A lot can change in three years... I came here this past weekend with a friend. She called 5 times (before 7pm) because we wanted to know their entertainment options for that night (DJ, lotería, live band, etc). Their website was down via Safari and via Yelp. Wasn't able to get through via phone. We pull up anyways and the normal front entrance is closed. You have to enter AND exit through the side door. We go inside and we assume it's open seating. Flashing lights, open tables (not too crowded around 8pm/9pm. So we take a seat and the server comes. What threw me off guard is when we ordered our first round of drinks they charged us right then and there and explained that "tonight is pay as you go". While at the table, we get our drinks, pay, and take in the ambiance. The drinks were good they weren't bad. However, the music was TOO loud. Me and my friend just looked at each other the entire time and smile and nodded because there was no way a conversation was able to happen. BUT the music selection was 11/10. Dance floor was full and people were getting down! DJ was killing it so the music being loud is NOT a problem, it's just something to be aware of if you come here on a Friday night (entertainment varies). Bathrooms were clean, servers table touched very often. The server did let us know that they were changing for bottled water. $4 for bottled water. The servers were nice enough to give ME a complimentary cup of water...but nothing for my friend. Which I thought was weird. But okay...I don't want the servers getting in trouble for something minor like this. What sent it ALL downhill was the food. My friend ordered the carne asada tacos and I ordered the birria tacos with potatoes on the side. My friend said her tacos were burnt. My tacos had a chemical/medicine taste (please don't ask why thats the best way to describe it). The potatoes were what was left sitting at the bottom of the pan/fryer because they were cold and drenched in oil. The food was so bad I couldn't even force myself to eat it. And that was my first real meal of the day. This place is not what it used to be.

We are Led Heads and when my friend heard that the tribute band Led Zep Headz were playing on a Sunday night we all jumped in the van and drove out here. The entrance to see the band was 10 bucks and they have many tables and chairs available if you don't want to stand. We bought three rounds of beers in a bucket. The band sounded great and we had a great time.

Mother's Day was wonderful at the Temple Bar. Everyone had a great time, myself included!! We enjoyed singing along with Abel's songs. He's a great entertainer & works the crowd extremely well. The service was very good. All waitresses were very friendly & attentive. The variety of food was excellent. Everything I tried was full so good & full of flavor. This was a very memorable experience for all of us. Thank you!! #TempleBar

I had been wanting to drop by this place for awhile, so now I had a good reason when I saw an ad for the Cold Duck Band performing on a Saturday night. There was a cover charge of $10 as you entered. The hostess accepts payment in cash or credit card. She then escorted us to a table. We ordered beers from the Server. The employees came by frequency to check on us and food/drinks were served within 10 - 15 minutes. The restaurant/bar has a "Dia de los Muertos" theme with skull decor and lots of neon signs and lights. It's bright and a casual environment. The band had already started playing music of the 80s and 90s era and lots of people were dancing. It was a lively group and good vibe. A DJ kept the music going when the band took a break. MENU HIGHLIGHTS: Sunday Brunch $29.99 per person. -Tacos (Carne Asada, Chicken, Beef, Al Pasto, Birria). -Sandwiches (Crispy Chicken, Sirloin Sliders, Philly Cheesesteak). -Seafood (Shrimp Cocktail, Tempura Shrimp Roll with Hot Cheetos, Agua Chile Shrimp Roll, Seafood Tostada). -- Sides: Chips, Salsa, Guacamole, Loaded Nachos or Fries, Beans, Fried Rice. The dining room has booths for about six people and individual tables that can be configured for two to ten guests. On the right-hand side of the room is the cocktail bar with bar stools for about 30 people. Sincerely, Rosemary

Daniella was a wonderful server especially on Mother's Day. Had wonderful music and food as well.

    unprofessional business chat response

I've passed by here with friends a couple times. The vibes seem fun and I thought I'd request to see if they could book a LA DJ I really enjoyed to come play. I DM'd the business page on Instagram and got this rude response (seen in pic). The lack of professionalism makes me no longer feel welcome as a patron. Following on Instagram does not equate being a patron at an establishment. If they wanted to increase their following and brand media presence, this is not how PR should do so.

I threw my daughter's graduation party here the food was great. The place was great Willy. The bartender is excellent fabulous place to have dinner and drink drinks.

Had an event not far from this place and so my wife and I decided to go to a local Happy Hour. While there were a lot of places close by I found this place on Yelp and wanted to try something new. It was early [5-7 PM] there were not a lot of people here. They had some live music coming in around 7:30 PM but we would be long gone; again, we were in the area for another event. The place is decorated very nicely. It has a cool vibe and we sat at the bar. They have some great beer specials and my wife like the Cab but really really enjoyed the Sangria. The bartender was very friendly, we had a great conversation. We also ordered some food, the birria tacos were amazing. The spring rolls are all veggies, or so it seemed like that to us. But they do sprinkle some beef and chicken on top. My wife said next time we are going to order the nachos and the birria tacos and put the birria on top of the nachos. Brilliant :)

The brisket is so tender and very ample, but it's not fatty, it's very lean. The pickled veggies add that nice crunch and balances out the flavors of the meat and light mayo. The cilantro and greens are classic Viet additions and greatly appreciated! Add some pickled jalapenos and that bite is just HEAVENLY! 10/10 (note: the beef consume was just ok haha it was nice to have on the side but I didn't like the dip like I normally do with things like birria tacos) THE FRIES! I love these fries! I asked for light seasoning and it was PERFECT. The crisp was perfection (lightly battered) and the inside was still nice and soft. I love me a good side of fries, this was a pleasant surprise! Now the Santa Ana pho was good, but I don't think I'd order it again. The flavors weren't unique enough for me to justify the hefty price tag. They were generous with the meat, but for nearly $30 after tax/tip, that's a bit too much for me. If you're a light eater, this could feed 2 people!! I would order a different pho next time though as the broth was pretty clean (didn't taste too salty) and they do offer extra noodles for free! Overall, I definitely plan to come back! Come check out this place and MAKE SURE to get the brisket sandwich!! Parking was great and it's inside the Glendora Public Market so there are plenty of options for your fam and friends. Seating was ample, space was modern, it was a great Sunday hang. Note: as with most food halls, it's self service for most things. Bus your own tray and I recommend bringing your own water or grab a drink at one of these places!

I ordered the Tai Lan, which is a fun cross between phở and a noodle salad. Sliced tender ribeye sits over garlic oil phở noodles on a bed of greens and fresh herbs, tossed with a shallot tamarind sauce, topped with crispy garlic, and served with a side of their 24-hour bone broth to sip or pour over. The ribeye was genuinely tender, the tamarind sauce had a nice tangy-sweet kick, and the crispy garlic tied it all together. Added some sriracha for a little more flavor and to give it a kick. Best phở I've ever had? No. But it's a clever modern take and I left very full and very happy, which is exactly what I needed. And if phở isn't your thing, the menu sprawls into wagyu phở, garlic noodles with filet, lomo saltado, sandwiches (which look amazing) and even Vietnamese coffee with sea salt foam. Plenty to explore. This is now the first spot I'd send anyone to in the Glendora Public Market, and a real step up from the ramen place that used to be in the same space. Already plotting my return.

Eduardo the owner is ALWAYS very attentive and full of joy to serve us. He checks on us to make sure everything is ok with our orders. Kiren the other owner has been awesome too, since our first visit. She was concerned my daughter wasn't eating. Also, always checking in on us. She remembered us the second time we came and asked if my daughter if she was doing better because the first time we were there she had morning sickness so she couldn't enjoy her food. I love finding hidden GEMS, especially Mexican restaurants, with real Mexican food!! What can I say ?! We love it ! Five times here. No regrets. Always good. Food is delicious! Service is AWESOME! Always so friendly, warm, & helpful since the first time we found them. . :D Can't believe it took me so long to find this hidden gem living nearby and around here all the time. How did I find it ?? Well, how do I, and we all, find all my / our favorite restaurants? I Yelped of course !!! :D I was in the area looking for a good place to eat. I yelped Mexican food and TA DA ! I would have never found it, since it's sort of hidden in an area less traveled, in the shopping center across from the West Covina Mall, behind sushiholics & The Bundt place. Same center where Panera is & Sushiholics, except it's on the back side street, on California Ave. I would have never walked over there, on the backside of the shopping center. Just happy to have found it now! Besides GREAT SERVICE, GREAT FOOD ! We are suckers for birria. So 1st time here we had birria chilaquiles with over medium eggs plate, quesabirria, and ramen birria hehe ! YUMMM Yes, it was good, a little spicy for me, but good. I always have to clarify how I want my eggs at restaurants because believe it or not some cooks don't understand that over medium means soft yolks. They sometimes bring me over hard and that's not what I ordered. Over medium eggs have to be just right! No runny whites and no hard yolk. I explained that to Eduardo when ordering because I didn't want hard or soft; runny & gooey whites ewww. So I'm always very specific. Eduardo said no problem, if we don't get them right we can remake them for you. :D Woohooo ! They were perfect! Not many places get it right the first time, so they always remake them, but not here ! PERFECTION !! Thank you Eduardo!! I was happy ! Can't forget about the coffee!!! Oooh coffee! We love coffee so when the owner told us iced coffee ! Whoa ! Our eyes lit up ! YESSSSS please! It was good as well and when she saw we had finished it, she offered us a free refill. Thank you my new friend! You're the best !!! You made our day !!! We were like we're coming back !!! 2nd time, I had bulgogi breakfast bowl with over medium eggs ! I love eggs with beef ! Who doesn't ?! lol Eggs were perfect ! Beef was perfect too ! My grandson ate all my bulgogi though lol! I guess he liked it too. 3rd time on Friday 7/25/25 Eduardo always very cheerful & welcoming :) I ordered the chicken salad lunch, daughter ordered the green pozole! She's a sucker for green pozole hehe. I loved my salad! It was perfect! The chicken was perfect, pulled pieces with a green dressing that was whoa soooo YUMMMM ! This is making me hungry now. Daughter said pozole was good too Of course we will be back !! Need to try to yellow curry ! Next couple times had to order some previously had dishes like Birria ramen, tacos, pozole and chicken salad. Eduardo also accommodated my grandson, as he loves chicken but we get him grilled chicken. So he made a kids version of the chicken salad and it was just perfect and delicious too. PS good spot for kids too. They have a Foosball table ! So when they get antsy, they can go play! Kids love it and play every time. Great thinking! Thank you for this addition to your restaurant ! It's a plus for us with little ones because it helps with their impatience. This is GOLD !! Thank you Eduardo and Kiren ! We will be back next time we're looking for yummy Mexican food or are nearby. Have you tried ? Let me know if you stop by. I'd love to know what was your favorite dish. Happy eating & happy Yelping ! SYOY or IG ;) PS Support small family owned pro American businesses. I finally went, and I'm honestly a little disappointed. The first red flag was realizing we weren't even offered that special. We ordered straight off the regular menu without anyone mentioning it, which made me question why it's promoted so heavily outside. Our waitress was very kind, but the drinks were almost undrinkable. I'm really trying not to be harsh, but I don't know what happened with them because they tasted off in a way that made me feel like it wasn't worth the money. I ordered enchiladas and flautas and they were just okay, nothing bad but nothing memorable. What really got to me was how cold everything felt, especially the beans. Cold beans in a dine-in restaurant just don't make sense. Nothing on the plate was hot enough to feel freshly made. While we were eating I also noticed the restaurant had this strong dirty mop smell, almost like a towel that's been sitting too long. It was hard to ignore and it affected the whole experience. From my seat I could even see some seasonings and part of the kitchen through a curtain and it made me uncomfortable because it didn't feel very controlled or clean. I went to check the restroom and that honestly confirmed it. It wasn't clean at all, which confused me because the place wasn't busy. If it's slow, cleanliness should be the easiest thing to keep up with. I tried to distract myself by playing foosball, which I thought was a cute touch, but the table was broken too. It's little things like that that add up and make the visit feel careless, especially for a business you want to support. I will say the owner or chef came out to check on guests, which was very courteous and genuinely appreciated. That effort is the main reason I'm giving three stars instead of less. I really wanted to like this place, but based on what I experienced I don't think I'll be back.
