A wonderful small town restaurant. Parking is on the street. We had to park a block away but well worth the walk. Everyone working there was pleasant and friendly. The egg paneno was very good. It came with cubed fried potatoes and they were seasoned nicely. The breakfast burrito with Chorizo was very good. The fried chicken sandwich was also very good. The banana pancakes were really good. The bacon was deep smoked and fantastic and the sausage was fresh made and really good too. We were passing through from Stowe going back home to just outside Philly. If we pass this way ever again we're sure to stop in again. read more

I bet this place would be amazing for breakfast, but for lunch and dinner it seems like they're doing the best they can with a small kitchen. They have a few different options for salads and sandwiches; I had the baby arugula salad with apples, hazelnuts, local cheese, and honey-lemon vinaigrette ($11). The portion was huge and the flavors were good! But the atmosphere in here is kind of dingy and awkward. They were offering a taco special that sounded delicious, but unfortunately they had run out of it earlier in the day. I come here all the time and I have not once been dissapointed. The service is great and the food is even better! The Turkey Bacon Swiss panini is one of my favorite items on the menu. The best part about their paninis is that you can order a whole one or half of one depening on how hungry you are. The only bummer for me is how small the building is. It gets very busy very fast, so searing is limited. If it is a nice day then there is outdoor seating with a view of main street and the Vergennes Green. read more

On our way to Burlington, we decided to stop here for a late breakfast. We ordered the Tofu Vegetable Scrambler and the Wild Maine Blueberry Pancakes with a side of home fries. All the prices were pretty reasonable. I got the hot tea and they had a good variety of Tazo flavors to chose from. Our food came out relatively quickly. The white chocolate chips with the blueberries in the pancakes were a good pair. The home fries came out with scallions on top which definetly added more flavor to them. The pesto in the tofu scramble blended very well with the vegetables. Overall, we both were very satisfied with our meals. If you're in Vergennes, definetly stop her for breakfast. read more

Ordered breakfast burrito with scrambled chorizo and home fries. After I paid, I was told they were out of chorizo, but could sub bacon. I didn't really want that but agreed. Then it arrived with no home fries. I asked, and the waitress said they were inside the burrito. I opened up the burrito, and there were no home fries inside. The waitress was very upset when I asked again, saying they must be out of home fries. Fine - but don't sell me a chorizo burrito and home fries if you have neither chorizo nor home fries. The waitress rudely told me if I came back I would get a $4 discount. Then 1 minute later a bowl of home fries was placed on my table. They were clearly upset that I was inquiring about my order. I'm so sorry to have disturbed the waitresses of this overpriced cafe getting what I paid for. read more

A person from our party asked politely for a little more honey for her Greek yogurt and overheard the staff talking in the kitchen about how the yogurt already had plenty and that she shouldn't need more. Matt has created a resturnat that is both yummy and you feel good eating out because so much comes from local farms! The paninis are fantastic and I love that they come with a little side salad. They also are great for breakfast but expect a little wait on the weekends. The specials are always creative but my favorite is a turkey bacon with garlic mayo - you just can't go wrong! Ate at 3 Squares Cafe, in Vergennes, Vermont, last week while visiting my Uncle in Bridport. Wife had an awesome turkey sandwich, I ordered the Boyden Farm Burger with Grafton Village Smoked Cheddar. Bacon and asked for it to be cooked medium well...when it arrived at the table it was bloody about a medium rare...asked to have it done well and started getting looks from the kitchen...then as waiting others from the kitchen came out and were smiling and looking my way. Long story short, decided not to eat it because it felt like it might have secret sauce or other crap in it...worst restaurant experience yet in Vermont...will not recommend this place to anyone else. This is a sandwich shop. A very very good sandwich shop. They make a pretty good breakfast too. There is nothing specifically labeled as organic on the menu, but many of the ingredients they use are organic and/or local. The food tastes great and most entrees come with a simple salad. The service was excellent, however they could have been more attentive on keeping the coffee carafe filled we were unable to get the bolder two of the three brews. Was staying at Basin Harbor for a wedding and decided to venture out to Vergennes. This place served some great food. For breakfast I had an eggs benedict that was really good. The next day we stopped by for lunch and I had a brie sandwich that was great too. In the summer, the temp inside is pretty hot and not a lot of ventilation.
