The waitress was attentive and offered to refill our beverages (my ice water and my friend's sweet tea) many times and checked on us as well. The fish was succulent, fried to perfection, flavorful and moist and served with at least four, and more likely 6 ounces of tartar sauce that didn't skimp on the diced pickles. Two lemon slices (one for the ice water, one for the fish) accompanied my meal. The meal left me feeling full, satisfied and satiated and I wont hesitate to return again in the near future. Their breakfast menu was very reasonably priced and my colleagues fried eggs, french toast and grits looked delicious. Excellent portion sizes at very reasonable and affordable prices. A pauper could dine like a prince at Frank's Diner! The diner itself is tastefully appointed and was not overly loud, despite being at above 50% capacity. Wood paneling with painted white wall board with some interesting décor added to the experience. We left our charming waitress a generous tip in line with the excellent service. This is one of the best restaurants in the charming small town of Culpeper and I would encourage everyone to try it.

They had $5 margaritas that night so I ordered one and we started with an order of their pierogies. There were four and they were served over a smear of their beer cheese. There were ok. I wanted more seasoning in the filling itself. It was pretty bland. For my entree I got their hot dog with chili and cheese with their housemade chips. I was pleasantly surprised to see a cheese sauce on the dog. It was pretty good. Some of the chips were pretty overcooked. The service brought this score down. I think the bartender was busy but plenty of servers were available. There was a lot of conversation at the bar. We probably should have just sat there. We missed out on drink refills, having our order taken promptly, and getting the check when we were ready to leave. Overall there were a lot of interesting things on the menu.
