While I've ordered from Mendocino Farms a few times through Doordash, this was the first time I'd visited in person. Because my orders always take super long to be delivered I was prepared to wait a bit, but my 'make your own' came out quickly. That being said I think they'd benefit from 1-2 order kiosk tablets instead of a cashier, but otherwise the service was helpful and prompt and I was able to grab my takeaway and eat on the patio. While it was super cute that some of the booths are made of faux grass I liked that they had normal seating available and the seats outside were comfortable as well. All in all, my in person experience was much better than the hour plus I usually wait to get my order through the apps (which sometimes are missing dressing), so I'll definitely come in person from now on. read more

Four of us came there for the first time . Three got the BLT . All three were disappointed ! The bread was very thick , so was the tomato. The tomato must have been 3/4 of an inch thick . And all we're saying, where's the bacon? It was mostly bread and tomato. The bacon was so thin it was see thru. I noticed some limited time salad bowl options on their website and decided to try one. I went with the Golden State Cobb salad, which is a straightforward Cobb style salad with mixed greens, bacon, avocado, hard boiled egg, blue cheese, tomatoes, and pickled red onions. You can add extra protein, and so I added chicken. The chicken looked kind of pale and bland at first, but it actually worked very well with the salad and the dressing, and it was surprisingly tender. Overall, the salad was pretty filling, used fresh ingredients, and stayed close to the classic Cobb formula. I also liked that the salad and dressing were packaged separately, which made it easy to control how much dressing I used. Flavor wise, everything felt well balanced, and the combination of bacon and blue cheese stood out to me in a good way. It was very enjoyable. We also tried three cookies: chocolate chip, gingerbread, and snickerdoodle. The gingerbread and snickerdoodle cookies were both fantastic, thick with slightly soft centers. The chocolate chip cookie, however, was not great. It was dry, the chocolate chip really wasn't giving anything, and overall it was hugely disappointing. I would skip that one next time. read more

Dining at the location is a mid level experience. It's definitely set up for take out and delivery. The turkey sandwich was good. The goat salad had unripe pears and too much dressing. My friends and I went here for dinner on a Saturday evening around 5pm - it wasn't too busy, a decent amount of the seats were filled. There was a line but the wait wasn't super long (they only had one person at the cashier but they eventually opened another one for us). I ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad and was a bit unsure that I would enjoy it, but this salad exceeded my expectations! Each bite was flavorful, especially with the dressing that was given. I'm not a huge fan of beansprouts but I finished the whole salad (split into two different meals) because it mixed that well together. The only downside was that the bigger pieces of chicken I ate were a bit dry. I also think you should ask for an extra order of the miso mustard for your salad if you're a dressing person cause one container was definitely not enough for me! I also ordered their pineapple tajin lemonade and probably would just get water or bottled sparkling water in the future. The drink was good for the first few sips, but it quickly became too sweet and repetitive for me. It turned out this was great for me with my low carb requirement as they had seven salads to choose from! And these were not your boring typical salads made up 90% of lettuce, but interesting varieties. I had the Thai Mango Salad, which was delicious and quite filling; other than the croutons that looked a little too worm-like it was great. And it included chicken without the $2.99 surcharge on some of the salads. They also have a variety of sandwiches: my wife had the Chicken Pesto Caprese which she loved.
