Friday night with friends. Vince is a great bartender and very attentive. Told him I wanted something sweet to drink and he did his magic and made a watermelon drink that was delicious. We ordered food and it was good. Kitchen was a bit backed up and we didn't get our food all at the same time. Overall it was a great experience

This esteemed family establishment is absolutely incredible. the food is amazing. The flavor of the rainbow trout with almond was something I have never had before. The portions are perfect as well. I love having a meal that I know will be filling but also not too much, this cozy place fit the expectations for that. We will be back for sure! Also!! For those who love a good paranormal place, this location is perfect!! Gertrude is still there! If the owner or manager reads this please give me your @ for IG I would love to give you a shoutout!! First these 2 stars really must be put in context relative to the price, if we were paying burger…read moreKing prices this would be three stars easy. Crusty rolls? No, spongy bagged rolls. French onion soup wasn't bad, too much Worcestershire and bread, but cheese crust was nicely broiled. Clams casino dressing had good flavor but almost a liquid texture under the broiled layer. The prime chateaubriand was not carved table side as per the website, was sliced very thin and put on a metal platter, arriving at the table evenly gray brown (ordered medium doneness). Luckily it was only well done on one side of the thin piece, likely because they did not roast or charbroil the beef to order but sliced it off a larger pre cooked piece and then reheated it, so one side of a very thin slice is well done the other is medium, also definitely not 18oz per the paper menu. Side of sauteed onions had zero color or salt. The roasted broccoli, mushrooms and cauliflower were good, only slightly overcooked. The tiniest baked potato was good as long as you don't want like a steakhouse experience with crisp salty skin, this was more mushy, wet and without salt. The scallops were very slightly undercooked, minor point. The soft drinks are served nice and warm in the can with a small glass of ice that instantly melts so you get one glass of watery pepsi and chase it with a nice warm glass. Want sour cream with your potato, they got plenty of warm single serve plastic daisy packets which is nice. The carrot cake wasn't bad. Chocolate Ganache cake was okay understanding the base chocolate used for the ganache was either old or just of poor quality, the chocolate sauce was plain Hershey syrup. Staff were neutral, not bad, bur definitely not offering to refill empty drinks. Ambiance was gorgeous! Parking has was plentiful with easy access. So if you like a very cozy and intimate atmosphere with rewarmed beef, warm canned pepsi products, warm plastic packets of sour cream and a have strong fear of salt and baking potatoes larger than your index finger, give The Johnson House a try!

I've had this place saved for the longest time and was waiting until I'm in the area to dine here…read more Finally made it and I'm so glad I tried it. First off, women-owned café? You go girls I love it. Came here for dinner and had a hard time choosing what to order as there are so many good options on the menu. Really wanted the calamari & shrimp appetizer but opted in for the shrimp bucket and the fish and chips. I also got a coconut mango drink which was super refreshing and delicious. I thought the fish tacos had a kick of spice added but they were still good. The fries were crispy, which I loved but the highlight for me has to be the shrimp. I loveeeeed the sea salt sauce. Though I usually don't like corn, I loved this one and enjoyed the meal. Would come back here for more for sure!

They double has a cafe. I love the decor! Very open, spacious, dark in a nice way, with a gorgeous sign at the back center wall. Staff are friendly and quick to check on you. The food was ok! I wouldn't say it was my favorite, and I wasn't quite blown away with anything. I would come back for certain things though. Starting off with the salad, the dressing had a texture and taste that I can only tell you was not made fresh in house. It had that sort of translucent quality to it that reminds me of bottled sauce. Portion was good, but I wish they would toss it for you. The bowl is full of salad and they drizzle the dressing on top. It's a thick dressing that's pretty hard to toss in the bowl. It's a minor thing but honestly would be a much better dining experience. Also if they just made their own ceasar dressing. The seafood boil was also meh. I got half pound mussels with Cajun sauce. It comes on a platter with rice, potatoes and corn. I felt that it would be nice if you could pick your own sides, like at other seafood boils. The potatoes had no flavor inside them and the corn was really starchy and rough, with no corn flavor. It was a bit off putting. The sauce was ok, but I think they use too much seasoning powder, or over cooked the garlic because it was leaving a bitter flavor behind. I didn't love it by the third bite. The fish and chips were probably the best of what we ordered. It's the Costco fries texture which I love!!! Plus the fish is cooked well. The batter is very light and crispy. Total perfection! So yeh!! I would highly recommend the fish and chips, but I would probably skip the boil here.
