NEW COMERS BEWARE! My sister and I to take our clothes to dry at a laundromat because our apartment dryer wasn't working. The Asian lady who works there looked us up and down and started bombarding us with absurd questions. Questions like "why are you bringing dirty clothes to dry here." ... um excuse me? Then stated when could not continue drying our clothes to go else where because if we aren't washing then we are wasting electricity and this is not how she can make money. I was in absolute shock being treated with such poor customer service and disrespect. I regretted giving a penny to this business. We ended up going to Supreme clean in Culver City and it was wonderful. I suggested people go there instead of this awful place. read more

So glad that the owner had a talk with the staff and sorted out the issues that I had mentioned before. I've been there at least a few times since my last review and it was actually pretty pleasant. Also noticed that there were more carts. Which makes everything so much easier and people can do their laundry more comfortably. There are a few things that could use some work. For starters, hot water is hardly ever available. And I think it's quite unfair to pay more for semi warm water when I need and choose hot for a reason. I use it when washing whites, sheets and kitchen towels. It's really for sanitation purposes. Then there's a lot of machines with missing labels on the button for you to choose your preferred settings. And many machines are different so you can't just go by the ones that have their labels. They went from 25 cents for 12 minutes of drying , to 9 minutes, to a whole 6 minutes. It's getting quite expertise. And last, what makes no sense to me is how a machine that can wash up to six loads, be limited to 25-28 minutes for a full cycle. And that's when paying extra for a heavy cycle. None of this is the staffs fault or responsibility to fix. And I hope the owner is aware of this and can work some more on getting this place back to what it always was. read more

I've been coming to this laundromat because of the convenient location for almost 10 years, and it used to be great but has really gone down hill since the ownership change. For starters, not only do they constantly increase the prices, but if you're not careful one of the people working there will charge you for an EXTRA 3 POUNDS OF CLOTHES because they do not tare the weight of the 3 pound basket already on the scale!!' This is a blatant scam and she will do it until you call her out on it then play dumb. I don't think it's her fault however, it feels like she's been instructed by ownership to pull this scam - because listen to this: They have also started charging extra for same day pickup as opposed to next day - however they are rarely busy enough to not get the laundry done same day, so it is often ready the same day anyway. I understand this from a business perspective, but what really perplexed me is what happened recently... I live right next door to the laundromat so popping over to see if my fluff and fold is ready towards the end of the night is convenient for me, and often times it is packed up and ready to go. Recently, when I went to check on the status of my fluff and fold, sure enough it was ready behind the counter. However when I requested to take it, the woman looked up my charge and said that I hadn't paid for same day service so she couldn't give me my clothes. SHE WAS HOLDING MY CLOTHES HOSTAGE DESPITE BEING READY??! I don't often get combative about small things like this, however I pressed her to give me my clothes until eventually she said she had to CALL THE OWNER to ask if she could give me MY CLOTHES. Honestly f***ing ridiculous. Lastly, and this seems to be happening more frequently lately, but every time I get my clothes back there are inexplicable grease stains that force me to throw away 2-3 items at least every week. I don't know whether it's because they don't clean and maintain their machines properly or are folding dirty tables, but it's become a real nuisance. The only reason for the 2 stars is that Melissa is a fantastic employee and she always makes sure I'm taken care of. She seriously works her butt off every day and my clothes always come back perfectly folded and spotless when she's there. I spend about $400 a month on laundry here and always tip the ladies generously, so after all these years of going to 310 it's a shame that ownership has turned it into what it is. Needless to say I've taken my business down the street to BIg Waves until they can hopefully turn things around at this establishment. read more

I have been a regular customer for many years when the laundry was owned and ran by the family. However, since they sold, the laundromat is not pleasant. I come here on the weekends early morning, and there's always a man who uses the laundromat as his drinking beer spot. He is rude to customers and takes up space since he is not doing laundry. This was my number one spot years ago but it has gone terribly downhill. The washing machines are old and in need of maintenance. The office never has change for patrons to break a bill so you have to come ready with $20 or smaller bills. When all the dryers are taken and people leave their stuff in there, nobody takes the clothes out so good luck coming in a busy day and bring in such situation. Other laundromats take clothes out to free dryers for people waiting. The dryers keep going up in price every time I've come back and that's a trend I've noticed on different laundromats due to high energy costs -- understandable to some point. I come back to this location when others are packed in the area. Not my first choice anymore. read more

I have come here several times to dry my clothes (sometimes wash too) with no issues. I was stopped by one of the staff today (blonde hair lady) that told me I can't use the dryer without using the washer. I would have to put in $6 for washer and $5 to dry, which means min. Of $11 must be spent. Otherwise the dryer can't be used. So I won't be back, going to another laundromat. read more

Went here because my dryer broke and I had a couple wet loads of laundry to dry. They refused to let me use the dryers because they have a policy that you have to use their washers first. I went two blocks down the street to Big Waves Laundromat instead where they're happy to take my money. read more

Went in to do my laundry and had plenty of options here. The washers range from large to smaller sizes. The prices of wash are ranging from (4.75 - 2.25 - 1.25) and the massive dryers which are 25 cents. Pretty quick here and effective wash/dry. I was in and out in 40 min. Not bad at all! read more

Been coming here for years and know they have a new owner since a couple years ago. This new owner has taken a while to make upgrades to the place over that time, but today was chaos in here. They're doing a big remodel and there's dust all over the machines and the counters where we fold clean clothes. There's still only one person running this place. If you know you're going to have all this dust and storage in open spaces, why not hire someone to keep it clean during the remodel. Additionally, there's a group of what I believe are hotel workers in here washing and drying so many sheets and other hotel laundry that they're hogging so many dryers, counter space, and laundry carts. Why is the employee allowing them to take up so much space and resources and not keeping in mind all the other people who need to do laundry. Unacceptable! I'll be looking for a new place for now. $1.50 for the smaller washers $1.75 for the bigger front load washers 25cents for 10mins for the dryers $1/lb for the fluff and fold service I just moved to this area so I haven't been to a LOT of laundromats, but so far this place is one of the cleanest ones around. It is also pretty spacious and the machines are pretty new. My boyfriend and I were doing laundry here one night (it is pretty empty around 5pm on weekdays) and the quarters got eaten by one of the machines and got stuck. We told the lady working here and she took time to help us. She got our machine working again, gave us our quarters back and even gave us a few extra ones. There's a mini mart right next to it that sells detergent and clothes softener in smaller bottles if I ever forget washing supplies. Plus a Mexican restaurant and bakery if I ever get famished while doing laundry. Lol Im definitely coming back here next time I can't do laundry at home. read more

Prices for the huge washers are a little higher than I'm used to (washing my dogs' beds and blankets) but my experience here has been alright. No screaming kids, place isn't dirty, mild-mannered customers here who mind their own business but are very polite and tidy, etc. Dryers are huge and only $0.25 per 10-15 mins after the $3.75 investment (that's not such a bad deal) so for 5 loads I spent about $20. I'll take some pics and post them. I put 2 bucks into the Coke machine because I wanted a Coke Zero while I waited for my laundry. The machine is broken, but it doesn't have an out of order sign. After a little talk, the woman running this place finally gave me a refund. I'll cut her some slack because her English isn't great and I'll chalk her attitude up to that, she was very nice after our talk and also apologized. She told me her son was going to come fix the machine after 2pm, I told her she should put a sign on the machine to warn other customers, which she just did. Had a good experience overall. read more

I wish I could give ZERO stars. I never leave reviews like this because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but today the woman who owns this laundromat went too far. History: I have been using this laundromat on an off for the last 6-7 years for fluff and fold/cleaning over sized items. Over the last 6-8 months, (approx every 2-3 weeks to have over sized blankets washed) the woman who appears to be the owner here is ruder and tried to inflate the price each visit for the same items. Today: I brought in my queen size, synthetic filled blanket for cleaning. Each time I bring it in, she tries to say it is a king size down comforter (the price she quotes for the same blanket each time is $14-16 dollars) in order to increase the price and each time I show her the tag which says queen size synthetic (this ranges from $11-16 somehow). Today she literally started yelling at me that I am the only customer who even comments on the price when I drop off an item. I said, i'm not trying to be rude, I just don't understand why the price changes for the cleaning the same blanket which is not even especially dirty each time? And why when her other workers are there do they also quote different prices? And why should I not say anything just because others don't? This goes back and forth until I finally say, ok fine today I'll just pay the $14. She storms behind the counter even louder and then mutters "I don't want your Hispanic money! You always causing problems! None of the other customer say anything!" Stunned, I responded "I have never been treated like this and you have just lost of customer of many years" and left with my dirty blanket in tow because she doesn't deserve my money. And now 20 minutes later I'm telling Yelp, Facebook, and the Better Business Bureau. -1 pt for rudeness, -1 pt for calling me a liar even though I have receipts showing the discrepancies in charges, -1 for literally yelling at me in public and -EVERY OTHER POINT POSSIBLE FOR USING A RACIAL SLUR. I do not think that having an English as a second language (as mentioned in other reviews as an excuse for her behavior) or being born in a different country entitles you to be racist or rude, it just makes you a jerk with an accent. After fighting for a parking spot in the dinky lot, I entered the store and located the change machine. Being practical, I always make sure that I have change before I haul all of my dirty laundry into the store only to find that the change machine is out of order. Here, they have two machines, and sure enough there was a crudely made sign informing customers that one of the two was out of order. I was about to change bills for quarters when a woman began screaming at me and telling me to stop. She said that I could not use that. I told her that I need quarters to do my laundry, she said that I had to present my laundry to her before I could use the change machine. I told her that it was in my vehicle and she threatened to not let me use the machines if I did not show her my laundry before getting change. Despite the good reviews here, I was not impressed. I wanted to do my laundry quickly and quietly, yet I was treated to a woman yelling at me. I am guessing that she was worried about people raiding her change machine and not using the laundry facilities, but there has got to be a better way to go about it. Yelling at potential customers never impresses me. One star, because I am never coming back here again. read more

BED BUGS!!!!! I got bed bugs here. Please beware!!!! They don't clean the machines in hot water because they never have any!!!!!!! I know I got them here because I wash my clothes only here, I've been going here for years and it breaks my heart to post this. But please make sure you wash only in hot and dry on extra hot or you could bring bed bugs home. I will be contacting the owner to let him know, he is super nice but he needs to step it up with more hot water and disinfecting his machines daily! read more

The primary reason why I love this laundromat is that they do not blast grating oldies radio stations over their speakers. I have been to at least six laundromats in and around my Mar Vista neighborhood, and each one tortures me with their impossible-to-ignore "catchy" 60's pop tunes (and equally irritating djs) that invariably pass through my earplugs while I'm trying to study/read/not suffer horribly. Moreover, I have never been hit on by an intoxicated hobo at the Laundry Lounge (knock on wood!), which is reason #2 that I give this place a "Yay! I'm a fan."- 4-star rating. Overall, the clientele is quieter, cleaner, and- dare I pass enough judgment to say- slightly "classier" than at most joints (but the price is still right at $1.50 a load). And the constant presence of at least one member of the pleasant staff additionally helps counteract the traditionally unsavory laundromat environment. With laundromats, you really don't have to shoot very high. Not sketchy, not playing brain-piercingly bad music- Yay! I'm a fan. read more

Okay, so I moved across town for the third time in a year, and was again saddled with the task of finding a good laundromat, this time in Venice. Just my luck that I found a good one on the first try. Laundry Lounge is a small, straight-forward laundromat. The little old lady that runs the place IS crabby, but who cares? The front-loading washers are modern and clean (and only $1.25!), and the dryers didn't fry my clothes. Cheap + quick - crowded = good laundromat. I've never used the fluff-n-fold, though I DID play some video games. Bring your own snacks/entertainment, though, as the arcade/vending machine selection leaves something to be desired. read more

This is where I do my laundry if I can't sneak it for free at someone's house or I let it pile up to more than 3 or 4 loads, which is quite often. My cousin Autumn turned me on to this place. Since it's close to both our houses, we like to meet up here when we both have laundry to do. This is a large place. I've never seen it too crowded and there are plenty of washers, dryers, and folding counters. It's always clean in here! Laundry Lounge is on the corner of Grand View and Washington Place. It shares a parking lot with an El Salvadorian bakery, a video store and a 98 cent place. Parking is generally easy but can get somewhat full. The thing I like here is there are a few round, plastic patio style tables. One has a large stack of today's newspapers with other reading. The other one is next to the arcade games, which I think there are 3 varieties. I like to bring my laptop here and work while I'm doing the laundry. There is also a TV where they generally have on the game (yay!) or ABC shows (yay!) or some movie (yay!). I like that. There is also a clock on the wall so you can keep track of time. Washing is $1.25. There are a few change machines for quarters. Their staff is ever present, as this is also a fluff and fold where you can drop off your laundry and pick it up all washed and folded for you. There are also a variety of laundry items (washing powder, dryer sheets, Soil Love--a MUST have) for sale. Drying is 25 cents for 12 minutes. Love that. Your heavy stuff (towels) will need at least 3 quarters but your regular loads only need 50 cents to get totally dry. read more

I drop my laundry off every two weeks for Fluff and Fold. I've used other places in the past, but I love Laundry Lounge. Just $1 a pound, I don't feel so guilty for being lazy... My clothes come back neatly folded, bagged, and smelling great. They even know which jeans I don't like to put in the dryer and line dry them.
