Tried this place one night across from my work have lots of little bites. Have a cute little inside seating area services. OK it was my first time there and the guy didn't really have any recommendations. Besides, the kind of look on the menus I asked multiple questions and kind of created my own quesadilla they have a lot As far as tacos fajitas quesadillas again I got the steak quesadilla with cilantro lime dressing. It was amazing.

$12 for a rice bean and chees burrito? I can't afford to come again! I can't afford to come again! I can't afford to come again!

Used to come here in the 90s. The food is fresh but too expensive. Burritos are a daily staple for me but I'll have to make it a once a month thing here.

This is my go spot for a great steak and prawn burrito wrapped in a spinach tortilla. Also had a chicken soft taco that was wonderful as well. Cant go wrong eating here.

This place has the freshest ingredients and large portions. The fish tacos are the bomb!

Fresh fresh fresh.... 1. Salsa made today....check 2. Guacamole made today and not mushy! The best I've ever had. 3. The fish for the tacos freshly caught. No fishy smell here. Walnut Creek, don't let this Mexican Jewel disappear for lack of support. These guys are doing it right! A hot day, fresh food, cold drink and outside dining! A slice of Mexico has arrived at 1558 Newell Ave. Support your local businesses!

Would be nice if they cleaned the poop out the shrimp. Lost my whole appetite after a few bites & seeing this

I neglected to mention that this location had an odor reminiscent of dirty Pinesol. That was off-putting for me.

Excellent steak quesadilla! Great deal for $11.95. I like their crispy tortilla chips, which have a lot of texture and are not oily.

The service was also amazing everyone was so friendly and welcoming! Everything we ordered was delicious. I had the huevos rancheros, breakfast potatoes, sourdough French toast, and a blackberry mojito, and I enjoyed everything. The sourdough French toast was definitely my favorite it had such a good balance of sweetness, and the sourdough flavor cut through it just enough that it wasn't overly sweet or cloying. And my boyfriend, who isn't vegan, ended up finishing the French toast, which is how I KNOW it was objectively delicious The blackberry mojito was also delicious and super refreshing for brunch. I also love that they have outdoor seating, and the area around the restaurant is really cute to walk around and explore afterward. Overall, such a great brunch spot with delicious food, adorable vibes, great service, and plenty to explore nearby. I'd definitely come back to try out the their lunch options

Everything sounded delicious, but we went with the recommendations made by a staff member. We decided to share the infamous smash burger, the watermelon salad, and the pistachio bread. For drinks, we both got an iced lavender latte, which was delicious. I loved how the cardamom complemented the lavender so well and it was very refreshing and not too sweet. The smash burger was the best vegan patty I have had in years. It was very flavorful and moist. The watermelon salad was delicious, especially the avocado mousse. The pistachio cream on the pistachio bread was so addicting. I wish I could have bought a bottle of it! Every single item was crafted so well with the freshest ingredients. It was nice going to a place that focused less on soy, and more on whole foods and flavor. I highly recommend making a reservation, especially for brunch.

This alone told me this restaurant was going to be great. The clove was an absolutely outstanding restaurant. Every single thing we got exceeded expectations. The price is also extremely reasonable and the servings are massive. The customer service is also very good. We chose this restaurant because we were looking for a place that could make Jain food for my Nani. I was delightfully surprised to see just how accommodating they are and how much of the menu can be made jain! Matar paratha - not something you see on the menu too often! My Nani ordered this and it was SO good! The peas provided a very fresh flavor, and truly reminded us of something we would eat at home. Dosa - insanely big. The filling was very good, and the sambar was probably one of the best ones I've ever had. Thali- it's not often that you find a thali in which every single dish is good. In this one, though every dish was so flavorful and so good. It was a great introduction to the food at the restaurant. Soya chaap- it was my first time having this because it's also one of those things you don't find on the menu often. It was delicious though, the sauce was tangy and had just a touch a spice to it. Overall, the food was very good. It was spicy in a way that isn't in your face. We truly loved all the food we got and the whole experience. It is very rare that my Nani actually enjoys what she gets at a restaurant, but the clove was so good that my Nani was asking if we can come back to the next day. The clove provides food that reminds you of home. while the restaurant has more of a modern feel to it, the service and food make it feel homey. My only feedback: bring the appetizer out before the entrées! Not after

June specials - Raj Kachori was the only dish we liked in our meal, the thetcha paneer tikka was super bland and the hariyali marination to the paneer didn't leave any taste in the mouth. 50/50! Mostly non meat salads, lentil soup, humus, pita and fries. All very well put together and flavorful. Can't say I have a favorite, all were good. Oh and the rose lemonade was delicious, too. I ordered the chicken kabob wrap with a choice of salad or fries for $20.99, along with a 16 oz pistachio coffee for $8. After tax, I was right around $32 total. The food was okay, but that's really all I can say about it. For nearly $21, the portion was small and the meal did not feel remotely worth the price. And then there's the $8 pistachio coffee. This was one of the biggest disappointments. It tasted like regular coffee with some crushed pistachios thrown in, yet they're charging $8 for a 16 oz cup. I've had plenty of specialty coffee at Starbucks that costs less, tastes better, and is consistently made. To make matters worse, the woman at the register told me they were missing the base for the coffee I ordered. If you're charging $8 for a drink, I expect it to be made correctly, taste good, and be consistent. The biggest issue with Mankish is value. For around $30, I can feed two people at In-N-Out. I can feed two people at Chipotle. At Mankish, I spent roughly $30 on one small meal and a mediocre $8 coffee. The food isn't terrible , it's just completely overpriced for what you're getting. When you're charging premium prices, the portions, quality, consistency, and overall experience need to justify it. Unfortunately, they don't. $30+ for one person and I left feeling like I barely ate. Overall: 3/10. The food is okay, but the prices are ridiculous for the portions and quality. The $8 coffee was especially disappointing. I wouldn't return.
