DO NOT ENTER this shop. EVER. FOR ANYTHING. Do not just pop in here for a quick anything! If I could give this shop minus stars I would. The salesmen are extremely talented swindlers and liars and should be running courses in extreme high pressure selling and extortion techniques. These guys could sell refrigeration trucks to Eskimos. Read all the reviews here and decide which ones are real and which ones aren't. They will lie repeatedly directly to your face. They are relentless. They will praise, complement and belittle you. They love your country. They have many great customers from your country who come here repeatedly because they get such a good deal. They will manage to sell you stuff that you don't want or need. They will tell you many "factual" truths that are outright lies. Do not ask for any advice here. It will only be false advice to benefit themselves. All their prices on the store labels are hugely inflated compared to MRRP. Then they reduce the prices in huge amounts to make you feel you are getting a reasonable deal. You aren't! They may switch products and charge higher prices than agreed. They don't even give you a proper itemised receipt. They want you to sign a blank receipt. They don't tell you that they have a no returns policy. There is no NYC state statute consumer law to protect you. If you have shopped here and been defrauded, ripped off, swindled and scammed, DO NOT accept in on the chin. Fight back. Go directly to NYC Department of Consumer Affairs, downtown at 42 Broadway, who are incredibly helpful, with a detailed knowledge of how to fight back. I managed to obtain a full refund with the DCAs help. It was nonetheless stressful and time-wasting. Do yourself a huge favour and shop instead at B and H Camera and Video, who are excellent, very knowledgeable and fair, and they are only two blocks away at 34th and 9th! Or go to Audio 46 for headphones etc at 46th St near 6th Ave. These guys and other small camera electronic and luggage in this tourist-heavy area are all pretty dodgy outfits. AVOID! I must say really friendly people and super store which is hard to find in New York City. I would clearly make a point to people just criticizing this place which they shouldn't at least for this place. I would like to narrate my experience at this store itself. I was there to buy a laptop and they asked me what kinda configuration I am looking for and they suggested me few different lappies. Meanwhile a couple came in the store and started yelling at the staff and owner of the store as they told they had charged him for something different and they were given something else in plastic bag. First impression for me was like " where the hell did I land up " ? But then the owner stepped in and told we would return you the full amount you paid but before you go we would like to clarify this for our prestige . They had the CCTV's and camera installed in store and they showed them the recording (in 25 mins or so) for 2 days before when that couple had actual come in store . Owner told we gave you the piece (Camera) what we showed and charged you the same. And I was standing there listening and watching this , I was sooo damn happy that we still have this kinda people in world who cares about their prestige, even there were 2 other customers standing and listening this all. Owner requested the couple and asked them to accept some $800.00 for their camera they purchased and gave them the Money for their CAB they came in for. Owner very politely only told one thing to couple we are very sorry but we dont want to sell our stuff to customers who dont deserve to be our valued & esteemed customers. He returned the same amount he charged and also the CAB charges as well. I am really happy and proud to be their customer , Kudos to the store owner and staff working for them !!! read more

I discovered Camera and Computers on 34th street one day while browsing Manhattan, NY, and decided that I needed to make a trip to the store. I was looking for a new unlocked phone and Fix my old phone, but had no clue how long the process would take or how complicated it would be. To my surprise, the staff was super friendly, even going as far as picking out Phone protector and case to go with my phone ! The checkout was simple, and what sold me on buying their product was that it had a 1 year warranty for no extra price. The staff emailed and told me they would update me on the progress of my phone repair, which should be ready in 4-8 hours. This has been such an easy process, and it's great supporting a small business. I will be returning for more Phones Cases and unlocked phones, when the time comes! read more

I've been to this store on October 20, 2011 to buy night vision binnoculars to a friend of mine (I am from Brazil). I had no knowledge of the models and/or prices (the only thing I knew I'd like to pay around US$ 100). I was served by someone who presented himself as the 'owner' of the store. He showed Bushnell 8x21 binnoculars and claimed it had night vision. He also said its retail price was US$170, but as I was the first client of the day, he could sell the product for US$ 100. I naively did so and in Brazil discovered the product in question cost around US$ 15 and has no night vision whatsoever! In short, this company is dishonest, to say the least! read more

The best store for electronics in NYC. I did buy a baby monitor for my kid and they really offered a very good & cheap price. I must say anyone visiting NYC should go to this place. The staff over there is really helpful and co operating as well ! Everything was great! The salesman I dealt with was extremely knowledgeable and worked with me to suggest a great Monitor that fit my needs and just as importantly my price range. What a horrifick place. Watch out for a guy called Ray. He´s a hustler and rip you off all your money. If you experience any hustle or any rip off, ask after Bob. He´s a manager of another store by the same owner. It helps to go back. You don´t get your money back, but they will find something to level out the pricedifference or a better product. The more that contact Bob, the more pain in the ass the other guys get.
