My dentist retired and I was looking to establish with someone new. I'm almost 40 and have never had to return to a dental office to repair work, or re-touch. I had a broken tooth, so came in to get it repaired. They were able to get me in super quickly, and the support staff were communicative and friendly. The dental hygienists were great - very friendly, quick. The dentist was nice enough, but I returned to get it fixed (after the evaluation), and had such an awful experience. I've never had such an unpleasant, uncomfortable experience, with little to no information being communicated. I left, vowing never to return but unfortunately this tooth began to hurt (which never hurt when it was broken), sensitive, and completely unable to bite down. I returned for repair and was told that sometimes this happens. Again, this has never happened to me. They fixed it I suppose. It is still more sensitive than any other teeth but I will never be back here. Unfortunate, because staff were nice and this is located near to me. Other offices have a long wait to get in, or are not taking new patients and I guess I should've known when they could get me in right away! read more

ACTIVE COVID DENIER, REFUSED TO MASK, AVOID IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH. Here's the slightly longer version. I just had a very short initial appointment. The dental techs were very friendly, got my missing x-rays done quickly. Masked when I asked them to. Then the doctor showed up. I asked him to mask. You know, because I'm gonna be inches from his face while he exams, and it's not like I can mask while he works on my teeth. Dentist: "Why?" Me: "...COVID?" Dentist: "And that does what?" Me: "I'm going somewhere else, thanks." What the actual fuck? These are supposed to be medical professionals. I came here because I'd been referred by someone else with medical/dental anxiety, and instead I get a COVID denier? And, like, even if you somehow don't mind rolling the dice on Long COVID over and over again, there are still OTHER easily transmissible diseases that you can prevent by using a simple mask? The same way you wear gloves to prevent infection? This is not rocket science for fucks sake. Looking forward to how much they're going to charge me for walking out. read more

Pros: They were able to accommodate me super quickly. I called for a new patient visit and they got me in the next day. Did Xrays, cleaning, and wisdom teeth consultation all in one visit. Cons: Super small clinic with not really enough room. The room I was in had a broken machine so I had to change rooms mid-cleaning. This wasn't a super big deal, but just something to note. However, getting the XRAYS was the most painful experience i've had at the dentist. She severely cut/bruised underneath my tongue and I was/still am bleeding. Pros: they were able to get me in quickly and they are located close to my house. Cons: As someone who grew up with a father as a dentist (now retired), this is not the type of practice you want to go to. I saw this dentist twice and the first time I had a decent experience, however, he pushed Invisalign very hard. I asked for 1- a treatment plan and 2- a cost estimate of the Invisalign before I signed up for anything. After multiple attempts (emails / calls) to get the needed info, I still did not receive but was emailed more than once about when I would be available to remove my permanent retainer to start treatment. It felt like they were being so pushy with the Invisalign and didn't deliver on their end what I was asking for. On the second visit, I said I was not interested in Invisalign and my cleaning went well. However, Dr. Bilikas came in to do my exam and did not wear a mask at all. I was appalled and his answer was that it was "just a quick check". I called my dad to tell him what happened and he urged me to stay away from that office. They recently reached out to me claiming that my insurance did an audit and claimed that i wasn't covered by insurance during my appointment over a year ago and were billing me for my service. When I called my insurance company they verified I was insured, that they paid the practice over a year ago and they cashed the check, and they have no records of requesting a refund from the provider (32 pearls) at all. It felt very scammy. Beware. read more

They place and implant for me in April and in the next month I got a crack on the crown. They fixed it and in a month, I got it cracked again. They said that it's normal. I guess, the quality of work wasn't good, my husband has four implants and none of them got ever cracked. I would never go to this office again and will not recommend them to anyone else. In addition they we dishonest with the cost of the implant. In initial Treatment Plan, they indicated that my insurance will pay 80% of the total cost, too bad, I didn't verify that with my insurance company. As I learned later, there is no way that insurance companies are covering 80% for implants, in the best scenario, they cover 50-60%. The office has full access to my insurance plan and are aware of the coverage. But they prefer to be dishonest quoting lower cost. It was a very nasty surprise when the dental office send me final bill, the cost of way more than they initially quoted. You don't trust people who is trying to deceive you. read more

We go here for our family invisilign treatment and have had a good experience. They are a top 1% provider for Invisilign so know what they are doing. However, I went here for a filling and it was a pretty bad outcome which resulted in multiple surgeries and ultimately a new dentist. The new dentist is top rated in restorative dentistry but is a bit further away from where I live. I wish I had done a Yelp search in the first place. My lesson is to pick the dentist based on whether you are looking for Invisilign, restorative, orthodontics or prothodentistry. I dont want to make an ad for my new dentist (as thats not my intention). But highly recommend no going here for restorative stuff. Great for Invisilign though and we will keep using them for that. read more

Please stay away from 32 Pearls dental office if you are a senior on Medicare. Even though they are listed as accepting HMO MEDICARE Advantage insurance, they do NOT! And they will harass you to pay out of pocket. I was assured by phone, and in person prior to my initial dental exam, that Premera would be billed. Came here for a cleaning and check up. We don't have dental insurance and just pay for our service. No issues, very direct with what is going to be performed and how much it is going to cost. I appreciate that, because we've gone to other places for upsets in the past and sometimes the medical lingo didn't make sense to me. My husband and I came here as first time patients. Arrive a little earlier to take care of the paperwork. There's parking on the street, as well as some dedicated parking in the parking lot. It's a small dental practice that has, I believe, 3 chairs for patients to rotate through. The hygienist was lovely to talk to and was considerate throughout the whole entire cleaning. Both her and the dentist made recommendations and spelled out what was precautionary and what was necessary. Straight forward and easy to work with. read more

I have been a patient since 2007. I referred 2 of my neighbors. The first few years went well. I felt as if the Dentist was concerned and personable. I had great insurance yet they only excepted cash giving me a deal. Years in I had nothing but problems starting around 2019. 1 red label!! NO NOVACAIN! WAS GIVEN NOVACAIN. Dentists never apologized, Beilikas, had to replace my crowns. He is too invested in his Invisline patients. Dentist run office like a school. He leaves you with training tech. They slipped with Instrument and severely cut underneath my tongue and I could not eat or talk the pain was incredible I never got an apology. I got a prescription for 4 pain pills through tech or receptionist. Second time same crown came out that he put in come when dental floss. He really thought I was going to pay again for re glue. I saw my neighbor that I had referred at her nephew football game. I ask are you still going to dentist 32 pearls? She said no way! Dentist doesn't even see you and that she feels as if a dental school even better. Asked why I kept going back? Well... he would take 3 thousand at time so my money's was already there. I have been a patient at this clinic for 25 years, starting when Dr. Anderson owned the practice. I had been perfectly satisfied with Dr. Bilikis until recently, when I heard from another patient that Dr. Bilikis was not vaccinated against Covid and didn't plan to be, because "he's a healthy guy". Not wanting to rely on hearsay, I made several attempts over the past month to have him confirm or deny this -- through email, his contact form, and phone calls. I got no reply whatsoever. Whatever the truth is, I'm concerned that he refuses to engage on a perfectly reasonable request from a patient -- after all, vaccination protects those you come in contact with as well as yourself. And a dentist is actually working in your mouth! I had some truly awful experiences here. TLDR: if you want a dentist that doesn't care about you unless you buy Invisalign through them, are happy to manage your own Invisalign experience, and don't mind poor management, this is the place for you. I started going here because of a family recommendation, and my first visit was fine - the only thing was, the DENTIST, Dr. Bilikas (the only one I dealt with) at the end, said something to the effect of, "did you have braces? I can tell, your teeth have shifted. You should consider Invisalign." Now, while I know they are also an orthodontist office, I was there for my dental health, nothing more. So I politely declined and went about my day. The thing was, these people really wear you down. I BARELY saw the dentist at all when I was there for my next two dental checkups - I mean, truly 30 seconds and I could absolutely tell he did not care. And each appointment, the dental hygienist would shill Invisalign to me. Every single time. I did not want it at first, but they made me feel so insecure about my teeth that I finally caved. And wouldn't you know it? As soon as I signed up for it, the dentist could not have been more interested in me or my experience. Great, fine. My Invisalign course went fine, except *I* was the one who had to notify the office that I needed my next round of trays, or needed my checkup - they did not manage it AT ALL, and I have a feeling if I had waited for them to contact me for my next trays or checkups, I would still be waiting. The best part was at the end, when I needed my final retainer, they hadn't even bothered to order it for me. The dentist, during my checkup, completely forgot where I even was in the course, and had to go order my final retainers for me during my appointment - after I had made it explicitly clear that i was there for my *final checkup* and to *pick up my permanent retainer*. I was legitimately shocked - this is a service I was paying thousands of dollars for, and I was STILL being treated like an afterthought. Another truly awesome moment was when I had scheduled an appointment about a month in advance - with the available times given to me by the front desk - and then, 4 HOURS before, they canceled the appointment on me because the dentist was in Tacoma that day. Great! Shouldn't you have probably known that prior to the day of, when I had to reschedule meetings and work just to accommodate this appointment? Oh, and about that $100 fee that you charge patients for canceling appointments within 24 hours...I guess that doesn't apply going the other way! Look, the dental care is fine. My teeth are still in my head. So if this stuff doesn't bother you, you'll probably have a great experience. I'm just excited to finally go to a different dentist who will schedule me for when their dentist is there, and won't exclusively treat me like a cash cow. read more

Wayne the receptionist is absolutely the rudest person I have ever encountered! He is so combative and argumentative over the phone. Worst customer service experience I have EVER received! I canceled my appointment, I had cancelation confirmation number but he wouldn't even let me talk to let him know that I did in fact had canceled and had a confirmation number and e-mail. He was hollering, and before letting me say a word, he tells me I need a new dentist and hangs up on me! It was not the first time he treated me like this over the phone. Friendly staff, smallish but well-kept office and patient spaces, good service. Lovely lakeside location. A little tricky to find so allow extra time on your first visit. Even if you're going in for just a semi-annual cleaning you can expect to be presented with cosmetic dentistry options but they keep everything very low pressure and leave decision with patient. read more

I made an appointment because it was convenient (i.e. close by) and it was time to find a dentist in this great city. It is a clean office and everyone was friendly enough. I do however find that there is a fine line as an adult where dental hygienists can choose to treat you like an adult or a child. I get it. It is hard to tell someone to floss everyday but making someone feel 5 years old then proceeding to feel belittled when you are telling the doc man right outside the door when he is about to see you... I don't know... I can't explain it other than an all around uncoolness with the communication style in the office. Needless to say I didn't keep my follow up 6 month appointment and found a new teeth doc in Seattle. Again nothing crazy wrong, just a wrong feeling for me personally. read more

Do you remember way back in the day when you had that friendly dentist in the little office, everyone in the staff remembered your name, pet/kid's name, and the dentist actually helped you? Those places still exist. You'll find all that and more here. They have everything on site. Just new to this neighborhood and needed to find a new dentist. We learned that several of our neighbors are patients of Dr. Bilikas, and really enjoy going (imagine that). I was very happy with my first visit. Halee, my hygienist, walked me through what he was going to do, such as telling me which teeth he was going to X-ray, why he was using a certain tool, and offering ways to improve my oral hygiene. He even lent me a pair of sunglasses to minimize the glare from the lamp in my eyes. Dr. Bilikas was thoughtful, descriptive, and didn't seemed rushed in his time with me. He answered all my questions and gave deeper explanations when I was unclear on the dental terminology. He recommended a treatment plan for the fillings I need replaced, and, instead of telling me to come in and get them all done at one time, prioritized the treatment so that I could focus on the most important replacements first. When I checked out, the office manager showed me the estimated cost of the treatment plan, including the anticipated portion that would be covered by insurance. I'm happy to have this information and it helps me to take control of the costs of my dental care. The office is busy, so you'll have to plan some time ahead for your appointment. read more

This experience took away six months of my life. I was seen by both Dr. Bilikas and Dr. Sullivan who first placed a temporary crown and then a permanent crown on a infected tooth. Every time I called regarding the severe pain I was asked to come in to have my "bite adjusted" which was again extremely painful as I was already in pain. Their diagnosis was wrong and they had multiple opportunities to fix it. They were adamant and defensive, and the staff hostile. Dr. Bilikas is extremely rude and only cares about money. I would not recommend this office to anyone! I decided to take the matter into my own hands and spent three more months with an Endodontist to get the root canal done and get another permanent crown. P.S I now have a new dentist and the difference is night and day. This all the more confirms my belief that there is something wrong with the way Dr. Bilikas and his office treats patients. read more
