Man...talk about coming through in a pinch. Matthew and Victor are superheroes that came through for me on the Friday before SuperBowl Weekend 2020. I'm a very coordinated guy, but the Thursday night before I had a moment of clumsiness and the Blueberry Smoothie that I was about to enjoy slipped away from me and splattered in front of my sofa in the living room. Yes, you read right...BLUEBERRY! No chance that that catastrophe was coming out. So mad at myself for not being able to prevent/avoid the disaster, I started doing as much cleanup as possible. With phone in hand, I launched the Yelp! app and did a search for carpet cleaning with emphasis on the 'Open Now' filter. 3H Hygenix was at the top of the list, so I got in touch with Matthew right away. Fortunately, he had an open morning spot at 9:30, which I took right away. After explaining the situation and giving him a brief description of the issue, Matthew said he would do his best to combat the staining powers of blueberry. While I was glad to get an appointment for the following morning, I was still worried. Damn you, Mark, for being so clumsy. And damn you, blueberries, for torturing me throughout the evening! You know how women are. We seem to be high maintenance, but in actuality we're really not. We just like what we like, & want what we want. And we want to be happy...all the time. And when exactly are women happiest? That's easy... Whenever our significant other says "I love you." After we've had our hair done. Ditto for nails. And, after our home has been cleaned. Naturally. They did "high cleaning" (dusting every high surface, including the ceiling molding), removed all the books on the bookshelf, & the worst...the inaccessible, 2nd floor bathroom windows...which desperately needed it. They also cleaned the upholstered living room chairs w a fantastic contraption I'd love to own but have no room for. But most impressive; Matt really went the extra 10 miles. He was dissatisfied w the initial window cleaning, so he actually made a quick trip to the hardware store for a product he thought would really do the trick. It did. I own a women's fitness studio here in the city, and of course my floors get a lot of foot traffic due to the classes and other events. WOW! I would give Matthew and 3H Hygenix a million stars if I could. My wife and I have two rental units in Esprit Park, which we have usually cleaned ourselves after tenants moved out. However, in attempting to clean one of the units last month, we realized that the hardwood floors have 5 years of accumulated dirt, and the walls showed several years of scruff marks and typical wear. At the suggestion of the new tenant, we hired 3H Hygenix. The result was fabulous. They scrubbed the floors (yes, by hand) until they looked like new. The repainted the walls, and those now look perfect. Based on this experience, we hired 3H for a second unit in Esprit Park, which had been our own home. Four Stanford students lived in it for 3 months over the summer. They left the place trashed. Matthew and his crew first hauled out over 300 pounds of trash, as well as several pieces of broken furniture (it was rented as a furnished unit). The crew of 4 then spent about 8 hours cleaning the 1500 sq ft, three floor unit. This included cleaning pans with deeply burnt grease, a grill with so much grease that it posed a fired hazard on its own, and tubs and showers that appeared to have been used to bathe barn animals. The result was amazing - restoring our old home in San Francisco into a luxury furnished rental. Matthew and his team are 100% professional, courteous, and unbelievably competent. I want to start off by saying I'm not really a blogger/reviewer type of guy I'm pretty old school when it comes to these things. So if I liked or didn't like you..... My personal take on him is, an honest man just trying to make a living. I have a nack for sniffing out the money hungry people trying to suck every penny from you! Trust me I know, I'm a maintenance man for Larkin street youth, a non profit organization that help the homeless youth get off the streets and I deal with all types of different companies and vendors and Matt and his 3H crew do it all. Or at least almost all, we have multiple projects in play right now from cleaning/unit turnovers to cabinet work, sub floor replacements just about everything maintenance/construction related small jobs like cleaning a small bathroom to replacing a whole sub floor and full carpeting just to many to name. HIRE 3H - BEST THING WE HAVE DONE! My husband hired Matthew and his crew at 3H to do a serious deep clean in a kitchen which had not been deep cleaned for DECADES (the job was bid as: "Wall, cabinet ceiling degreasing; detail cleaning of shelves and inside cabinets. Cleaning of pest/rodent droppings. Includes all cleaning supplies and materials.") and he will review this job separately (it was FANTASTIC - they basically took every single item out of the kitchen and pantry, scoured the item, and cleaned the emptied rooms from the ceiling to the floor, then put everything back.) I am writing this review because in addition to the major deep kitchen clean, Matthew bailed me out when I unexpectedly could not scour the house prior to my husband returning to the house after surgery. I did not know who to call, and I knew that "regular" housecleaning is not 3H's normal gig, but on short notice out of kindness, Matthew and 2 of his crew came in and bombed through the house, dusted and damp wiped down every shelf and surface and bit of moulding (including germ killing specifically, and moving about a million knick-knacks), and vacuumed every remaining bit, ceilings to carpets, scoured both bathrooms and the kitchen surfaces. They basically flew through the house deep cleaning when I just could not get to it while my husband was in hospital. Matthew managed to squeeze this hardcore maintenance cleaning job into his schedule, and really saved my bacon, and at a great and reasonable price. The house went from impossibly not ready for someone to recover from surgery, to great and livable. In addition to a profound level of professionalism in cleaning, Matthew and his crew are flexible, nice and direct and just plain good at this. I am a professional pet sitter who started her business a few months ago from my own apartment and some K9 clients had left my room with a heavy stench of urine and dog fur all over a carpet that had not been cleaned for almost two years anyway. I told him what I needed and unlike all the previous calls (that told me I needed a minimum of $100-150 to get their services), he gave me a reasonable price for cleaning a single room and was flexible and available to book based on my schedule. Amazing customer service. I called to get my rug steam cleaned--I have a dog so it needed a good cleaning. I booked an appointment for mid-week. A few minutes later I received a call from them asking if I I had time that day since they finished a job near by. I wasn't home to make that work but the effort was appreciated. They came to clean the rug but it was too thin to clean at my home so they took the rug back with them and returned the rug the next day. I thought I was going to get an unexpected additional fee for picking up the rug but they waived it for me!! I did a good deed. An acquaintance lost his job and subsequently his housing so I let him live in my open unit that will still somewhat under repair. As we've been told about good deeds . . . he trashed the place. The bathroom had just been remodeled. When he was done living there, it looked like a gas station toilet in the middle of nowhere. The kitchen was coated in oil (was he boiling pots of oil as some sort of anti-cleansing ceremony?). Everything was filthy. 3H to the rescue! They scrubbed and cleaned. They sent in a team, each tackling a different area. They treated all the surfaces as they needed to treated rather than doing one size fits some (and destroys others). They were also very honest about what could not be corrected. (Pro tip, if you run the dishwasher with a bowl of popcorn in it, say goodbye to the dishwasher). 3H did an excellent job on the trashed apartment and on the one I had been living in.
