Eventhough I told the Dr I needed extra novacaine, he didn't listen. He was so rough with the 2nd injection he caused me to scream with pain. I've been to plenty of specialist, so I know how rough he was. I had to argue with person responsible for insurance claim because he insisted insurance wouldn't cover any of procedure. They also wouldn't bill both my insurances. Turns out DeltaDental paid some of it so I had been billed almost $300 more. I had to call & get reimbursed. They only sent me part of amount so I had to call again! Then I had to submit another claim to Humana Dental when I found out they covered the extraction. The check for $436.77 incorrectly sent to Seattle Oral & not Mr since I paid for procedure out of pocket. Seattle Oral cashed check, never notifying me. Now I'm trying to get in touch with whoever handles this, after sending email, voice-mail, speaking with reception. I was told I'd hear back this morning & haven't yet. They've now kept my money 3x! I wonder how much money they've kept from other people

I would like to begin by saying that, had my experience ended after receiving my initial TMJ…read moreappliance, this would have been a five-star review. Unfortunately, my experience with follow-up care significantly changed that impression. To provide context, here is a brief summary of the time and financial investment involved: June 2024: Initial visit Travel: Approximately 2 hours round trip per visit to the Seattle office Visits: 7 follow-up visits since June 2025 (the actual number is higher, but earlier appointments were on a work calendar I no longer have access to) Cost: Over $3,000 paid out of pocket, which includes 2-3 follow-up visits that I had to pay for out of pocket at around $150-$250 a visit. For several years prior to seeking care here, I had been dealing with persistent tooth pain, jaw pain, chipped teeth, worsening tinnitus, and other related symptoms. I initially raised concerns about my bite feeling "off" with my periodontist while being treated for a root canal, and I was referred to TMJ Orofacial Disorders based on other patients' positive experiences. From my very first visit-and repeatedly during nearly every follow-up appointment-I clearly communicated that I suffer from significant bruxism (nighttime teeth grinding). The initial appliance was a lower-fitting device with well-defined grooves that properly seated my teeth. When I closed my mouth or attempted to grind, my teeth were held securely in place. Approximately two weeks after receiving this appliance, I experienced significant improvement: my bite felt stable, jaw pain was reduced, and my tinnitus noticeably improved. At that point, I genuinely believed my long-standing issues were finally being resolved. However, during subsequent follow-up visits, the appliance was repeatedly "adjusted". With each adjustment, the grooves and indentations that previously stabilized my teeth were gradually removed. Eventually, the appliance no longer provided any positional control, and my teeth simply slid across it like a standard mouthguard. Within roughly two months of the last adjustment, all of my original symptoms returned-bite instability, jaw pain, headaches, and increased tinnitus. Over the course of seven or more additional visits, there were multiple attempts to modify the appliance to restore its original effectiveness. While it was eventually altered to limit tooth movement again, this required adding a significant amount of material, resulting in excessive vertical height. Unfortunately, this increased height has worsened my bruxism and continues to cause headaches, jaw pain, crown pain, and increased tinnitus. When I ultimately asked whether a new appliance could be made to properly address these issues, I was informed that I would need to pay an additional $1,000 for new impressions and a replacement appliance. As it stands, I have paid over $3,000 (not including parking fees, fuel, mileage, or time) for an appliance that is only partially effective and, in some ways, has exacerbated my symptoms. This outcome has been both frustrating and discouraging, especially given the promising results I experienced with the original appliance configuration. I share this experience as a caution to others with similar conditions: be extremely mindful of how your appliance is adjusted during follow-up visits, as improper or excessive modifications can significantly reduce effectiveness and lead to substantial additional costs.

Our consult was great. I found him knowledgeable, experienced to the extreme and very personable. I definitely don't understand why someone would characterize him as rude because he was very polite and interested in me and what had brought me to his office. I was most surprised by his low pricing relative to his reputation and amount of experience! For about 3-4 months I had investigated the cost and where to go to complete a total mouth reconstruction. I.e. implants and fixed dentures. I spent weeks researching and meeting with dental consultants. I came to Dr. Feldman's office assuming he would provide me with the upper range in pricing for dental implants. His prices were actually lower than non surgeons with a third of his experience. If you read my other reviews, you will see that I always do my homework with regards to getting things done that matter. Without a doubt Dr. Feldman and Dr. Bloomquist at Swedish in Seattle are the best in the Pacific Northwest at dental and maxillofacial surgery.

2 years ago I was diagnosed with throat cancer, discovered accidentally during a dental procedure…read more One day shortly afterwards - I woke up in excruciating pain. A piece of bone was protruding from my jaw, lacerating my tongue every time I spoke. I went to a dentist who referred me to Dr Feldman - I got an appointment right away - which made me happy- late in the afternoon. This was 2 years ago - but from the office you'd think it was 1978- the receptionist was aghast that I had not brought my checkbook. I hadn't written a check in years - they did not have the ability to take any kind of credit/debit cards. Then they came to get me, taking another complete set of ex rays - One of the first things Dr Feldman told me my drs were idiots and that there was no way cancer could be diagnosed from dental ex rays - which struck me odd - Drs don't usually bad mouth each other. After that he looked at the ex rays then told me that he was leaving in 2 hours to fly to Singapore to meet a grandchild and that someone would contact me in 2 weeks to schedule something - he had only taken my appointment to "get another one in " before his vacation then he was gone. I was in pain and all he did was try to cast doubt in my medical team - milk my insurance and leave. Funny thing though - I managed to fall a asleep that night - when I woke up the next morning - it was gone - it had broken off in the night - less than 10 hours after he looked at my ex rays. You'd think one could tell. I never heard from him again - but he continues to bill me the $40 co pay - I am sure it has cost him more than that to try to wring the $40- I hope since then he has upgraded his office to include those new fangled card readers Why'd I wait so long? I had another oral surgery nightmare recently and it all came back- honestly I thought he was no longer practicing - he seemed pretty close to being on his last legs then. He left me scared and in pain and danced off

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was deeply disappointing…read more I sought treatment here for TMJ/orofacial pain and went through multiple appointments, including imaging and digital scans for a custom appliance. After investing significant time and multiple trips to the office, communication became increasingly frustrating and inconsistent. I was told my appliance appointment had to be rescheduled because of a delay, only to later receive a termination letter ending the provider-patient relationship due to an alleged "breakdown in the therapeutic relationship." What bothered me most was not simply the termination, but the lack of clear, straightforward communication regarding the status of treatment already in progress. Matters that should have been simple became unnecessarily complicated. If you are considering this clinic, I would strongly encourage asking detailed questions upfront about billing, insurance coverage, timelines, and how unresolved treatment plans are handled if issues arise. This was an unexpectedly stressful and disappointing experience.
