Before you keep reading schedule an appointment. Seriously this place is BIZZ-E. I still jump around because I like different things about some local spots and since moving to Whittier I haven't found one place I Great artistry goes into their designs. There's only 3 manicurist that are very good. I can show them a Pinterest picture and they nail it (pun intended). Pedicures are my least favorite thing here, chairs/bowls style are awkward. I prefer a pedicure with a nice bowl built into the chair. In my opinion they don't do a great job removing enough dead/callus skin. They could be better at taking out ingrown's. They are operating by appointment only at this time. They are taking all COVID precautions. Upon walking in they take your temperature and make you sanitize your hands before signing in. They limit the people in the waiting area, provide chairs outside and ask people to wait in the car to limit the amount of people inside. Of course masks are required and they sanitize between each customer. They put up plastic barriers and now accept contactless payments as well. I felt very safe with all of these precautions. I've been searching yelp all weekend for somewhere to get my nails done and I was going a nail salon at the whittwood that had its fair share of bad reviews and then I noticed this place and I decided to try it knowing nothing about it and I'm SO glad I didn't look it up on yelp before I came or else I wouldn't have gone. I have been a regular client here since around the time that they just opened about 6-7 years ago and I can guarantee that you get a great experience with beautiful nails everytime! The wait is sometimes long but that's just bc it's a good nail salon and everyone wants to get their nails done here, but if you don't want to wait then always book an appointment beforehand!!!! The ladies are very nice and professional and the nails come out beautiful everytime despite constantly have to deal with rude customers but handle them well so kudos to them! I don't even know where to begin with 3D Bella, I've had my ups and my downs with this nail salon, been a customer for about 6 years. When I first starting coming to this joint my acrylic nails were done so nicely by Vivian, she was my to go to girl for nails. She knew what I wanted and has vision when it comes to nail art. Angie is also great with acrylic nails, Hazel is great with manicures, she takes her time and is passionate about her work and my mani last more than 3 weeks! The other nail techs are all horrible. I've tried all the techs there because it's true with wait time. I could be waiting for hours when it comes getting attended by the GREAT NAIL TECHS. ( there's only a great few there.) Very expensive here and it's another fact that they are NOT very KEEN on customer service. Milan can be a little cold and distance. She has been great to me, she has but she can be short with me at times and it's like a love/hate with her work. I've loved her work but other times she's worked on me rushed. There's no in between with them. I've had work that's lasted and other work that I was disappointed with since I paid so much money. I've been a loyal customer with them since day 1, I always go back because I like to support my local areas BUT they don't always have do the best work. My last experience got me really bothered. I asked if i could look at their jewelry box to see what type of gems/starts/pearls/ etc because I was not sure what I wanted on my nails. They seemed to get annoyed by the fact that I wasn't too sure what gems I wanted, that made me want to not want to get my nails done there again. Rude and lacking customer service. Very disapointed, for as long as ive been coming here.. I came in yesterday for a fill/ped and the girl that did my nails did them very thin I even mentioned there very thin. she said they look natural as l i agreed but I still felt they were to thin. So i go home and of course one chips at the tip. Worst service ever at a nail salon!!!! First time here, and better believe it was my last! So I get here about 3:45p on a Sunday. I walk in and all of the nail techs are working on clients and there are about 3 ladies waiting to be serviced. Usually I don't let that deter me because the most you typically wait is about 30 minutes. So no biggie! I signed my name on the sign in sheet. Two other ladies (regular clients ) walked in after me. The ladies that were waiting before me, were called to be seated, about a couple of minutes after each other. This time, its about 4:15p. Then there was a long waiting period. At 4:45p, the nail tech took the 2 ladies that walked in after me. What the f...Now I know they are regulars and all, but this is some straight bull. And I know they didn't have an appointment because one of the ladies asked a particular nail tech if she could do her nails. Mind you, other techs were finished. Just walking around and ish. They could have "checked" on me by asking if I wanted any water (all the other ladies had the same water bottles so I know it was offered by the salon) or at least just make me feel reassured by saying "we will get right to you in 10 minutes or whatever". But nope, they didn't do that. So at 5p I said "Excuse me (to the nail tech that was working on another client in front of me)". She just ignored me, so I said "HELLO!!!!", she looks up but another tech in the back of the salon acknowledges my hello. "How much longer do I have to wait?" She looks around, "oh about 20-25 minutes. Can you wait?" "No, I've waited long enough. Way too long. This is ridiculous!" So waiting 2 hours and I would have finally got seated?!?! Heck no! So I left! TO THE OWNER/MANAGER/NAIL TECHS OF THIS SALON: "You need to be more mindful of all of your clients, especially of your new clients. It would be nice to let the client know what time they are expecting to have to wait. Regular clients or not, treat ALL clients fairly. Follow the order of the sign in sheet. read more

Never in my life have I walked out in the middle of an appointment. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE ACRYLIC NAILS! Yes I am very picky about my nails. I do a ton of research and look through hundreds and hundreds of pictures before deciding to go to a nail salon. I noticed a lot of people reviewed on having to wait a long time. I personally don't mind waiting. At 3D nail salons, it's pretty hard to predict timing because of how crazy the designs can get so at most places you will have to wait. However!! This review is on the actual skill and quality! *Arrived at 1:30** Asked for narrow or "coffin" nails in nude with crystals. She glued on the tips and trimmed them. Then used a nail clipper to make the the tips more narrow. Which btw is never good because the tips tend to invert and curve awkwardly. After clipping, I told her they were too skinny. They looked borderline stiletto nails. Not what I wanted. She told me to wait and see til she applied the accrylic. I already knew it was gonna be all bad at that point. Keep in mind, I was still super nice the entire time because I really don't like my nail tech getting nervous. But man! I felt like Angela Johnson or something... ME: They still look too skinny. HER: You just think that but that's how they're supposed to be. ME: Really? But I get these nails all the time HER: Oh. ME: Um these nails are veering to one side. HER: No honey that's your nails go like that. ME: They never "went like that" before. HER: Okay I try to fix it but that's your nails go like that. ME: They left side is way skinnier than the other. HER: No honey that's your nail bed. Smaller on one hand. ME: But my nail beds were never smaller on one hand before. HER: Okay want me to make shorter so not very narrow on this side? ME: Well I would like them to be the same. She filed and buffed. But OMG! All crooked and uneven and super thick!! Even after so much buffing! *It is now 3:30!** TWO HOURS LATER and she still hasn't applied the color. I just missed lunch with my in-laws. Thanks a lot! She found my color and I told her I'd just pay and I'd be on my way. ME: They need to be fixed. Is there anyone who could do that for me tmrw? HER: No I'm the only one who does acrylic. Great! I feel completely robbed. Drove 30 minutes both ways to waste $30 and 2 hours in the salon to walk out with unfinished ugly nails. Now I have to spend more money to go elsewhere to get them taken off plus a new set?! I'm so sad! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS NAIL SALON. I'll post pics so you can see for yourself! read more

My rating is closer to a 4.5 and here's why. This shop opened up about a month ago. I needed to get my nails done and it had to be done early in the morning. They opened at 9:30 so I went in. I dont remember any of the nail techs' names, but the first one who I believe is one of the owners, was a sweetheart. She asked me if I would consider the gel manicure and said it would last 2 weeks and I could continue to wash dishes, etc. I'd heard about it, so I said, sure why not. The price seemed reasonable at $22. I also got a pedicure. I will warn you that this place does not use spa tubs for the pedicures but they do have the massage chairs. They don't use the spa tubs in order to minimize the risk of infection from not properly sanitizing and cleaning the tubs. The young lady who did my pedicure was very careful but I little too slow for my taste. It took a total of almost 90 minutes just for the pedicure and I didnt' get a sugar scrub, and I didn't have any bunions or corns that needed to be treated/dealt with. The gel manicure was great! It definitely lasted me a little over 2 weeks before I realized I needed to go back. The pedicure lasted about 2 weeks. I also got 3-D nail art which lasted almost a full 3 weeks. Everyone who saw my nails complimented me on the originality of the design :) Customer Service: 5 Star Quality: 5 Star Speed: 3-4 Star Price: 5 Star Great little place. I stood in front to let them know I was a new customer and waited for them to ask what I needed but that never happened. I sat down after a minute or so as they were not too busy. After several minutes, I finally got someone's attention and asked if I needed to sign in and she said yes. Soo I was searching nail salons on yelp and this one came up with 5 stars. It said that it had just recently opened so I went in to try it. When I walked in the ladies were nice and asked what I wanted and I told them I wanted a new full set. They ended up convincing me to get a pedicure too. They had SO many color options for gel nails. I got Red Gel, then Glitter Gel, and finally a top coat of Gel. It came out to look really nice. I loooove it. I'm very particular on how I like my nails. Sometimes the tips don't cover my whole nail because they didn't go up a size to fit me. When I went to Nails Studio on Beach by 24hr fitness I told the man that was doing my full set that I didn't like gaps and he made it looked like he moved up a size but he didn't and the nail tips were already on. However I told the lady here that I don't like gaps and she smiled and nodded. This is the first place I've come to where they fit the nail tips to you perfectly. Otherwise you end up with your natural nail showing on the side and it just looks funny. The lady that did my feet I think her name was Jasmine? Not sure. Anyway she did a fantastic job as well. She didn't cut me or anything so that was good and she was really gentle and not rough like some pedicurists can be. Two other ladies did my sisters nails and feet. She did the Mani/Pedi combo which I believe is $24? Her nails came out nice and they didn't cut her either. She was satisfied as well. All in all I will definitely be coming back here.
