally good. Service can be slow. Takes some time to get your order even when their not busy. The real problem is figuring out when their open. They don't seem to follow their posted hours. Have went many times during the day and they were closed or in our visit Mothers Day had no cook. Party of 14. Service and food was excellent. Home style restaurant with nice variety. Food arrived quickly and everyone served pretty much at same time. Amazing ,is all I can say! Had an event here and the owners and team went above and beyond they made sure everything was perfect ! The food was amazing we definitely did not leave hungry ! You have to try to the chicken dinner and the spaghettI the meat balls where huge. They kept all of our pitchers full ! Thank you 3 gens your service and food made our day wonderful !
