I'm here because I have to be. I will echo some of the other reviews that talk about an out of service bathroom. Additionally, there's actually no wifi, so for anyone WFH who's trying to get stuff done ( i was enticed by this after reading a few other reviews), I was told i needed to text the owner for the wifi code (never got it). I do not recommend this service, especially their delivery option. They charge a driving fee both ways while also requesting tips for the drivers and the service--which makes no sense. What is the driving fee for if it isn't covering the drivers? On top of that, the drivers have the audacity to refuse bringing the clothes upstairs and want to just leave them outside the apartment. Customer service doesn't pick up the phone, and the final bill is always higher than quoted. I used to use Clean Tide Cleaners (which I loved--no hidden driving fees, just optional tips), but they don't serve my new area. With the exact same amount of clothes, this place charged noticeably more. Also, read their terms and conditions carefully: they warn against sending high-quality items because they may "get lost" (steal them). Extremely disappointing experience all around. read more

I've driven by The Laundry Room many times but finally got to try it during a cool event when FX/Hulu took over the laundromat to promote their TV series Adults. When walking in, I was greeted by the team and they handed me a $25 laundry card and a ticket for a swag exchange. Very generous! For their swag, can choose between a T-shirt or laundry bag that were TV show branded. The whole laundromat looked very cool with dimmed lights, strings of lights and a disco ball, TV show branded, the DJ, coffee bar, and bodega set the best vibe ever as you washed your clothes! If it wasn't this much fun every time you did laundry! The bodega had the best classic candy and snacks like Twix and Pop Tarts! Even the laundry staff were very nice and helpful. Why I didn't give it a 5/5 stars? I found it to be a little pricier to do laundry here than other laundromat I've been to! $5.00 for the smallest front load machine? Dryers do take coins, it's $2.50 for about 30 minutes minimum. You can top off after you pay $2.50 but you cannot just start a drying cycle with just a dollar if you want for example. I normally don't hella dry my clothes so I don't dry hot and take all the minutes. I believe there are dryers which you can but you gotta ask which ones they are. read more

So it has been two years since my last review, but I have been coming here weekly ever since. The facility is still well kelp and they finally re-paved the parking lot . They are now offering fluff and fold services. Prices on the machines have gone up a couple times just in the last 12 months but still competitive. In addition to still being able to take debit/credit cards, you can also use the FasCard app which works pretty well. Of course, quarters are always welcome. They have added additional folding stations and they have a table that you can work at, but there is no power outlets, so make sure to bring a fully charged laptop or tablet. While you wait for your laundry, there is always a taco stand or two on Slauson or there is Commissary Coffee around the corner which serves up awesome coffee and treats! NOTE: yes there is a hold if you use debit or credit, but it's per visit, not transaction. If you ever use your debit/credit at a gas station, some do holds too if you read the fine print at the pump. Also 30 minutes on the dryer gets the job done if you put it on HIGH. I have never had to pay more than 30 minutes for drying and my jeans and towels always come out dry read more

Clean facilities but very unclear pricing when using credit cards. I read 3.25 for large dryers and 2.75 for small dryers with 0.25 top ups but having only used two large machines with one top up and one small machine with no top ups i have been charged 3 separate $15 charges which is the same amount as the hold except they didn't clear. I don't know what is wrong with their payment terminal but it's broken and they don't make it clear. I'm never coming back here it's cheaper to use a laundry service compared to this place read more

Prices seem on par, but bring coins or a card. There is no change machine. Many card readers are out. Parking is a real PITA, find street if you can at all. My comforter did get clean and dry, facilities were clean. Bonus: you can get Mexican food at the popup there. read more

The machines are spacious but pricey. The hold on the Debit card was never released. When I emailed about a refund/credit, they requested bank statements. I obliged but was never refunded just ignored. Now I'm reading reviews and seems to be a constant scam at this point. read more

This is my first time ever in a laundromat. I recently moved, and it's taking a while for the washer and dryer to be delivered, so I looked around for nearby laundromats. The place is clean, all the machines accept credit cards, and they have a vending machine which also takes credit cards that sells detergent. They have different size washers, which are priced according to their size. I picked one that easily took everything in my hamper, and it cost $7 for a load. They also have different size dryers. I picked a large one at $3. They also have a folding service, but I didn't use that. I didn't know you had to bring your own detergent, so I had to ask the staff for guidance. They didn't speak English, but via a phone translator, I finally understood they had a vending machine. All in all, pretty quick and easy read more

I have come here before and it's usually been an easy experience but this time I was using a drying machine and the one above it said no coins so I used my card . I tried to top up my dryer and the machine didn't take it. So I asked the worker and she said I'm sorry idk why it won't let you do it . So then the manager came and said you have to top it up 5 minutes before it's over. I've never been to a place that make you top up your laundry 5 minutes before to keep the dryer active. I only needed another minute or so to just make sure. The manager then proceeded to say I've been here for 20 years and I've never had that issue . The laundry mat hasn't been here for 20 years.. I usually like this place but the manger just didn't understand the situation and was just not having it . I just moved to Culver City and so glad I found this laundromat on Yelp since I like to do a LOT of laundry in one fell swoop! Most of their machines are brand new and half of the machines accept credit cards or fast cards (which you can buy there). The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly! The lady who works here told me that if you use your credit card, it places a $15 hold for each swipe for 24 hours, so if you want to avoid those holds on your debit or credit card I suggest just getting the fast card or using coins. They also have change machines. DO NOT USE YOUR DEBIT CARD HERE DIRECTLY. Use CASH ONLY! They have coin change machines available. I had to give at least 2 stars cuz it seems pretty clean and machines don't smell funky. However, each time you swipe your debit card for a machine, it charges a $15 hold. I understand if it does it the first time. But every time I swiped my card, there was an additional $15 hold. Solution: pay only with coins and be prepared to pay minimum $6+ per load to wash and $2.50+ per dryer. I've seen about the same price elsewhere but the multiple hold charges is ridiculous because you gotta have like $60+ to be able to put on hold while it adjusts the actual amount spent in 1-2 business days. we will be back because of the cleanliness and seems staff is here to tend to customers. But we will definitely not be using debit card here again. read more

Tried this laundromat on a Monday around 11:30 am. It was pretty busy. Overall, it was clean, majority of the machines were working. The employees were polite. Most machines accept debit/ credit cards. All machines accept quarters. They do have vending machines. 1 for laundry detergent, fabric softener and bleach. 1 for snacks and drinks. $1.25 for a canned soda. read more

Service is bad the lady that works there is rude and with give you attitude for asking questions. A lot of Machines are out of service and the the vending machines took my money took 20 minutes to resolve the small detergent is $7 so make sure you don't forget your detergent. I have been coming here for about four years and usually my experiences have been pleasant. Every now and then, parking can be challenging but not too egregious. I am not a fan of the $15 temporary hold when using my credit or debit card but it is what it is. Other than that, most of the staff is usually very friendly, professional, and helpful when needed; the machines work well on most occasions, and the restroom is usually clean. Twice this year, the dryers I have used have prematurely stopped drying my clothes while the timer continued counting down. I press start and it starts back drying after having lost x number of minutes of dry time. The first time this happened, I required assistance from a member of staff and the conversation took much longer than what should have been needed to rectify the issue. The second time it happened, I didn't bother making a deal about it because I caught it early but others weren't so fortunate; and they expressed their unpleasantries to a member of staff with much passion and volume. read more

I've lived in this area for the past 8 yrs and I've never experience being unsafe while doing laundry. on a random Sunday superbowl weekend my significant other and I were doing laundry together and then we were approached by some Hispanic men that were harassing my boyfriend (African American )to the point where they fought outside the laundry room parking lot . He is not a gang banger and neither am I . We both work for state of California just two regular citizens doing laundry . No one stepped in to stop it or call the police . No security guard on the property . The Hispanic men then came in the laundry room towards me like as if they were going to attack me and I had to leave my clothes because I was scared for my life . We were not bothering anyone or doing anything other than waiting for our laundry and we were harassed for being black in the neighborhood to do laundry. Safety should always come first and I no longer feel safe doing laundry here . They should have security on the property at all times . read more

I haven't gone to the laundry mat in a long time but needed to because I had to wash two sleeping bags and needed to put them in a large washer: for one wash i was charged $15. Not sure if that is the correct price but that seems very high to me. At the same time I was washing the sleeping bags I brought a load of clothes to wash and I was charged $13 for the large commercial washer. Either i was charged an egregious amount to use the washers or I'm out of touch with pricing but I normally get charged about $2.50 at the apartment complex. read more

I took two car covers for wash & fold, they returned them back in a clear plastic bag that was tied. After a couple of weeks I noticed condensation forming inside the bag and after opening them noticed that they were extremely wet, they failed to properly dry them, which is not good in it self. The big problem came when i returned to have them re wash and dry them (they developed a slight mildew smell from being damp in the bag) and the workers could not handle fixing the mistake and had to call the manager or owner several times and holding me up for approximately 40 minutes only to come to the conclusion that I would have to PAY for the service again despite the reason for this being their mistake. Their reasoning? Because it had been a few weeks and it was raining outside. (These we're brought back in the same large clear plastic bag that was tied and completely sealed as it was given to me. Let me start by saying that this place is so expensive! I come here as a last resort. The machines are not properly marked to know which don't accept coins. You got to keep an eye to see of the got a slot for coins or you're forced to use a card. When you use a card, they place a $15 additional hold per machine you use (wtf!). To top it off today, there's no hot water! They overcharge and there's no hot water! I only noticed when one of the machines took forever to drop water on clothes and I asked the attendant. The first attendant said to ask the other attendant because her shift was over but for some reason, she was still there folding clothing. The second attendant said there's no hot water and I asked why didn't they put up a sign stating that. She pointed to a sheet of paper by the door that had some handwriting the size of a disclaimer (I'm sure everyone is not seeing it), handwritten in black... long story short, come here at your own risk. I know I don't like to come here! Especially because they force you to spend $3 per dryer which is an insane amount of time and most likely, you'll leave money behind of you are washing in a hurry. Everyone is looking to dry all clothing at the same time. So do the math and calculate how many washing machines you got x $3 each for drying; or stay there for more than2 hours rotating clothing to use your balance. This is the best washing scam in town! The woman in charge of the laundromat is also in charge of the laundry service and when there's questions or concerns about the machines she seems overwhelmed and cranky. I personally had a problem with a dryer and when I got her to come help me out she did not respond helpfully in any way. In fact she gave me attitude and horrible service. Best laundromat I've been to and glad it's close to home. They make it very easy to use their machines because Apple Pay and card readers are built in each so you don't have to worry about swapping bills for coins (using coins is still an option here). By the way, they have helpful staff such as Janelle. Also, don't worry about having to go back home for your detergent since they sell some. certainly recommend coming here. read more
