The young gentleman who assisted me was very informative, patient, and knowledgeable. They let me know my options without pushing. I needed an oil change, and my neighbor recommended this location. I arrived yesterday morning (Wednesday around 8:35am) when I went inside, Alex said for me to pull my car up into the service area. He checked out my vehicle, and explained the difference between synthetic oil and synthetic blend. When he finished, he checked my tire pressure, and said all of the fluids were topped off. The value of the oil change was definitely worth the money. He was extremely thorough in explaining everything to me and making sure I understood and answered the questions I did have. I will never take my car anywhere else. They just won a customer for as long as I'm in Visalia. I took my new (to me, 2018) Corolla in because I smelled a slight burning smell when I stopped the car. I figured I may need an oil change, as I hadn't gotten one yet. The dealership who sold me the car said between 65-67,000 miles and I was at 64,500. Kevin check my oil level and said the level was fine and the oil was clean. He then checked numerous things including air filter inside and said there seems to be nothing wrong, may just be a little burning plastic smell when the car gets hot. He said to come back when I'm approaching the miles quoted by the dealership. Zero charge. I'm stunned. After being sold and sold at other oil change places, to encounter someone so honest and thorough was so refreshing. There's good people left in the world dammit! Human race isn't done for just yet! My first experience bringing my car in was on a hot day and they offered me a water. It was quick and so convenient that it's located right next to our neighborhood. My second time in I needed to get my oil checked before a road trip. They checked the oil and filled the tires with air free of charge. Today they really outdid themselves, going above and beyond when my husband brought our car in with a flat tire. This place is fantastic! The technicians were thorough, quick and polite. One of the owners greeted me and offered a 10% discount since I was a first time customer. (I'm not sure how long that promo will run though) I was concerned that my oil change and tire rotation would be expensive because 36 North is brand new, extremely clean and in a great location. (Note: the waiting area and customer restroom facilities are pristine). But it was actually less expensive than what Jiffy Lube charges me. But unlike Jiffy Lube- they didn't try to push things on me. Rather they were honest and offered their opinion. For example, my rear differential fluid was dark but wasn't low. They told me it'd be okay until the next time I had my truck serviced but recommended that it be drained and changed then. I decided to go across the street and get a hot drink from Starbucks while I waited, but my truck was finished by the time my order was ready. This is my new go-to oil change spot!
