Came here before class started for a nice bowl of albondigas because it was just the weather for it. Can only speak for the albondigas, I haven't tried the rest of the food yet. Albondigas was a hearty rustic soup that hit the spot for me. Flavors were there and a good serving size for the bowl. Did wish the meatballs were a little less dried. Overall good soup and would recommend. Service was excellent.

My family and I checked out 3 Hermanas for lunch today - it was my first time. I was excited to check them out as I am a big fan of Tres Hermanas! We arrived a few minutes after they opened and were greeted and seated immediately. The inside was super clean and I loved the wall decorations and Mexican portraits all over - the murals were beautiful as well. We ordered the Kids Quesadilla with came with rice and beans, a Chile Verde Burrito and the Fish Tacos. To be honest, I thought the rice and fish were bland, but adding salsa to both helped. The Fish Tacos tasted pretty fresh and I liked the crispy pieces, but again, they could have used more salt. My husband also said that the Chile Verde Burrito was just okay. My daughter had 2 servings of their refried beans and enjoyed her Quesadilla. Overall, the food wasn't the greatest, but I would still come back and order something else. I also really like their salsas! Staff were very friendly and attentive! I would definitely come back!

Lots of local artists display their work on the walls and ceiling.

We were warmly welcomed with a party of 7 that included several young kids. The menu offers many delicious classics in tacos, enchiladas, burritos and plates. The kids' menu offers similar fare in smaller portions. The decor of the restaurant is vibrant and features many works by local artists. In fact, we visited in order to see the work displayed of a collective of mosaic artists. There is also a patio that seats several guests, screened from the road by lush plants. Though we didn't partake at lunch, there is an extensive cocktail menu that also looks great! Enjoy your lunch and then stroll the block down to McKinley park to extend your outing!

Friendly service. Amazing decor. Nice and cozy inside. Loved the tacos. More parking in the back or down the street since the lot in front is limited.

Ambiance 4/5 - nice, Mexican culture inspired ambiance. Service 3/5- younger hostess was meh but the woman that supported her was professional and prompt. The bartender had decent customer service too. Food 4/5- the food is consistently good! I wish they had sweet plantains as a side option tho. No complaints.

This place was tasty :) would go again! A little on the pricier side but from what I remember I think it was worth it

Had an amazing dinner with the family here. The service was top notch, sitting in the patio was really nice and all the plants provide some privacy on a busy street. The albóndigas soup was hitting the spot. Broth was really hearty and the meatballs were so good. That's something we have door dashed in the past from here so having it fresh was nice. The first two round of chips and salsa here are complimentary. The chips are airy and light while the salsa is chunky and pretty spicy so go light if you can't handle the heat! I went with the carnitas plate. The meat super juicy and flavorful. I really enjoyed it. I chose flour tortillas over corn. Guac and pic came on the plate so I made little burritos with the tortillas lol. Rice and beans were great too, always an important factor for judging any Mexican restaurant and they passed the test with flying colors! My mom went with the tamale plate and loved what she got, my girlfriend went with the chicken salad and seemed to enjoy that. 3 Hermana's had a neighborhood vibe to it and I can't wait to return again.

Cute cozy Mexican restaraunt in East Sacramento. Parking lot available. Attentive service although our meals seemed to take awhile. The walls were filled with colorful local artists work. We had the Chile Verde burrito which was mighty tasty. The chili Colorado was good but a bit salty. The enchiladas had a yummy complex sauce. They were out of a few beers so there wasn't a big selection. The chips & salsa were good. The beans,a little bland. Prices a bit high. Food overall 4.0

I've heard this place is comparable to Tres Hermanas in midtown, but besides the menu being similar, I do not think it's comparable. The service was good and no wait on a Friday night, however sometimes it's worth the wait. The chips and salsa are just okay. Lack flavor. I ordered the flauta plate with rice and beans and overall it was very bland. There was also potatoes added to the guacamole and flautas and they were undercooked which I was not a fan of at all. The margarita I got also tasted like a mix and was very yellow. Definitely cheaper, better quality Mexican in the area.

Liena was the most friendly attentive server I've had experience with recently anywhere. She made the whole experience here at 3 Hermanas even bettter. The food was great! I got the beef verde enchiladas and the meat was so soft and tasty. My wife's jumbo shrimp fajitas were also amazing. I'd highly recommend coming here. I can't believe this was my first time. Only thing is parking isn't the easiest if it's your first time.

I must admit my first impression wasn't the best. Parking in the front of this restaurant is very limited so I had to park on the street. Parallel parking is a bit of a challenge for me (understatement) but I managed after driving around and around the surrounding neighborhood in search of a spot. Then I saw that there was a good-sized parking lot behind the building with two hour parking. Ah well... I needed the exercise. As I went to the front, my first view of the patio gave me cause to pause as it looked a bit weather worn; as I got closer, though, the smiling faces in the cozy space with green plants hanging about casually made me smile. Once I got inside and looked at the menu for a dish a friend had suggested I try. Then I discovered I was in the wrong restaurant! lol. Yes, 3 Hermanas is different than Tres Hermanas. Anyone ELSE get confused by this?! A friend suggested TRES Hermanas and I went to THREE Hermanas instead. lol. . It had all of the things I usually enjoy. Good food, friendly folks, efficient service and a comfortable ambiance. I had the fish tacos - two grilled tilapia tacos with rice and black beans. Muy bueno! lol. (That's what two years of Spanish gave me...) it Came with a basket of tortilla chips (light, crisp and just salty enough) and house made salsa. I asked for hot sauce and they brought me a wee bowl -- not bottle -- that looked like it was also house made and gave me a warning that it was a bit spicy. Ah... I was a happy diner. As I ate and enjoyed all of the colorful art around me, I heard a couple next to me moaning. I hesitated, but I HAD to look. They were huddled over a large platter obviously enjoying themselves. I think it was shrimp.... Didn't wanna stare. I enjoyed my food QUIETLY and watched a server go back and forth between the kitchen and the front patio while also helping folks inside. Exhausting -- but that guy really kept it together with a smile, despite a few challenging diners. WHY are some people so nasty to food servers?! (I feel a bit better with my mini rant but SERIOUSLY -- BE Nice). Anyways.... Both servers were really hustling. Bless those in service industries! AS I ate and watched the view of the front patio, I must say folks out there looked like they were really enjoying the sun and fresh air. So... my mistake turned out just fine. I wound up having an enjoyable lunch and discovered a new place that I can recommend.

Here's a fun, upbeat review you could post:…read more First time here, and it was for a graduation celebration. Let me tell you--they had me at the salsa. As a self-proclaimed salsa critic, I can confidently say this wasn't the usual watery, flavorless salsa that shows up at so many restaurants. This one actually had flavor AND a kick to it. One bite and I knew I was going to enjoy my meal. Then came the music. Whoever was in charge of the playlist deserves a raise because the 90s R&B was absolutely on point. Every song had me singing along between bites. Nothing like enjoying good food while being serenaded by the soundtrack of my youth. I ordered the asada and al pastor tacos, and both were delicious, flavorful, and cooked just right. I also asked for grilled jalapeños because they make everything better, and they definitely took the tacos to the next level. The service was just as impressive as the food. Our server was attentive, friendly, and gave great recommendations. He made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Great food, great music, great service, and a great way to celebrate a graduation. I'll definitely be back--and honestly, I'd come back for the salsa and playlist alone!

I visited this past Saturday and it was quite busy inside like it always is. The restaurant is large enough to fit a lot of people, so finding a seat isn't an issue. Usually I order 2 tacos with my burrito but I was saving room for Korean bbq that day! The Super Burrito comes with your choice of meat, rice, beans, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. I also ordered a medium pineapple agua fresca, which paired perfectly with my burrito. After ordering, you're handed a number to take to your table so the servers know where to bring your food. As I'm waiting for my food, I helped myself to the self-serve chip bar. The chip bar is my favorite thing about the restaurant besides the food and quick service. I always get loads of both the white and red pickled onions, and some salsa to go with my chips. They offer many sides to choose from so that anyone can customize their meal to their liking. The pickled onions have the perfect level spice and acidity to them which helps with cutting down the greasiness you may get from a burrito. I also like to snack on them for fun too! The food comes out extremely quickly. When I finished placing my order and brought my number to my table, I went to the self-serve bar right after to get some chips. Not even 2-3 minutes later, I came back to my table with my burrito already there! The burrito was absolutely delicious and piping hot.
