The…read morehouse-made schiacciata bread is incredible--crispy on the outside, light and airy on the inside--and every ingredient tastes fresh and high quality. You can tell a lot of care goes into every sandwich. I ordered the #3 L'Obbligato, and it was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. The combination of flavors was perfectly balanced, and the freshly sliced meats and house-made spreads really stood out. The staff was friendly, the service was efficient, and the historic location adds to the experience. Don't skip dessert--walking next door for gelato is the perfect way to finish your meal. A Mano Panino is the kind of place that makes you start planning your next visit before you've even finished eating. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Pensacola.

This tiny establishment is tucked away on the south side of the historic Sacred Heart hospital. There's a decent amount of parking on the street, which is good since this place is packed from open to close. There's no seating inside, but they offer outdoor seating with plenty of shade. You've got your choice of 12 sandwiches. That's it. You can't go wrong. I got a prosciutto sandwich and it did not disappoint. I recommend you go and try every sandwich. Close your eyes and just pick or roll the dice, you'll be a winner no matter what you end up eating. Service is good, but you'll wait around 20-25 minutes for your sandwich to be made. Be patient, it's worth the wait.

The place is a meat lover's daydream--goat, Wagyu beef, turkey, and more cuts of steak and chicken than you can shake a cast-iron skillet at. And the best part? Prices that don't make you wince on the way to the register. We sampled our way through like it was our civic duty, and every bite backed up the hype. The Italian cotechino sausage ended up pulling double duty--first in a pot of collard greens that could make a preacher shout, and then in a potato hash that was nothing short of sinful. The olives? Lord have mercy. Worth the stop all by themselves. Now let's talk atmosphere. This place looks like a gas station that found religion and got saved by a butcher block--and I mean that as the highest compliment. It's got character, grit, and just enough charm to make you want to hang around longer than you planned. Do yourself a favor: don't just think about going--go. Make the trip, take the detour, tell whoever's with you they'll thank you later. And for the love of all things good and right, get the tuna dip. I don't know what they're putting in it, but it ought to be studied by scientists

Initially we'd planned to go to a different lobster roll place only because we just knew about them. They were closed so we came across this gem! So happy we did!! Mom and pop restaurant away from the touristy area serving great lobster dishes for decent prices. The place is inviting and cozy. The owner is funny and super accommodating. He even tried to make up a dish for my little picky eater. Between us we had lobster rolls and the pasta! It was SO good man! lol I can't wait to go back to Pensacola just for this. I might go this weekend, hmm!! Go get a lobster roll! Thank me later.

The owner is a 1 woman show. She told me she does everything. If she gets busy she'll have her boyfriend who owns the building come help her. Obviously they specialize in Lobster. It's main Lobster which can be quite expensive. She is Thai so she incorporates traditional Thai flavor in her food. I ordered the Lobster Tom Yum soup. Boy was this soup plentiful and flavorful! I wish I got her name but the owner believes in never going hungry. The bowl is huge and there were chunks of main lobster sitting on top as well as mixed in the bowl. I tasted strong hot and sour flavors. Just a fragrant broth of lemongrass, galangal, lime leaves, fish sauce. I like mine spicy so she gave me some sate sauce to add. It's her own special recipe I must say it's one of the best soups I've had. Not to mention the bowl is full of noodles too! I wanted to go back and get a Lobster roll which came highly recommended but I ran out of time on my trip. I'm all for supporting small family businesses.. and it's woman owned! Please go try The Lobster Cage! Tell them you saw my review( San Diego perspective)

I'm convinced they were blessed by the Greek gods themselves. Fresh ingredients, tender gyro meat that practically melts on contact, and that perfect balance of herbs and seasoning, it's easily the best gyro in town, hands down. And don't even get me started on the Cuban sandwich and the buffalo chicken fries. Those are my "don't think, just order" picks. Every. Single. Time. Flavorful, hearty, and dangerously addictive. But I have to be honest: Recently I've missed seeing my favorite Hip Pocket employee, Leigh! The one and only. She gives the kind of customer service that makes you feel like you're walking into your best friend's kitchen. Absolutely nothing against the rest of the team as they're great! They are just not her. Leigh could teach masterclasses in hospitality. She's a huge part of why I've been a loyal regular for years. The food is outstanding, but Leigh's kindness and energy are the extra magic that keeps me coming back. Hip Pocket Deli, please know you've got a true star on your hands and she always goes the extra mile for your customers!!!
