I took it to the store today and Robbie took an entire set of tuning pegs off a broken headstock and replaced the three tuners. Considering the circumstances, I applaud Robbie for his assistance and professionalism. Now, the bad. I called multiple times and sent an email hoping to resolve this problem without having to go to their physical store location (this is why I ordered online). Unable to speak with anyone, I felt it necessary to to go to their physical location. I asked Robbie if there was some way he could compensate me for my time and trouble. He declined saying that he could not authorize any compensation. My expectation would have been a free t-shirt, or maybe a set of strings, perhaps a few guitar picks, a discount on a future purchase - a small item of nominal value to their organization to keep a customer happy. Meh, it didn't happen. Probably won't do business here again. Oh, as an aside, this store is not open Saturday or Sunday...that makes it difficult for me to make it to this location during the week with traffic and where I work. They did not, but their other store on Russel here in Vegas had some. He told me they cost $46.00. I drove over to pick one up and a few more items. I asked the short, chubby darkskin counter guy about the breaker, and I gave him a short list of materials. He told me it was going to cost me $368.00 for the material. I sat there waiting for him to go and pull the material. In my head, I was thinking the total cost should be close to $200.00. The biggest item I had on the list was 100' of 3/4" flex and the breaker. He walked back to ask me again about an item on the list. I asked him if he could show me the invoice for the material so I could see what he was charging me. He wouldn't give me the invoice, he asked me what I wanted to know the cost of. I asked him what he was charging me for the breaker and the flex. He told me $156.00 for the 2-pole breaker and $146.00 for the flex. I called your other store, and they told me the cost was $46.00. I have to charge you what it says on the screen. He didn't even ask if the price was right; he said the other stores can charge less, but he needs to charge me what it says on the screen. I know he was high on the flex too. Let me pull the rest of the material, and he walked away to pull the material, and I just walked out of the store. I called Codale and asked them if they had the 2-pole bolt-on breaker, and they did, and the cost was $51.00. WTF is wrong with CES on Russell? I get to Codale, and some of the counter guys recognized me bc I've been in the trade for over 30 yrs in Vegas. I gave them the same list, and they dropped the price to $45.00 for the breaker and $105.00 for the flex. Total cost came out to $211.00.. CES WANTED $368.00 No thanks, CES. Train your rookies working the counter. His customer service skills are weak.
