Not being a great fan of Thai food I find this restaurant may change my mind. This is a small restaurant that opened up awhile ago and I must say the food is quite to my liking. I had ordered the lunch menu of pad see ew before but failed to inform them to make it mild, oh boy did I get a shock, way too spicy. I now know to order anything in mild. I did love their pad see ew but order it in mild. This time I wanted to try their red curry with beef, in mild of course, this too was pretty wonderful. Was having a crazy craving for drunken noodles last night, so I searched on yelp for an establishment with above a 4.5 rating that served drunken noodles. I placed my order using instacart but picked it up so I wouldn't have to pay the additional $20 delivery price. The location is small and unassuming. The restaurant was packed on a Sunday evening which tells me they are consistent with the food they serve. The gentleman at the counter was super helpful and told me to just call it in next time and save on the insta fees. Service gets a 4.8/5. We brought our food home instead of eating in. I got non-spicy drunken noodles with chicken, my other half got drunken noodles level 3 spicy. Mine was packed full of flavor and I really enjoyed how much basil was in the dish. My only negative reaction was that the noodles seemed overcooked, but we did also travel back home with the hot container and that could have kept cooking. The noodles were a 4.7/5. The spicy green beans were cooked al dente, the bell peppers and cabbage in it really put it o er the top with textures, it was also EXTRA spicy, and would have been amazing with steamed rice, and now that I know this I will always order rice with it. Vegetables get a 4/5. The crispy rolls take the cake as the best item we tried. The rolls are delightfully crispy, and the filling is savory and filling. I rate these a 5/5. Good place to get thai food. I always love chicken larb, so that's what I went with today. Good flavor, slightly sweeter than I'm used to, but not distractingly so. Also they include the perfect amount of greens to go along with it, not too much, not too little. But I did ask them to add a little bit of cabbage. I chose a spice rating of 3, because I heard that they are TRUE thai spicy and I didn't want to go with a 5 if i couldn't handle it. A 3 was definitely medium, but I could have bumped it up to a 4, so I'm glad I asked for extra chili powder on the side. Also ordered roti, which was much crispier here than I've had elsewhere, but it was also really good. And, as always, I finished with mangoes and sticky rice which was perfect. read more

I thought it was great and it was indeed homey. I wanted to go out for a casual meal and this was perfect. Ambience is nice and the staff was friendly. They forgot the protein in my curry by mistake and immediately replaced it. The only thing I would change is that the curry was slightly watery, but that could just be a style that I'm not familiar with because I don't know a lot about Thai food. For dine in, we ordered (rating on 0-10 scale): Fish Cake: 10/10 Larb Salad with ground meat: 5/10 ground meat was not of good quality and wasn't tender to eat. Flavor of the salad wasn't as great as other lamb salads I've tasted Crispy Trout: 9/10 Rad Na: 8/10 loved how they used the good sauce with actual small beans (Thai restos who actually use this are rare) for the sauce in this dish. Items were pad Thai, pad see ew, papaya salad, chicken satay, and a side of sticky rice and extra peanut sauce. One of the best things about Southeast Asian cuisine is the flavor and spices. Being of SE Asian descent, I'm not stranger to those bold flavors, the crispness of veggies and herbs, the umami component of fish sauce. Unfortunately, none of that was present in any of the dishes. The food tasted cooked and that was about it. Pad Thai had minimal tamarind, tang, salt, and sugar. Pad see ew just tasted like overcooked wide rice noodles - nothing but char flavor. The papaya salad was BLAND - no citrus, no fish sauce, zero flavor. Chicken satay was dry and flavorless, the peanut sauce barely did anything to accentuate the flavor. I couldn't believe that every dish was such a miss. All the positive reviews made me feel like I was making a good decision in selecting takeout from this local spot and I'm all about supporting mom & pop businesses, which makes this review unpleasant to write; however, I certainly hope my experience was simply a result of an "off" night. read more

Homey Thai Bistro is our local Thai spot, they offer great tasting food at fair prices. We were super excited when we saw this place open after a long lasting Chinese restaurant closed down during the pandemic. Then owner is super nice, the staff is so friendly and the ambiance is very warm. We tend to order takeout, love their curry dishes and drunken noodles. Haven't ate at the restaurant yet, but the customers are always looking happy. The lunch specials are amazing, my wife and I like to order them during a work weekday as a treat. After a long day of shopping in Concord, we decided to stop by to get some take out. There's plenty of parking outside this small mom and pop restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly waiter. They have a extensive menu. We ordered the Fish Cakes, Chicken Satay, Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, Pan Woon Sen, BBQ Pork, Pork With Mixed Veggies. The waiter told us that it will be a 15 to 20 minutes wait. We waited for about 40 minutes for our order. The order of fish cakes came with four fish cakes. The menu stated order comes with eight pieces, which was misleading. They were cut in half and I guess that's what they considered eight pieces. The peanut sauce went well with the Chicken Satay. The Bbq Pork was tender and flavorful. The sauce for the Pad Thai was pretty good, which we can taste the tamarind in it. The Pineapple Fried Rice, Pad Woon Sen, and the Pork with Mixed Veggies were ok. There weren't anything special about these entrees. The prices are fairly reasonable and they're generous with the portions. We'll be back to dine in when we're in this area. read more

It's not often that you have such a great experience via DoorDash that you're inspired to head to the yelp page to leave a review, but here we are. I dashed, it arrived HOT. Looking forward to dining in sometime. Now to the food though; I was craving khao mun gai. It's a comfort food and I haven't found anything near what I can get in Thai town, until now. Khao mun gai is essentially boiled chicken over garlic rice with broth and a tamarind sauce. It's so simple but so flavorful and satisfying! This is a dish I couldn't stop eating until it was gone. And I'm saving the rest of the broth to eat over rice tomorrow! We also got the beef pad se ewe which is a go to for us anywhere and this was probably the best version I've ever had. I would consider it a hole in the wall (which makes it even better), when we got there it was empty with only having two customers. We were intriguedby the menu having tom yum fried rice, so we ordered tom kha soup instead of tom yum as we want to try tom yum fried rice. The quality is fresh just cooked vegetables eggplant, bamboo shoot and bell pepper. It was delicious! For an additional charge brown rice, sticky or garlic rice can be substituted. Many tables in the one dining room with plenty of room to maneuver in between them. Got noisy as more folks sat down to eat but never too too loud. I love this place. I just went for the first time with a group of friends. We ordered a lot of different dishes and they were all delicious. We each picked our favorite dish and we all pretty much chose a different dish. Our waiter was amazing. I wish I remembered his name.
