Me and my boyfriend have been living at a property managed by 3Keys for over a year now and have been so impressed with the support we receive from everyone we have interacted with at 3Keys - Patty, Wendee and Larry. First, Larry was kind enough to hold the apartment we were interested in for two weeks past the time they wanted to start renting at no charge. On top of that the apartment was such a fair price in Seattle standards. Lastly, when we locked ourselves out of our apartment they were responsive and able to assist us quickly. I wish I could give 0 or even -5 stars. I hired Larry for 2 years to take care of our brand new property (we stayed in the brand new home for 6 months only). We had to move out of state for jobs. First yr the tenant kept the trash outside.... bear broke our fence and came inside to sneak into the trash. I had to write to him seeing the pictures in FB. Second yr... another tenant stayed and we decided to sell our home right after the lease got over. Not sure which tenant caused the water damage. Larry never gave any inspection report after each tenant left . His contract did mention that he would. When we were about to sell the house he said that there was water damage in the 1st floor and had to change the entire flooring. He called my husband in between work and my husband accepted that he would share the cost for flooring repair. When I got the paper work, I asked Larry where was the inspection report after the tenant left. He had no answers. He talked to my husband / wrote to him alone about without involving me. Finally I lost my cool and said if I had to sign the title papers this guy has to send the inspection report else we will not share the flooring cost. I have paid him $300X24 months and I got this kind of service. Finally he was our agent to sell the house did talk to the buyer to het the flooring done by themselves. Of course he didn't want to loose his commission for $3000 flooring. Lesson learnt: 1. Never leave a brand new home out of state to be managed by any people. Instead sell it right away. 2. Make sure to ask for inspection reports after every tenant leaves. 3. Make sure you and partner are in same page else you will loose money. read more

We rented a house in Seattle for four years that was managed by 3 Keys. They really did a great job. They were always quick to respond to any questions and promptly repaired anything that came up. They were very fair with us. They gave us our full deposit back when we moved out. Overall we had a good experience renting the house they managed, I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a home to rent. read more

OMG!! This is the worst company to deal with. The owner Larry is just plain rude and just doesn't reply to emails. Any repairs take weeks to happen instead of hrs or days. I'd recommend you are better off paying extra than renting with this company. This is not an honest company at all!!!!! read more

I selected 3Keys Property Management to manage my townhouse rental in Seattle. Everything from the setup, payment schedules, requests for info, correspondence with tenants have been smooth and very professional. They notify me immediately with any maintenance items that come up and have their own handymans to fix the issue if we choose. They also do periodic checkups of the property to make sure it's being properly maintained and their rates are competitive. I am very happy I chose them to manage my property from the previous company I used, which was a very disappointing experience. I highly recommend 3Keys! read more

I rented a beautiful Condo from 3keys Property management in Klahanie, Issaquah. I almost rented my second condo from them when it came to moving time just because I wanted to stay under their management. Within the approximate year I was renting from 3Keys I created a wonderful relationship with both Larry and Patty. Both have warm and friendly personalities and always were easy to get ahold of and communicate back and forth with. anytime I had a problem with something in the unit it was fixed within 48 hours of reporting it. 3keys makes you feel safe and taken care of, I never felt as if I was being managed by a large company that didn't care about my needs as a Tenant. I was able to communicate back and forth with them constantly and they never made me feel like I was bugging them or asking for too much. The condo was large, updated and clean and the price was completely unbeatable. I started a new job the day I was supposed to move into the Condo, As a convenience Larry allowed me to move in two days before my set move in date so I could be all settled in before I started work. It was such a blessing and Larry allowed me to do it without any additional charges. When it came time for moving the process was so painless and stress free, they didn't treat me like other places I have experienced. Usually places try to keep a large portion of your security deposit, but I was able to get my full deposit back. Larry and Patty were not only friendly and professional which is to be expected, but they were just all around personable, caring, honest, and genuine people. I know I was renting from a company but the personal service made it feel like I was renting directly from the owner themselves. I would rent from them time and time again and if you're looking to rent from them as well you should be very excited because you are in great hands! Moved into the place and then the electricity would not work in most of the house the next day. Larry especially was sleazy and condescending. Here is an actual quote from him when we asked about compensation and help because the kitchen+ didn't have power for a month, "Can you imagine asking a car manufacturer to compensate you when your car breaks down?" That's right. He compared himself to a car company that sells you a vehicle that immediately breaks. Lots of illegal practices. House didn't even have smoke detectors and we discovered harmful mold. They wouldn't return calls and flat out ignored emails. The rental was under construction when we first saw it, and we thought it would be cleaned up before we moved in since we saw a professional cleaning fee listed in the paperwork. Nope. Filthy. Had to hire carpet cleaners myself and they identified mold and cat urine (we don't have a cat) in the carpet. The landlord was threatening, rude and unconcerned with our safety. I even waited to write this review because I worried they would withhold our security deposit as a grudge and try to fine us. read more

I was told by the neighbor across the street from me that he noticed several very tall trees leaning over toward my driveway and house with their roots coming out of the ground so I called my landscaper to evaluate the situation who told me that in his opinion, those trees are going to fall right into my drive way and take out my 2 vehicles and my 2 Harley Davidson's and perhaps the roof of my garage and home. Now being very concerned, I immediately texted the home owner in Oregon who has been renting to the occupants of her house in which she informed me to contact the property management company, 3 Keys Property Management. This is the company who is responsible for renting the house to a group of young adults who own 6 vehicles, 3 (one beat up "junker") of which are parked on the street in non-compliance with our Home Owners Association rules (nobody else parks on the street) and own 3 dogs which they keep in the garage all day continually barking and howling, even though there is an invisible fence which was installed by the owner. I called 3 Keys at (425) 449-5990 and informed the receiver of the situation and was told that they would send out a tree service to evaluate the situation. Days went by and I called again and was informed that they had to have the owner's approval before calling the tree service. I told them that the owner gave me approval to contact you about it and I would again let her know. A couple of days went by so I called again and this time I was told that a tree service did come out and assessed the potential threat of the trees falling and determined that there was no threat. By this time I had been told by several people that it appeared as though those trees would fall onto my property as soon as it was windy enough so I asked for the name of the tree service that made the assessment. I was told that she didn't know off hand but would get right back to me. Nobody did. I called the next day and was told the same thing, again, no return call. I called a day later and was told that Larry (the owner) was handling that and he would call me back but again, but no return call. I called the next day and asked to speak to Larry. After waiting on hold, Larry answered and I asked him which tree service evaluated the described situation because I was trying to absolve 3 Keys Property Mgmt of any liability if a tree service actually did come out in which he replied "listen, the owner will get back to you. Don't call here again understand!" and rudely hung up on me The home owner never did "get back to me". This is supposed to be a professional property management company?? In my opinion this is very poor and very rude customer service and it's not the only review complaining about Larry's rudeness! Guess who I'll be filing a law suit against when those trees damage my property?. read more

I rent a house from 3 Keys Property Management. The owner of 3 Keys is cheap and will argue about fixing anything. Just after I moved in, the washer wasn't working properly and 3 Keys told me that as long as it was functioning they would not get it fixed. I had to resort to threatening them with taking videos and sending them to the local news stations before they finally sent someone to repair the washer. The repairman told 3 Keys that he would have to replace the motor on the washer at a price that was above the price for a new washer. 3 Keys did finally ask the owner of the house to replace the washer. While we were arguing about the washer (and before I thought of taking the video), 3 Keys told me to move out multiple times even though I had just signed a lease. I told them that I would move out, but they would have to pay for all moving costs and they refused to do that. The garage door opener is now broken and I couldn't get into the house (I keep all of the doors and windows locked for safety and I had the chain on the front door). 3 Keys called a locksmith for me but refused to pay because it was my fault for putting the chain on the door. I am going to have to take them to small claims court to attempt to get my money back. Whatever you do, DON'T rent from 3 Keys. They are cheap and will not help you at all. I will move out of this property when my lease is up and will never rent from 3 Keys again. read more

I lived at a condo rented through 3 Keys from 8/14 - 3/15. Having rented for the last 7 years with various property managements and private owners I've had good experiences and not so good experiences. But, 3 Keys was without a doubt the best property management company I have ever rented from. A couple of small issues with a breaker occurred and they were on top of resolving it quickly and efficiently. Alas, a fire occurred in the condo next to mine and made ours uninhabitable. This is where 3 Keys really showed they cared about us as tenants. They were quick to offer a great transfer to another property they rented and when I decided it was too much of a commute they were still extremely supportive. No games were played, they simply returned our security deposit as quickly as possible so that we had it for a new location. I will never forget how kind they were through the whole situation. I without a doubt recommend them to anyone looking to rent in the area and I will certainly be looking at their listings when my new lease is up. read more

Our experience was very similar to one already posted here. I'm trying to look at things holistically and would have liked to have given at least 2 stars because they were responsive to maintenance/repair requests while we lived in their property. Now I realize it was probably because they were looking out for the owner's interests and their bottom line. We moved in to what was supposed to be a "clean" place, but ended up having to do much more cleaning than anticipated. If the last tenant paid the same cleaning deposit we did, they were ripped off. In our lease, we paid a cleaning fee and a pet deposit (totaling about $650) in ADDITION to a deposit equal to one month's rent. Upon move-out, they would not return our full deposit even though the house and yard were left in BETTER condition than they were when me moved in. Our move-out inspection with Patty, during which I asked several times about getting our deposit back, went well with her agreeing that everything was fine. Imagine the surprise when they only returned 2/3 of our deposit amount. Larry tried to argue about these things not being "an exact science," but apparently there was a "science" in how they arrived at that number. Well, the house was put on the market the NEXT DAY, and was described as "move-in ready." Seems a little fishy to me... I tried to negotiate with them before I pursued a small claims case, as this is just a time and energy suck for me, but they moved very little and Larry ended up contradicting himself (i.e. lied) about the information and conversations he apparently "had" with workers. I consulted an attorney and a realtor, providing copies of text and email exchanges as well as the sales flyer for the house, and am in the process of filing the claim. read more
