Decided to study here while waiting for a friend. The cashier was really friendly. When I ordered my chai tea latte (which was delicious), she suggested I use soy milk because it brings out the flavor. And she was so right! The store was a little full when I came in around 2:30pm so I sat by the window facing out, where they have an outlet and powerstrip available for use. It cleared out shortly afterwards and then was relatively empty for the rest of the time until I left at 7:30pm. They played nice music, some jazz, and some contemporary music while I was there. Got the Thai tea boba with easy milk.. tasted nothing like Thai tea just vanilla milk.. turns out they make it with vanilla flavored soy milk (which I've never seen anywhere else). First time here and we got one breakfast jalapeño bagel with egg, cheese, and sausage and one breakfast croissant with bacon, egg, and cheese. We were surprised to see two kinds of cheese which was lovely! The coffees we got were a dulce de leche with oat milk and a caramel macchiato with oat milk. Both were absolutely delicious!! You know when something happens to you medically and for a split second, there's this idea of changing your entire lifestyle to prevent it from happening again. After punching in chicken salad into the yelp app, 3rd Street Coffee came up first so for our usual thursday lunch we decide to make our way to downtown Downey. Small doesn't even come close to describing the dining area if you can even call it that but it somehow feels cozy. Ordering is easy. Scan menu on the wall. Tell cashier what you want. Pay for your order. Find a seat and wait for food. All in all, this place has a very mom and pop feel to it. I'm pretty sure if you frequent this spot enough, everyone will know you on a first name basis. What's for lunch? one famous chicken salad sandwich. one grilled chicken breast w/ bacon sandwich. We ordered 2 ice coffees and a breakfast croissant. We waited for 20 minutes before we got our coffees, and a little later they realized that they forgot our breakfast croissant. Long story short, we spent 30 minutes in a over crowded room with 9 other customers. Definitely no 6 feet distance between parties. What a rip off! Horrible customer service! Every time we come they can never get my wife's sandwich right. Literally charged me $11 for a sandwich with bread, lettuce, avocado and bacon. When I asked where were the egg whites I was told I needed to pay extra(which was fine). Even when I told them I would pay extra they never brought the egg whites out nor tried to make it right. My wife literally ate a bread can't even say a sandwich because it only had lettuce, avocado, and bacon. NOTHING was done to try and right their wrong. For sure the last time we'll be coming here. To the the customers reading this be sure to be very specific about how you would like your food because lesson learned with us, they will not make it right once they give you your food. I'm writing this because I support small businesses and we kept going back but this literally happens every time we go. This little coffee shop is great. I've come to the Studio Movie grill countless times and always wanted to go for a coffee but never pushed myself to go. Tonight after watching "The Rise of Skywalker" I finally went. What an extremely pleasant coffee shop. It's very cozy and welcoming. I love that their menu is very extensive. They have great Paninis, Café Sandwiches, Coffee, Iced Coffee's, Smoothies, Shakes and pastries. Overall a great place. I only have one complain and you need to know about it. The down side is that they don't give you water. I ordered a big order and asked for a cup of water on the side and they made me purchase a water bottle. That's it. read more

Pretty standard small, local coffee shop owned by a Korean couple. I spent a full day there from morning to late afternoon and there was a fairly steady stream of customers throughout the day but never was it totally crowded that you couldn't find a seat to sit at. Got the matcha green tea latte which was pretty standard but actually on the very sweet side which I didn't like. I enjoy the bitterness of matcha more with milk. For lunch I got the chicken chipotle panini. I appreciate the lady asking specifically which condiments and sauces I wanted on the panini to save me from having to pick out onions and pickles and wiping off the mustard sauce. The chicken, lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and the chipotle sauce definitely had a bit of a spicy kick to it which I liked. It was a little runny though so it would drip out of the sandwich - maybe making it a bit thicker or putting less on the sandwich would help. It was a nice place to spend the day doing work. Internet is actually pretty fast (thank you!) such that I was able to watch a slew of YouTube videos. There is only a strip of 10 outlets at the back bar chairs against the window so it would be nice if they could split it up so that more of the back bar had access to it. read more
