Go try Loggins Restaurant! How does this sound? Chicken fried steak, liver & onions, chicken and dumplings, fish, fried chicken.... Salad bar, peas, green beans, mashed potatoes, yams, cornbread, hot rolls........ Since 1949 good food has been being served. The waitresses are very good ! Take a break from the food chains and get you some real comfort food! If you're an Texas Aggie fan, you will be right at home! Johnny "Football" grandparents own Loggins! There is plenty to look at , walk around and check it out (aTm). When in Tyler, Texas give them a try. Go get Full

Ok soooooooo my husband's family has been coming here forever!!!!! Locals love this little part of Tyler history. Comfort food at its best. Staff is amazing!!! Maria took great care of us. Not sure if there is even a menu lol everyone gets the all you can eat buffet. Now that buffet has everything, Chicken fried steak, fried chicken, collared greens, black eyed peas, mac n cheese, catfish, salad fix'ns & sooooo many other great items to pick from. Oooooh and save room for dessert!!!!!

If you're looking for an old fashioned country buffet, this is your place. This is like a trip back to the 50's. The decor matches that era and the food is good old fashioned, homemade comfort food. Fried chicken, whole and fillet catfish, chicken fried steak, baked chicken, chicken dumplings, beef stroganoff, corn bread, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and so on. The food is quite good. In particular the chicken fried steak and fried chicken. Very old school and super tasty. After the meal you get your choice of pie. The price is $10 plus drinks. This is an incredible value for such a good meal. The place is packed with locals. Service is superb. Our waitress Maria was incredibly friendly and very quick to fill our glasses and clear our plates. She also brought us pie. This is what great service should be.

I didn't even know this place was in Tyler because it's is not in the more newly developed retail areas we tend to visit. But I wanted to try something we haven't had. And we were so pleased. An old school diner vibe but it's been working for them. The buffet is such a great value. There are plenty of choices anc they are all delicious. If you want quality home cooking then you should go!

(There, they also steam the fish rather than fry it; but hey, beggars can't be choosers!) I knew this existed from other people's pics. But on the menu, I couldn't figure out which item it was. I asked the waiter, he pointed it out, but I forgot what he said. Lol. I think it's tilapia. It was $15 before tax, tip. Just what I wanted!

(NYC). Introducing Inka's. Peruvian meets Colombian cuisine. I am part Colombian so Colombian cuisine is something I am very familiar with, Peruvian not so much. The number one staple in Colombian food is going to be the dish called "Bandeja Paisa" which contains pork, beef, sausage, sweet plantain, egg, avocado, rice and beans. This is what caught my eye because it is what I am most familiar with. I also ordered a mango milkshake. This was not my first time being here at this establishment. The place stays pretty empty and it is quite unfortunate because the quality of food, the taste and the attentive to detail from the staff is above and beyond. Inside, the place is rather big and it looks like they have live music at times. I just wish them to a lot more busier because this is the closest thing I have to Colombian food. My bandeja paisa elevated me straight to Colombia where the taste from the pork was out of this world it was so crunchy yet so soft, the beans were amazing as well as the beef. Let me not forget the mango milkshake which was delicious. I need everyone to saturate this establishment and support this business because these flavors are international but teleported locally to serve good cuisine.

There's plenty of nice local establishments, but some can be pricey and some are just more casual than you want. Scott Williams has perfected the restaurants of Tyler that are balanced between affordable and still quite nice. He got his toes in the water with FDs, before expanding into Javi's, Twelve, and now the fanciest of them all in III Palms. I thought of all those options, Twelve would be the most unique and tasty for my girlfriend and I. We went in an hour before they closed on a Sunday and were seated immediately. We weren't too hungry so we didn't expect to be there past their closing time, and we were ready to go. Our waiter was quick and attentive, bringing us water and helping us decide on drinks from the bar and our order. He also showed us their insane over-the-top whiskey menu. If you like whiskey, give Twelve a shot I guess. To order, I just got their 'Osaka Style' Pressed Roll while my girlfriend got a Sushi Bowl Salad. We got Sweet Potato Fries to share. As for drinks, I started with their Monkey See, Monkey Do, an impressive and firm beverage, while my girlfriend ordered their Destin Dream, a fun Pina Colada-like drink. It wasn't long before our food came out. The sushi was beautifully plated with some wasabi and pickled ginger on the side. I destroyed all the rolls. They were all very fresh and very high quality, which was remarkable for their $13.50 price tag. My girlfriend's sushi bowl looked insane. She ate most of it, but I filled the gaps and devoured the rest of it. The sweet potato fries were crispy and heavenly like all sweet potato fries usually are. I felt adventurous and I got a second drink of their Rose Garden, which was simple but flavorful. Compared to FDs, the menu might be a little more sea-inspired and more adventurous, but I think it leads to better, more unique food, especially with offerings like Oyster Rockefeller and a sushi bar. I also know Twelve does a great brunch as well, so keep that on your radar. Ultimately, as the bill came, the price was very manageable even with the alcohol. It's nice that you don't fully have to break the bank to have a nice meal in Tyler thanks to places like Twelve. I rate it a 12/10. Get it? hahahaha... RIYL: A slightly adventurous, but affordable night out.
