ZERO FCKING STARS My friends and I went for a birthday dinner. Two of us arrived first and we ordered drinks it literally took over 20 minutes to get the first round, and 20 minutes for the second (you can guess how long the third one took). HORRIBLE SERVICE. We told the "manager" that we were still waiting on rounds so she went to check. When our server came back we told her it was my friends birthday and she said happy birthday blah blah blah and she said that HER MANAGER THOUGHT WE WERE UNDERAGED and was keeping an eye on us. WHAT THE ACTUAL FCK!?!?!?!?? When our friends arrived they ordered food and everything seemed to go well. We were waiting for them to finish eating so we could get out of that place. I've had the pleasure of "dancing & dining" at 3 Vino's.... Thursdays tend to be my "regular" night and it was fun dressing up and mingling with the locals. Nightclub : Reasonable drinks at decent prices. But if you "know" someone the drinks can be curiously strong and "sexy sized" Lighting and decor is nice, with some neon, wood flooring and water fountains. And I love the floor to ceiling windows for the patio area which is easily part of downtown West Covina's foot traffic. Dining: Peruvian/Cuban Influenced Dishes Every food dish I have had a 3V has been amazing. If you decide to go, I must say make the All You Can Eat Buffet Lunch/Brunch part of your "to-do-list" There's an incredible selection, with full of flavor. I love their soup, and their strawberry, candied walnut w/bleu cheese salad with an amazing vinegarette dressing. My friend and I have become quite the fan of the "creamy chicken & mushroom" entree.... it's buttery, its shroomy, it's sinful w/moist chicken breasts bites throughout. I would be content with the soup and salad alone at 3 Vino's. It's always a great perk, when I can easily take a cab to this venue, and know that I don't have to travel to LA or Hollywood for a good time. Plenty of free parking...but do beware that Covina police station is not too far... and that's either a good or bad thing. Come out of there as a sloppy hot mess and they WILL find you. Just Sayin. January 3, 2015 Finally! If it weren't for the fella to ask to come here for sangrias, I would have this place bookmarked for a long one until who knows when. Since he has been here before, he knows what is good. I've been wanting to check this place out since I've known the "other guy" -__-. Anyway, the fella ordered us the sangria (massive fish-bowl-like) for the two of us. Wasn't planning on drinking, but did. It was a night worth celebrating. Last days of freedom before work and school begins again. We ordered from the starters menu because we were planning on going to LA for more food [cuz be be fatz]. We ordered the wings and the calamari frito. I love the calamari frito because of how soft and tender it was. I haven't had calamari that soft and so tender anywhere before, so I'm curious on how they made it possible. At night, by 10:15pm, they take the tables away and prepare the dance floor for those dancers to come in and hang at the bar. Thus not my scene, so after we ate, we left before it gets busy. Overall, enjoyed the sangria very much and the calamari. Never been a fan of the wings, so I leave with at "okay". I leave you with: "When a door closes, another door DOES truly open." Warning if you are white avoid this place, security under advice of management made up lies to kick me out and they made lies about another white gentleman the same night. When i challenged them on the proof they let me stay but at that point I felt targeted and left because I knew it was unsafe to stay. I have traveled the country on business and never experienced such disgusting racist behavior staff. I really feel this place is racist. We had a large group. They over charged me and when I pointed it out, they made an excuse but in other restaurants the server who overcharged would be reprimanded or fired for excessive errors. Then I spoke with another couple that I did not know and they said they were overcharged as well. I actually liked this place when I first arrived but by the end of the night, I changed my mind. I will not be back and recommend that you stay away from here as well. There are other places to go. I should have read the reviews before going as I see that is how they do business. Negative stars for security and safety for the women. A man was harassing me at the bar and then stole my phone when I wasn't looking and when I saw it in his pocket I took it out of his pocket before he got mad and pushed me to the ground and security didn't do anything. 3 Vino's is a nice little bar in downtown Covina. We went there for Bachata and salsa dancing. The bar is well appointed with white leather couches and plenty of space for dancing. There was only one bartender on a Monday night, so service was a little slow. Overall, though, it's a fun place to go Latin dancing on a Monday night. read more

I dont know what is going on with this place but it has gone from a fun spot to who knows what kind of service we will get? This review is for the club. First off, their dress code keeps changing and the bouncer is kind of arrogant. He acts like he really has a power trip and it's very stupid. Grow up. 2nd is their ever changing dress code! The dress code seems to only be directed to the guys that go because once inside, the guys are dressed accordingly (the ones who got in) and the girls are in chucks. Kind of off balance if you ask me. Either way, what is listed online is not consistent with the little sign they have at the door. No plaid/flannel shirts, no non-collard shirts, and I dont even know what else, the list went on. 3rd, bathrooms are a mess! I've had parties here, bottle service, attended other groups and it was always fun, no drama. But the drive for me and my husband to possibly be turned away because he isn't wearing the right shade of black is is not worth the drive or hundreds spent on this place. Bouncer in the front was disrespectful, rude and yes he DISCRIMINATES, so please dont waste your precious time. Jan, 25 2019 we made reservations to celebrate my husbands bday. We had dinner & later that night the rest of our party arrived. So here it goes- Bouncer refused to allow his friends in due to "dress code". They were dressed according to the requirements online. (attached photo). When they got to the door they had a different dress code list which didn't match to the one online. Very strange. Bouncer stated they must wear a "collared shirt" clearly it doesn't say it on their website. They were dressed in upscale attire. When my husband asked to speak with management, bouncer said, I'm the one who makes the rules managment is not here (Lie). He was horrible. His friends decided to leave, so we cancelled bottle service. Later that night my husband spoke with management. This man tells my husband he rather not deal with customers who work in law enforcement. More was said but I will not get into detail since I wasn't there to hear everything. But WOW. Who says that?! discrimination at it's finest. After talking with managment he then offers to buy us drinks for all the trouble. Seriously!! No thank you, we dont want your free drinks. We just asked for our guest to be treated fairly. That simple. Your establishment is so unprofessional we have NEVER encountered this kind of treatment. Eventually 3Vinos will go downhill if this continues. We will not be coming back, and will be sure to share our experience with many others. read more

Went here for Cinco de Mayo, which was on a Friday this year. The night started out a little rough as when we checked in for our 9pm dinner reservation for 6, we were asked if our entire party was present, which it wasn't... but there were three of us and the other three were parking so it'd only be momentarily. We were then told that we only had until 9:15pm (15 minutes) to order as the kitchen closed at 9:30pm. We asked if we could be seated so we could look at the menu and start ordering, but the waitress had to check with the manager. By the time she came back our entire party was there and she had to go back... cause she only had them set up for party of four since there were only three of us present at the time. This was very frusterating... partly our fault cause our full party wasn't present, but we certainly didn't know we only had 15 minutes to order. We were seated, ordered our food... the 9:15pm cut off was completely forgotten. All of the food was delicious, although our waiter did lack in service... it was a very busy night though. Once finished we went to our reserved VIP bottle service area, which was nice. Nut again the waitress servicing us only came by twice the entire night... we tipped her well in the beginning, and asked her to come by frequently cause we wanted to order additional drinks other than just our bottles... but this didn't make a difference. The lines for the bar were super long. Nut the dj was pretty good and the place had a decent vibe. The food was so good that I'd give this place a second shot for dinner, but probably not for the club portion. read more

Saturday evening, past 10:30 PM until closing. Review is based strictly on the "club" aspect. The Good: - Free parking on the streets, that's if you can find one... - NO cover!?!?! Doesn't get any better than that, IMO - Well-dressed crowd. I read some reviews about the dress code. Honestly folks, if it's a weekend, doesn't matter where you go, but obviously if you're going to an adults scene, Just. Dress. Up. Guys, that means collared shirts at the least regardless of who they let in or not. I even saw some in jackets/coats, and it was nice to see the men in that. Ladies, well - you already know. Crowd - mostly 30's and 40's, with a few sprinkles of 50s and over. Hey, no discrimination... If you like the music and the vibe, just come, even if you're 99 years old, :-) lol Music - DJ (and band? oh my, can't recall for sure...) Mostly top 40s, reggaeton, a little hip hop, some 80s/90s jams, cumbia, merengue. Overall - the fact that there's no cover and free parking... I am sold! read more

Considering the reviews, I was a bit wary about going to this place. However, despite everything written about this place (all true), the restaurant is actually pretty good. Yes, it becomes a meat market. Yes, it must be the only night spot left in Covina that doesn't end in Friday's. And yes, it has it's share of slightly older, slightly enhanced cougars- but every animal has to hit the watering hole if they want to play right? Like I said, the restaurant surprised me. The menu is full of Cuban, Argentinian, and even Peruvian favorites. I ordered a simple Cuban roast chicken and was more than satisfied. We ate with a large party and everybody seemed happy with their order. The portions were all large which is always a plus in my book. The service was friendly, but slow. However, it was Saturday night and the place was full of very large parties. Before 10pm there was a live salsa band, which was nice. After 10pm the Dj takes over and this spot turns into what must be the only club within miles. There is just no way that place satisfied any fire code. I guess you have to be completely hammered or high to enjoy being stuffed into a room with hundreds of people with no room to do anything, let alone socialize, dance or drink. If you were able to get to the bar, you had to wait in 4 deep lines, which is discouraging. I'm sure the owner is not complaining though. He must be raking it in. 3 Vino's does not attempt to be anything it's not and it doesn't apologize for what it is- the one club in a city deprived of clubs, that happens to serve a decent meal. read more

I had the most amazing time celebrating my 50th Birthday here last night...although i have been a longtime dancer here on latin nights, this is the first time i have made reservations for family and friends. The staff was awsome, the food was so delicious and the band "son oeste" as usual played besutifully. They sang my favorite songs and i flowed on the dance floor. I will always be a loyal 3 vinos dancer but now i will be celebrating all my special occasions here..thank you 3v. For amazing service. read more

Mixed feelings about this place. Great local and drinks are nice. I've heard the salsa in the early part of the night is great. But to me the music after is not that great. If they tweaked the music this place would be fire! Has great potential. Not sure if anyone still enjoys dancing to Michael Jackson? The good: Easy and free parking, Friendly staff, $5 well drinks, Nice Decor, Live Salsa Band on Saturdays before 11pm, No cover The bad: The crowd can be rough around the edges, lots of fat drunk girls and guys looking to score (especially around closing time when they are REALLY looking to score and grab you when you walk by). The DJ spins a lot of House which I am not a fan of, he only spun Hip Hop after 1am. Oh and as a bonus, some girl actually did a number two (yes, number two) in the club when I was there because she was so drunk. Pretty classy! read more

So tired of listening to EDM everywhere I go, and here I can shake my goods to the classics and practice my Latin dancing all night long to a great DJ. This place have free salsa dance clases and some others styles during the week, live music and they have inexpensive drinks, no cover and the places look nice. The teacher was excellent and I'm so happy that I was really dancing salsa it was my first time taking clases. I highly recommend it read more

I've been coming Tres Vinos for over five years now. Never tried their food, not a fan of the band, but we go for the DJ. Every single time I've went there was a bathroom attendant... the same sweet lady who's been there since I first started going. Last Friday she wasn't there and i made the mistake of hanging my leather jacket in the hooks in the bathroom. My lady usually keeps an eye on my coats. Unfortunately my jacket was stolen. I wouldn't leave until the club emptied just to make sure no one turned it into the staff. I am so disappointed in Tres for not providing a Coat Rack or Coat Check. For an upscale establishment with classy customers that is a must! From now on my coats stay in the car. read more

The review is for night time dancing not the food first of all there is no cover so I like that and the music pretty good house, hip hop, new stuff and the kind of stuff they don't play out in the Hollywood clubs like freestyle.They have many screens playing videos of the songs and the crowd is pretty mixed old and young but mostly old I'm 33 and the first thing I noticed was how old the crowd was 35+ it looks like. Maria is right it looks like the peppers crowd. that would put them at around 39- 40 years old crowd to give you an idea. They sell tacos outdoors and the price of the food flashes on the screens as you dance and if someone opens the door the smell of taco rushes in to the dance floor. Overall it's a cool place to hang out if you feel like dancing especially since the price is just right. Free! but it's not a laid back type of place it's really crowded had a hard time getting to the restroom making my way through the crowd. read more
