A better than average Mexican restaurant. * Menu - very extensive with many choices for both carnivore & vegetarian * Service - very friendly, responsive, and timely. They were super helpful when I asked to replace my dressing with the Chipotle sauce from another dish. * Food - pretty decent and fresh. The grilled fish and beef salads were exactly as described on the menu... just sort of deconstructed. The only niggle was the the salad itself was the smallest portion of food. Go figure? * Location & Decor - 2nd floor with a challenging to find front door, which is located on the south side of building. Inside was surprisingly large with many separate sections, which can be closed off if not needed. The decor is festival, colorful and bright. * Parking - very expansive. The have an upper parking lot if you want to avoid climbing the steep stairs. Easy in & out if your going westward. We would definitely visit again on our next drive through Conifer. read more

I can't speak on behalf of the food here because I haven't actually been able to figure out what's vegan on the menu.. which is frustrating, but, what I can tell you is that this place has some really, really tasty margaritas. Literally all of the flavors are good. And the best part is we got to take them to-go. Granted, we just had a drink and chips and salsa, but the bar tenders were exceptionally nice and quick to help if we needed or wanted anything. The salsa is very tasty and the chips are thin and crispy, which is just the way I like my corn chips. I also love the Mountain atmosphere. We live in Indian Hills and have been coming here for four years. We have always loved the place for its friendly service and great food! Tonight was different. The food was sub-par and the waiter couldn't care less about whether we we were happy or not. I have frequented many of the 3 Margaritas restaurants in the area and this is by far the worst. If there was one thing I can say positive is the food is ok, and I do crave their green chili sometimes. Service is definitely hit and miss, with only a couple good servers. That said, I only do takeout. One of the most disappointing things is huge inconsistency with operating hours. Even when you call to verify the hours you can show up and they will be closed. Been coming here for years and sadly, it's gradually gone down . The place feels like a McDonald's whether you come if it's busy or slow. No matter how many different servers we get, it always feels like we're being rushed. It's sad because there aren't many places in the area and we like to dine out without having to travel far from home. Being from Texas and knowing good Mexican there and good New Mexican influenced Mexican here, I'm just a little confused at how this place can get 4 stars on Yelp. If you want sub-par Mexican food that's up to the standards of Casa Bonita, go here. If you want good Mexican in the mountains, you may be looking a while, but a quick jaunt to Denver is probably well worth the drive. This place is the best thing to happen to Conifer since...ever. It's by far the best restaurant we have in this town. I've lived here on and off for 15 years and always found the restaurant options to be sad and lacking. 3 Margaritas has totally changed that. The service is impeccable. Every single person in that place, from the busboy to the bartender will greet you, take great care of you, and thank you on your way out. As someone who has worked in restaurants and other customer service positions, I can confidently say that the people who work here really define what good service should be. The food is great as well. The tortilla soup is the best I've ever had in my life. I get it every single time I go, and sometimes I stop by for a quick lunch and get JUST the soup. It's that good. My other favorite menu item is the Ensalata Tapatia, with carne asada, cheese, pinto beans, veggies, and a great vinaigarette dressing, it's not the kind of salad that leaves you hungry! They have some great traditional Mexican foods as well as the Tex Mex we're all accustomed to. This is my family's favorite restaurant in Conifer and we're so glad to have it here! read more

Tonight the last straw broke the camel's back! This restaurant is convenient as it is close to my home. Many times I have been disgruntled about primarily two things: The woman manager and the quality of the food. The food has never been more than passable in most categories, appetizers, main causes, specials and especially seafood and chicken. Chicken is always overcooked, no matter what you tell the waiting staff and which chicken dish I order. The sea food is tasteless and, again, overcooked. But it isn't really terrible, so I have put up with it because there are compensations, the waiting staff. The ladies who serve me are hard-working, attentive, charming and they \bring what I order and get it most of the time. I love them all. But the big problem is the woman manager. I would have called her lady manager but just couldn't bring my self to do that because she may be a lot of things but she is neither a lady nor is she a manger. She is a bully. I have tangled with her numerous times and always hope that she won't be there on the evening I plan to go. Today she was there and her behavior - remember I am one of this restaurant's oldest and most loyal customers - she was over the top. It had to do with a booth she refused to give my wife and me, out of pure nastiness. She has this urge to be unfriendly (on her good days) and outright rude on most others. I have been in that very booth and several other ones ALONE numerous times. Tonight there were couples (2) and one or two groups of 3 and one of four. She told my wife and my that she would NOT approve an available booth - there were no other people waiting behind us - because "the booth is for four to six people, not two". This bold lie was thrown into our faces as other couples of two were in plain view to everyone. IF THE HOME OFFICE HAD LOOKED FOR A "MANAGER" TO RUN THIS ESTABLISHMENT INTO THE GROUND IN THE SHORTEST POSSIBLE TIME it could not have done any better. Others have complained over this person over the years yet there she still is. Corporate management obviously doesn't bother to read Yelp or doesn't care what the customers think. read more

We avoided this place since it is a chain (albeit a small chain). This was a mistake. The service is over the top compared to anyplace in the mtns and most places in Denver. You get bottomless chips & salsa. One time we had a fish dish that didn't seem to taste right. I did not like the food at all. I ordered some kinda burrito special that the server had recommended and was very disappointed. You couldn't taste anything but the sour and tartness of whatever salsa they had on there and there was no distinct flavor to the meat. I didn't know you could actually fail at making Mexican food. He greeted us promptly, took our order when we were ready, and our food arrived before we could even finish our first basket of chips.
