Well first of all I have been going to this shop since I was little girl but moved to long beach & came back to Pedro so I decided to go back & omg I feel back in love with his sister who does the waxing , she is amazing . tom on the other hand, um its time for him to retire he can't shape a nail to save his life whether its acrylic or your natural nail . I have been to this shop multiple times and they have been great every time. This is a family run shop and the prices are extremely reasonable. To comment to another reviewer, if you come in close to closing to get a service that takes an hour, don't expect to be served. I do not disagree that perhaps they should have a 'last call' posted, but treat them as you would like to be treated. It was my first time here. Walked in at 9:14AM, needed mani-pedi and eyebrows. I was made to sit and wait. There was a man working the front desk, called out to someone, a woman appeared from the back and disappeared. I noticed another man sitting by the chairs, he looks like he works there, 929AM, I am asked to move to the manicure chair, I got confused because there was a pedicure chair that was ready but empty. Another few minutes, I was already wasting close to 20 minutes while another woman who works there and comes out and looks at an appointment book and disappeared again. Meanwhile, another person walks in and asked to sit and wait. If you don't have enough people for walk-ins, SAY SO. So your customers can decide if they are cool to wait or go somewhere else down the block. I went down the block. read more

WORST Nail salon in San Pedro!!!! The only reason they deserve one star is because of the plastic lining they put in the spa chairs for sanitary reasons. I took my soon-to-be step daughter to treat her to a nice mani and pedi. The reviews show it's a decent place. Well, it's not. It's horrible. My step daughter's nails looked like a three year old had painted them with red cheap polish. The woman who did my pedicure was very rough with my cuticles and did not listen at all to what I was telling her. I had to tell her to file my nails four times before she got them as short as I like them. It's really not that difficult to understand that I like my nails short, when I say from the very beginning, "Please make them very, very short and squared." The polish selection is terrible. There are only the crackle OPI ones, which I think are too juvenile for me. The polish brand they use is some cheap brand that 6 hours after my pedicure was done, still had not completely dried! When I was ready to pay, I gave the guy my debit card. He asked me if I wanted to leave tip on the card, and before I could say yes, he said," You can leave five dollars for each of us." That would have been fifteen dollars, since one person had worked on me and two on my step-daughter. I was so annoyed that he actually had the nerve to suggest how much tip I should leave!!!! (Not to toot my own horn here, but I'm not cheap and I happen to be a GREAT tipper when the job is done right.) After trying two of my debit cards and one of my credit cards, turns out his credit card machine was broken, and he said I had to go to the liquor store down the street to get cash. By this time Im so pissed I just want to get out. I storm out, get some cash out, and storm back in, and the cash on his desk. I gave him the worst tip I have eeeeveeer given in my life, but I hope he realizes that it reflects the awful service that was given to me that day. read more

Let me start off by saying that I don't normally get my nails done. I keep them short and don't pay attention to keeping them unchipped, so, I just don't bother - maybe once a year or so. I had to go on a trip to Washington 2 weeks ago and to be honest, I couldn't get my nails completely clean, from working in the yard. So, I decided that I'll get a french manicure to sort of hide it ;-). I drove down Gaffey and 4 Season was the first one I saw. I stopped to see, if someone would have time to do a manicure. They did and I stayed. While I don't have many comparisons, having done maybe 15 french manicures done in the past 10 years - they all had one thing in common: After 3-4 days I started getting chips, even when careful. Today it's been exactly 2 weeks that I go my nails done and not one chip. I have not been careful, put plants into the ground with bare hands etc. I don't know what they put on as top coat, but it must have super strength. I may just get may nails done more often, if it can last that long ;-) read more

If I could could give negative stars, I would definitely give them a -5 instead. I can seriously say that this is the worst customer service I've ever experienced! ... TOM (the owner) made me feel really stressed, tense and really upset after I left his nail shop!! This is not right at all. When I go get a mani & pedi done it is because I want to relax, get pampered, and enjoy my "me" time and it was the total opposite. Never Again!! He's only "nice" to his usual clients... which I don't understand why he just doesn't just have a sign saying "NO WALKINS WELCOME" PLEASE DON'T COME HERE! OK, let me update the review here. After going 2 times for my wife to get her nails done - and "HAVING an APPOINTMENT" - which they did not honor.... She did finally get her nails done there ((at the prodding of several of our friends who swear by this place)) She was very happy with the service, and the "extra mile" they went to take care of her. Very clean inside (that is a must for any place in my book) - and the people are very professional. She got gel nails - they looked very nice - and reasonably priced. If you could fix your appointment problem - you will be receiving more stars. I have not counted you out yet - so lets see if we can improve on our experience in the future. read more

Ive been coming here for years and all i gotta say its the they are the best in town , i know for sure i wont be getting any fungus cuz they sterelized all their tools and you see them doing that after they are done with your manicure or pedicure , for pedicure they put a new liner each time and on top of that once they change the liner they clean the tub ,once i went to some random nail place dont wanna say the name in san pedro and i got fungus , i was grossed out and of course upset , why i went somewhere else ? Cuz my favorite guy from this place went to his country so i decided to try somewhere else and i made a big mistake ! Don cleans my cuticles very well and he is the master of perfeccion , he cleans with a brush the extra polish around my nails , now for my eyebrows i love Lee lilian !!! No, they don't have many OPI colors to select from, but...... 4 Season Nails is one of the BEST nails salons in San Pedro! They've recently renovated, which means new spa pedicure chairs, clean surfaces and some decor. It can get very busy on a Friday or the weekend, so call in advance if you are planning on going one of those days. I recently had the BEST manicure of my life there. The manicurists are always very friendly and try to take their time. I suggest going on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday morning right when they open--- if you want the best, most thorogh, longest treatment possible. Most afternoons and evenings they are busy-- especially Friday! This place is great for the printed tips (daisies, zebra, leopard, etc.), shellac nail polish, crackle, waxing and so much more! NOBODY, & I mean NOBODY has touched my eyebrows for the last 4 years except for Lilian. I recommend if youre looking to wax your eyebrows you must see her. She's so friendly and gentle as well and has never made my eyebrows too thin. The entire place is clean and always has been. Tom does great nails. They also do gel and fantastic manicures. This has been my go to nail shop since I can remember. Sometimes you have to wait but it's well worth it. Cleanliness is a definite! Good selection of colors including O.P.I. (in the locked case). Tom is great, he can always find a way to fit me in the schedule for the day if I call and make an appointment instead of just dropping in.
