i think this laundromat is bad but also i like it pros: - not very overstimulating, doesn't have the harsh fluorescent lights and white walls like many laundry places, the walls are yellow with light green pipes - when i went (late afternoon/early evening) it was not very busy - they have a machine you can buy coins from - they sell spare detergent singles (and iirc some other stuff like dryer sheets and fabric softener) - it's not one of the places that takes your laundry they are hands-off unless you want to do the folding service (i guess this could be a con depending but i don't trust people with my laundry, i can't imagine a bored overworked employee will care about tracking the socks of every single person but if i lose a sock i will have to go out and buy another one and what if it's a specific colored/ patterned sock i need as part of a specific outfit and i can't find a comparable sock to replace it) cons: - many laundry machines are out of order and/or filled with water - idk really what to expect for laundromat prices but the worse washing machines are like $3 something (i wanna say $3.75?) which seems a little high to me and the nice ones are like $6 which is imo unusably expensive - there is a sink but it's right outside the bathroom so idk if it's just meant as a bathroom sink or if they're hostile to it being used for laundry. no one got mad at me for it but still it seems weird to not have a laundry-specific sink at a laundromat, people have hand washables and what are you supposed to do if someone goes to the bathroom and needs to use it, either you will have to drain it wasting detergent or they will get their pee germs on your laundry - speaking of the bathroom the toilet bowl was completely smeared with poop so i definitely would advise making sure you go to the bathroom elsewhere beforehand PSA: it only says "gary's cleaners" on the window which isn't very noticeable. the sign atop the building just says "coin laundry" and the sign from the road says "dry cleaners fluff & fold coin wash laundrymat [sic] lavanderia". i think they would have more customers if they could decide on what they want to be called and put on the signs read more

This place is probably the most rundown coin laundry I've ever seen! More than half of the dryer are out of orders, quite a few of them does not have a sticker mentioning it so it's kinda "try your luck thing" I've loaded 4 different dryer before I got one that actually work. It's unfortunate that this place is so rundown. I've been doing my laundry here for years but the status of the laundromat keeps getting worse and worse. Less than half the machines work for both washing and drying. It's expensive ($6 for large washes and I think $2.75 for small ones). They recently raised prices for drying too, and there's been many times I went and my clothes are still wet. I've even gotten my laundry stolen here once (it was years ago, all professional clothes). I kept going because it's close by and the workers are nice enough and I didn't want to make the effort to find a new place but it's looking like I finally have to. It's dirty and I'm tired of dealing with the frustration of finding a working, clean machine. read more

Older lady there who works in Wednesday afternoon harassed me. She was following me when I entered and once I was about to change quarters she started to demand I bring clothes in. I was already checking which machine to use before she came up to me. She demanded the clothes be inside before changing. There is no sign that says that. My clothes were in my car. So she said "okay then show me your car and clothes". I told her I am never coming back and not going to wash today for harassing me. Why would I laundry here after the older lady just harassed me? The reviews show that other people have experienced the same with staff harassing them for changing quarters to use for the laundry machines. I would never recommend this laundry spot to anyone, also for always having dirty machines and floors. read more

I appreciated the fact that they pick up their phone, but the machines themselves are a different story. The regular machines are priced at $3.75 a wash cycle. The older machines are cheaper with $2.25 a wash cycle. (Coins only but they have change at the front desk.) However, the timer is off so expect 45min - 1 hour instead of 30min. My delicate cycle was 45. The dryer machines are all 25 cents for 10 mins. The machine door opened by itself twice during the cycle so Amparo was kind to put a piece of tape on the door for me. I spent $3.25 for 1.5 hours. Their fluff and fold service seems to be all the hype but beware they have a 12lb minimum. read more

Props for their easy, quick, and inexpensive fluff and fold service. I do events and need to get linens cleaned every so often but would honestly spend a fortune dry cleaning them. Gary's charges by the pound (I think $1.50 per lb) and had a huge pile of linens washed, dried, and neatly folded by the next day. Saved myself a ton of time and money. Score! The lady at the window is totally no nonsense and I can respect that. There's a parking lot outside that's shared with the liquor store--it's pretty small and fills up quickly, but parking in the neighborhood isn't bad at all. I have not used the laundromat so this review is not based on the quality or ease of those machines. Will most certainly be coming back to clean linens next time we're in need! read more

This place is grimey AF. Machines are old and mine stopped with 1 min left so I had to re-do it on a different machine bc it was soaking wet. Not the biggest deal. However, I went to go dry my clothes and found a two toned piece of doo doo dried up in one of the dryers. It looks like chocolate, but that's doo doo baby. Not something you want to see when you're about to go dry your newly washed clothes. The workers are nice though. But there was doo doo in the machine so 1 star. I would give 100 stars if I could! I rarely use the cleaners, but I needed to clean my friends bedspread before she returned from her trip, and Gary's was the closest, most affordable option. Boy did I luck out! I had about 4 loads of delicate materials & had no idea how to wash them. Gary was a god send. He helped me with EVERYTHING, from telling me the best cycles to use, to helping me get enough laundry detergent & coins for the machines, to keeping an eye on my laundry while I grabbed coffee!!! Then the absolute cherry on top was when one of the pillows busted open in the wash, his seamstress was able to sew it up on the spot! I can't even imagine what that whole experience would've been like if I went somewhere else & didn't have such attentive service. I like this place because it is still a coin operated laundromat, instead of having to buy a card that I will never use again with a $4.00 deposit, like some other places. I like it old school. Here's the rates: 1.50 for regular, $4.00 for larger, and $4.75 for mega loader. Dryers are .25 for 13 minutes. Bathroom was a quarter to use. A lot of broken machines, but plenty were open. Pretty clean place, with lots of tables for folding, but only three chairs total. They play 80's music. Jesse's girl is rocking it while reviewing. While you wait, you can get you palm read, test your love, weigh yourself, get the winning lottery numbers, play Mr. Baseball and Calba. Did laundry here twice. Awesome experience. Two weeks ago, I brought in about 20 pounds of laundry (3 large loads). They would've done it for me -- fluffed and folded for $21. I thought about it, but since I had time, I decided to wash it myself. Amparo, wonderful woman who works there, showed me the most efficient way to wash and dry. Led me to one of their oversized machines that fit everything. And just $4.75 for the entire load. Then, for drying, she told me to split them between 2 dryers, and put in 3 quarters each (33 minutes). It was the perfect amount of time. My laundry came out perfectly cleaned and dried. It took me about 55 minutes, and cost me $6.25! I went back again 2 days ago. This time, I met the owner Gary who came up and introduced himself while I was deciding which machine to use. (I had 2 large blankets, 2 pillows and some clothes). Gary suggested the same large machine I used previously, and recommended warm water and that I add an additional rinse cycle for just 25 cents. Said it will be best for the blankets. He then showed me how to do this. The extra rinse cycle added about 10 minutes to the wash. When it was time to dry, Amparo showed me what to do, even gave me some tips on the pillows. She showed me the 'tennis ball' trick to getting the feather pillow dry. Everything came out perfect, taking about 75 minutes, and costing $7.50. Love love love this place! Can't wait to go back. read more

Found this place on Yelp when I was looking for Wash & Fold while visiting LA for two weeks. Apparently, it's called Fluff & Fold in CA, which is a cuter name. I dropped my stuff off on Sunday and picked it up on Monday. Everything was folded really nicely and packaged in plastic. Dress shirts were hung. Very much appreciated this. I was in a remodel and had loads and loads of laundry and every week i would drop off and pick up and they were amazing! They supply the laundry soap and fold everything beautifully! The owner goes above and beyond! Service went way downhill recently I brought my laundry here for over a year. I quit because the women are nasty and have very sticky fingers! I lost a beautiful beaded expensive bathing suit top that went there by accident. They ruined quite a few things by throwing darks and lights together even though I painstakingly separated whites, colors and blacks. They do get whites white and things smell nice but they are unskilled with quality clothing, except for taking it. They became surly when the owner let me pick up a few times before paying as a courtesy. Like after a year I'm going to rip him off!! Over $130 a month went to this business!!!! My favorite BBQ place is across the street so if I time it right I can get my laundry in and then go have an awesome sandwich. The $.99 store is around the corner if you need hangars or soap. It's somewhat messy and unkempt, sometimes crowded. It's small, so you're taking a chance if it's busy. But it's really close to my apartment so I like going here, and the cheapest machines I could find in the area. read more

Great machines! Needed to super clean my comforter and pillows. Came here based on the reviews, the negative ones seemed unwarranted and ridiculous, so I went with the positive ones and am 100% satisfied. The owner Gary was there and helped guide me through with what was best for my needs. I used the big machine, lots of room easily fit everything and more, to wash 4.50 and with the prewash for an extra .25, did a great a job. The dryers with high heat were excellent.
