Wow! Just. Wow! I am out here this weekend for a retreat in Pine Cove. I'm a morning person, so I was up early looking for a local breakfast place. I was frankly surprised to find a place on Yelp with more than four reviews AND five stars. It doth intrigue me. I came in early, just me and one other table. The menu is a one page item, so you aren't going to be looking through a book of menu options. I went for the Western Bowl and coffee. Here's how they earned at least three stars. When I ask for coffee I always warn the wait staff of two things. I drink A LOT of coffee, and I like an extra cup or two after I've finished my meal. With that said, the wait staff here made sure my cup never went dry, and they kept refilling it after I had finished my meal. That was awesome. Now, to the food... The Western Bowl is shaved ribeye steak, hash browns, peppers, cheese, a little gravy and a little salsa. Throw two eggs any way you want on top, and you've got a Western Bowl. With something like this, sometimes you see too much gravy, and it turns into more of a breakfast stew bowl. This was not the case. It was an awesome balance and blend of flavors. Fantastic. I see how these guys have kept 5 stars. I've been here about 90 minutes, I still have a cup full of coffee, and now the place is filling up. I'm gonna leave now, but man am I gonna miss this place. My husband comes in here a lot for breakfast. The staff is very friendly. Now that they've remodeled and added more seating Saturday mornings aren't too crowded. The food is good and comes out fast. read more

#1 restaurant in Flint and Bullard area. This hole in the wall place has the nicest employees ever. This restaurant is mainly known for there breakfast (the famous blueberry pancakes are the best) and also serves lunch and dinner. The only problem is the wait time for your food tends to be pretty long. read more

Incredible food! Definitely recommend the lemon blueberry pancakes!!! Grits were delicious and everything was delivered remarkably fast with a smile!!! We were on our way to another restaurant and missed a turn with the GPS. There we were at the crossroads with the 4 Way Cafe right in front of us. The parking lot was busy, which is always a good sign. We saw one open parking spot and decided to change our lunch destination. Boy, we were sure glad we did. This is a gem of restaurant. They have a nice selection of food and great serving staff. My husband and I had the steak wrap and it was out of this world. The flavors just all worked so well together. I had ice tea which was brewed and tasted so good on a hot day. Very fresh. We both agreed that many lunches are okay but few are outstanding. This one was outstanding. Flint is right outside Tyler and it's worth the drive for breakfast or lunch at the 4 Way Cafe. read more

Gathered my family and came in to Four-Way at 2:48 on Friday-July 3rd. Yelp says "Open", sign on the door shows hours as "open until 3:00pm" and the neon sign that says "Open" was illuminated. Walked in the door to find all chairs on table and people sweeping the floor. Was told "sorry we are closed....but you can buy a casserole to take home". I am pretty sure that "Open until 3:00" is supposed to mean that if you walk in at 2:59, we will serve you. I would understand if this was some chain run by monkeys, but we went here specifically to support a locally owned business and were turned away at the door.....DURING BUSINESS HOURS. I will more than likely not return if this is the value they place on thier customers. It's sad when people go out of thier way (and we drove 20 minutes round trip) to support a local business, only to get thwarted by the staff. A real shame...... read more

This place is a classic cinematic, Ma and Pop shop. Everyone is immeasurably kind and compassionate. The special, which was fried catfish was cooked very well as if they had been doing it since elementary. We came here on our way out of town based on reviews on Trip Advisor and couldn't believe how awesome it was! Starting with the coffee (and I'm not a huge coffee snob but this was amazing). I had the Western bowl and loved every bite. The breakfast burrito, the pancakes the French toast...it was all so great. I don't do a lot of reviews and I generally don't give 5 stars that easily but in this case it is in order. I had thought about going to 4 way cafe for quite a while but I normally work the majority of the hours they are open and I am generally not a big breakfast person. If I eat breakfast I really like to eat corned beef hash. It is not something that everybody does well or even something that is offered on a lot of breakfast menus but it is quite tasty. In fact, it is not featured on 4 way cafe's menu either but I saw a Reuben on their lunch menu so I asked my server if I could get it. I told them that I'd pay a little more for it since I knew that it wasn't a normal menu item. She asked the chef and he made it for me. It was awesome. The rest of my and my wife's breakfast from the light and airy biscuits to the perfectly fluffy and NOT greasy pancakes were what my wife and I have been looking for since moving to Tyler over a year ago. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations on food quality and service. We will be back! read more

I dropped by for lunch the other day and I am so glad I did. I chose the breakfast burrito but couldn't decide which meat to pick (sausage, bacon or chorizo) and asked the waitress for a suggestion. She couldn't decide because she said all of it was delicious and offered me the option of combining any or all. Ended up getting bacon and chorizo. The burrito was amazing - the tortilla was crispy on the outside, the cheese was gooey, meat was flavorful and the hashbrowns added the right amount of heartiness. And it came with salsa! The people are friendly and the food is delicious and not overpriced - a wonderful experience overall. My only regret is not having the chance to try their lemon blueberry pancake. This little cafe is a little out of the way for me but I may be back to try them! read more

Great food, great chef, tried the catfish on a Friday and the chicken fried steak on Tuesday with gravy that is awesome, and you can get fries that are just as awesome with basil and dip them in the gravy and enjoy. The staff is very nice but doesn't hover over you, so you can enjoy your meal without constant distractions. They re-fill your drinks without asking, and are not a distraction while eating your meal. Went here for lunch one day and got the club sandwich with potato salad. That was out of this world! Buddy of mine got his with French fries. French fries were awesome too. A week later we came again and I got the steak wrap which was so good. Same buddy got the western combo which was hash browns biscuit gravy eggs and shaved steak.
