Ordered delivery through door dash. Everything was excellent. Down to following directions and preparing it exactly how I like. Cut to perfection. Nigiri was fresh and the roll was well balanced. Thank you! Would def order again.

Rainbow roll+ sushi 4pc with miso
    Olivia S.

Ordered myself a Postmates delivery. Got a rainbow roll + 4 piece sushi w/ miso soup combo. With a coupon my order came out to be $30, pretty good deal. I added jalapeños to the roll for a buck extra. The miso was delicious, the rainbow was great. The only complaint I have is that the salmon was firm and chewy. I'm used to buttery and soft salmon nigiri and this felt like I was chewing on a tendon. Both the salmon on top of the rainbow and the nigiri had the same chewy and firm texture. Overall, good experience, salmon may have been a miss but this is a great lunch deal.

Lunch Bento Special until 3pm with Bulgogi Beef, miso soup, side salad, gyoza and choice of sushi, spicy tuna roll - $18
    Deanne L.

Recently enjoyed their Lunch Bento Special that's served until 3pm. I chose the Bulgogi Beef and Spicy Tuna roll while the miso soup, 2 pcs of gyoza, side salad, and rice were also included. For $18 I thought it was a good deal and I left satisfied. The bulgogi beef was cooked nicely and tasted great. Washed down everything with the warm miso soup. The sushi, gyoza, and salad, although not the best in the world, I thought it was acceptable for the lunch deal. Service was super nice and quick.

How did you make it?? Amazing taste !! I will be back soon. Very clean place

So so delicious really fresh sushi !! Strong recommend.. This Hana sushi owner always use fresh fish. Here is my favorite restaurant you should be here

Pretty decent sushi spot. Seems to be more for the locals that reside in this area. The tuna and salmon rolls were basic but delicious.

Pretty cozy Korean owned Japanese restaurant in Poway. Their fish quality is not bad for the price. Sushi, roll and nigiri selection is big. Service is friendly and attentive. Good choice when graving for rolls and sushi with a family style dining vibe.

Fish was not high quality. Some fish was fishy not buttery (tuna, albacore, halibut). The service was subpar. The bakes mussels are okay a lot of imitation krab, took a while to bake. Almost all of the specialty rolls have imitation krab.

My boyfriend's and I go to spot. Always clean, and the service is always amazing. All the workers are super attentive and the younger gentleman is super efficient. We always get the lemon roll and Hawaiian poke roll which have never failed us. Everything taste so fresh, and their wasabi really brings out the flavors in the roll!

I was running some errands in Carmel Mountain and was craving some sushi. Sushi Hana was the most affordable option and had a good variety of rolls. To my surprise the fish quality and size of the rolls were great. I usually order 2 rolls from sushi places and they don't usually fill me up but I could barely finish these rolls. I ordered on the phone and showed up within 15 minutes and it was already done. The service was fast, prices were good. It's also in a very busy plaza. I will definitely come back here again and dine in.

    Siu M.

First time here, getting some to-go for one. Ordered the sushi/sashimi combo (comes with miso soup and salad), takoyaki, and hawaiian poke roll. Fresh fish, good sushi rice. The only thing really was that the miso soup did not have tofu in it at all. Takoyaki tastes ok. Price-reasonable Staff was extra friendly and efficient. Got my order in 20 minutes as quoted. The atmosphere is quiet and classy. Lots of tables. Plenty of parking. Would definitely try dining in next time.

I haven't left a review less than 3 stars in a while...but I gotta for this. Ordered from here last night and the sushi was definitely NOT FRESH. I tasted & smelled something off in the first few bites but ignored it. It was definitely either the snow crab or the avocado but I'm leaning towards the snow crab. I literally immediately had to go to the bathroom about 20 minutes after eating my sushi. My stomach was suffering! Sorry, TMI I know. Also as other reviews mentioned, they didn't even provide soy sauce packets when I ordered from DD. Luckily, I had some in our fridge. I ordered the crunch roll because it was the #1 most liked item from this restaurant on DD. They weren't kidding when they say "crunch" -- my sushi roll was buried under all the tempura flakes LOL. After feeling sick, I had to toss the rest of my food away (probably had like 4 pieces of the sushi roll left). What I ordered; - snow crab hand roll - shrimp tempura hand roll - crunch roll - edamame

The servers are also very kind and attentive. We ordered the gato special roll (shrimp tempura and spicy tuna with seared wagyu on top) and truffle yellowtail roll (snow crab, yellowtail, and truffle), which were both quite delicious! The truffle complemented the yellowtail and the snow crab nicely. I would definitely consider coming back and recommend checking this place out!

Hiya B.U.M.S.,…read more Looking for a convenient, family-friendly bite right after catching a flick at the theatre next door? Sushi Gato in Carmel Mountain is an awesome stop. We've visited several times and usually have a 4-star experience, but on our most recent trip, it lands at a solid 3 out of 5 stars, which is not a bad thing at all. Here's the breakdown of our experience: The highlight of our visit was the service. We were greeted and seated in a speedy and professional fashion, which was huge since we'd built up a pretty good snack-sized appetite after a long movie (a little too early for a full dinner!). The overall vibe remains very family-friendly. Our Food: Salmon Roll: Very nice bite-sized pieces; officially earned a "yummy" stamp of approval from our son. Agedashi Tofu: Really good flavor, served with the sauce on the side. Tempura Udon & Assorted Tempura: The udon was another "yum" for our boy, and the individual tempura pieces had that classic, crisp crunch you expect. Chicken Teriyaki Bento Plate: Served with tempura, salad, and miso soup. The salad and tempura were standard, and the miso tasted original--a splash of soy sauce added just the right kick. Chicken Katsu Roll: The one downside of the meal--the katsu was a bit dry, and the roll didn't hold together well (more of a chop than a structured roll). Tips: Time It Right. Perfect spot for an early evening "pre-dinner" snack right after an afternoon matinee next door. Dip & Sauce Customization. If you order items with sauce on the side (like the Agedashi Tofu), feel free to ask for extra sauce upfront if you like your tofu well-coated. Service: We were welcomed as soon as we arrived. Everyone was very nice and very attentive. We ordered 4 items: orange ginza roll, una don, inari and the annin dofu dessert Orange ginza: oh yeah!! I usually hesitate getting citrusy rolls because they end up tasting the same as any other place or the citrus part over powers everything, but this was unique and the flavors balanced each other out. Tempura was also nice and crispy. Also love that they used lemon zest(?). Would order again. Una don: Their sauce for this is SO good and the unagi was cooked perfectly. Would order again. Inari set. I LOVE tofu and you don't see inaris in SD. We were very happy with this. Would order again. Annin dofu - this one was unique. Very almond heavy (not a bad thing). This is the only item I wouldn't get again. The tofu was tasty but I think a lot was going on with this dessert. There was a lot of texture, flavors, and color Not sure if this is normal for this dessert lots going on. there were mochi bits, tofu, matcha sauce, granola, raisins, dried strawberries(?). Fun to look at and try but kind of a lot going on. Overall: Would definitely come back. I do hope they get more employees though because I can see this place getting packed and needing more staff!

I know my husband loves a restaurant when he wants to keep going back every week, possibly more than once a week if we would let him. Plenty of parking outside, and handicap accessible spaces located relatively close to the entrance. The interior of the restaurant is bright and clean. There are booths along the window walls, tables and chairs in the center, and we sat to the right of the entrance at a table along the wall with booth/chairs. There is a small seating area outdoors if you prefer. Like many pho restaurants, service was quick. We were lucky to arrive before it got busy. Our server was new, so he had to ask his colleague how to input a few special requests into the tablet, but we didn't mind. I was a big fan of the big bone pho and the yellow tail. Calamari was hot and crispy. Yakisoba was a nice change of pace. We are definitely going to incorporate Bamboo Pho & Sushi into our rotation of places to dine. It's also nice to have a pho restaurant to bring friends and relatives who live north of us. We can meet there instead of having them drive farther south or us having to drive farther north Accessibility notes: I mentioned the handicap parking being relatively close to the entrance. No steps to enter the restaurant. Plenty of tables with chairs that can be removed as needed. Table spacing was good. I was concerned about the pathway to the restrooms which are in the far back past the sushi counter, kitchen area, and drink prep area. To get to the bathroom, the kitchen wall creates a hallway with the exterior window wall, and just where it narrows, a cart for used dishes and trash is stored there. There is also a drink fridge placed near there. Moving the cart would be necessary for a wheelchair or walker to pass through. I happened to be using my cane that day, but I still had to side-step a bit.
