Jason was great about quickly scheduling a rekey service for my home. Tristan was the locksmith that came out to complete the rekey service and he was fantastic with communicating about his scheduled arrival time. He arrived when he said he would and went over the very fair and affordable pricing before stating the service. I called 4 J's because I was having issues with a car key fob. At least that was my gut instinct. Jason was super easy to chat with and extremely honest that my gut may or may not be right. He asked a bunch of questions to understand the problems I was having and then set some time to come by. He was punctual, even early and super communicative prior to the appointment. When he arrived he was professional and very thorough. He ran a full diagnostics and even shared pictures of any codes he found before and after clearing them. He and I discussed the issue in depth and I decided to have a new key cut. He was able to cut the key and reprogram it on the spot. The price was legitimately lower than I expected for that. I have seen those kiosks or pop ups where they advertise some "low price" that is "lower than any locksmith", so I truly expected the pricing to be high on a new factory cut key from a locksmith. It turns out that those gimmicks are just that and the pricing for my new key was lower than most of those kiosks or pop ups outside of home improvement stores. All in, this is absolutely a business I would recommend to anyone who needs a locksmith. The value was great for what I needed done and all told it took less than 60 minutes from start to finish for a new key cut and reprogramming. You won't go wrong using these guys. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Last year we had all our locks re-keyed. The guy left and we come to realize none of the keys worked in the doors he changed. That service call for the correction was done quickly. At that time we have duplicates made for extras. Now a year later, we needed to have some keys made. We took them to three different locations and none were able to make a duplicate even though it was just a standard house key. We end up going to another locksmith to get a duplicate made. Although that key worked it was difficult to use and got stuck in a door. I had enough at this point and tried to get the original locksmith out to fix the situation of being able to have keys made at a local store like I've dove for 50*years His feedback was first you needed a special key making machine or the ones at the hardware store needed to be calibrated just perfect to remake one of his keys! He wanted to charge me for a service call. I told him I was not paying for his services for this issue and he could fix it or I would be forced to go another direction. He had no resolution for fixing the key problem, but did offer to let me take the lock off my door, bring it to him, and if there was a lock issue he would fix it I was born in the day, but it wasn't yesterday. I would stay away from shady services were your forced to go back to him to get keys made read more

WOULD GIVE 10 STARS IF POSSIBLE Jason responded immediately to my YELP inquiry and was only one who responded directly to my inquiry (instead of standard "call us for info"). Jason went above and beyond to help me program a new key fob for my 2010 Nissan Sentra. My Amazon purchased fob was not compatible, so Jason ordered an OEM fob which arrived the next day. He came to my home to program (huge plus) but was not successful. He ordered TWO more fobs, RETURNED to my home, and alas, the program failed. It is likely a problem with the car, as confirmed by Nissan service. Jason was able to cut a replacement key which will provide a working spare key. Jason is extremely professional and knowledgeable.
