The exterior is definitely diner but inside it's a full on restaurant with a beautiful bar, amazing food and the best service. We met the owner Ali who works so hard to make sure each diner has the perfect experience. Our server Corinne was outstanding, as well as the rest of the staff we encountered. The menu is vast and will please any palate. The yum yum shrimp was a tasty, spicy moist appetizer that anyone would enjoy. My strip steak was seasoned to perfection with mashed potatoes and seasoned veggies. My husband loved his baby back ribs. Large bar area but also suitable for families. They also have a robot that delivers a portion of the meal which added to the dining experience. Lots of luscious desserts should you save room. Only open 6 weeks but with service and food this good I suspect once the word gets out how great this place is, good luck getting in. read more

Robot power I headed to Fort Myers yesterday and one of my reasons was to visit 41 Diner. I like visiting diners, they usually have big menus, large portions, and are reasonably priced. This particular diner had something else I was interested in, a robot food runner. My breakfast of choice was their Meat Lover's Omelet, an omelet that had cheddar cheese, cubes of ham, some ground sausage, and included in there someplace were little pieces of bacon. As far as omelets go, this one was average, nothing out of the ordinary. They didn't have their Home Fries, so my side was hash browns, which are almost designed to be uniformly average. 41 Diner has a definite diner look from the outside, inside didn't have neon or chrome but it's a large comfortable place not unlike a favorite diner. It was almost empty when I stopped in. My service was great and the food didn't take long at all to arrive. As for the robot, I didn't get to see it in action. Because they weren't really busy and I was a single diner i.e. not many plates to bring to my table, my food was delivered normally. At the end of my meal I did ask about the robot and learned they do use it. They can load it up and have it go to any table. The server will transfer the dishes to the table and send the robot back to wherever it hangs out. She told me it was very helpful and even offered to demo it for me. We were driving back after having physical therapy, and we couldn't decide where to go. So we saw the 41 Diner and decided to give it a try! It didn't look really busy and we were seated quickly. The coffee arrived immediately and was good! Our waitress arrived and took our order. Two western omelets with grits and sourdough bread, mine well done! Alright, we're twins already Dave and I lol! To our surprise, we saw a robot bringing people their food! Her name is Felicia, and she had a child like voice. How cute! More like a server's helper. Our breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Let me save everyone a trip to this restaurant - DO NOT COME HERE!! If I could give this 0 stars, I would honestly give it a negative star rating. We were the only customers in the restaurant. The wait staff was not completely knowledgeable when we were placing our order. The staff stood around and talked the whole time. When our food came out, it was wrong and we had mentioned it the waiter who got an attitude and proceeded to go in the back to talk negatively about the issue. Mind you, we are the only customers in the restaurant so we heard everything. When I said they were negatively talking, I am not kidding. The food was below average, cold and did not taste fresh. We will gladly not come back here again not only because of the sub par food but most definitely because of the wait staff. I wanted to make mention to the wait staff that we heard everything that was said and they blatantly lied. How can you be a breakfast restaurant and open at 11am? I would love to try your breakfast during breakfast time.

My first impression was this looked like a nice diner with friendly staff. However, when we were sat at a table with silverware and menus which had clearly not been cleaned, the visit went down from there. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, but her choosing to memorize orders instead of writing them down had her asking questions which had already been answered, and one item served incorrectly although she was really quick of resolve. My choice was a Buffalo chicken sandwich, which looks like a Tyson frozen patty you would get in a large pack at Sam's club. I would not recommend it. While my experience was disappointing, my wife enjoyed her meal. Perhaps breakfast is where this place shines. I would just reconsider if you are looking for lunch or dinner items. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! We pulled into the parking lot at 9:30 on a Saturday morning and the lot was almost empty. That should have been my first clue. I've not been to a diner where they substituted NOTHING. Al I wanted was spinach instead of cheese on a breakfast sandwich and the server said they do NOT allow substitutions even if you pay for them. I am completely plant based and and even at steak houses they substitute. I wish them luck in staying in business with that attitude. The country fried steak was made from frozen and tasted terrible. I asked for beef gravy instead of white gravy and it still came with white gravy that looked like barf. The stuffing was dry and out of a box. The turkey had no taste. The gravy had no taste. She didn't even eat it. My dad also ordered the country fried steak with Turkey gravy instead of white gravy and guess what? He got white gravy. A thick pile of grossness. The waitress never came back to ask how we were doing or we would have sent our food back and left. When she came with the check we told her about the food (my mom didn't even eat her turkey dinner) and her response was, I will let the cook know. What? Friends and I went here for lunch. Won't do that again. One of my friends is in a wheelchair, so naturally the young male host walked us all the time the far back. To try and use a BOOTH...what? Once we explained to him why a table is needed he just stood there with a confused look in his face. We reordered drinks and just got water Lets order lunch...ok . Grilled ham & cheese, fish sandwich and biscuits & gravy. Not a hard order, no modifications. The fish and the grilled ham and cheese were ok...the biscuits & gravy...was so full of flour pellets my friend would not /could not eat it. It looked like wall paper glue. So basically...the service mostly sucked (our waitress Nicole was super nice and apologetic for all the nonsense) the male runner, and host...need a lot of training and common sense. had breakfast at 41 diner last sunday. i won't be back. I ordered my breakfast from the only waiter there, the food was brought to me 10 min. later by a robot. the food was COLD. I could't get the waiters attention beacause he spent the entire time that i was there in conversation with someone further down the counter. I asked the busboy to call him over. He took the cold food into the kitchen to warm it up. It came back cold again, delivered by robot. The only time i had his attention was when i asked for the bill. This sunday( today) i went to Haneys cafe,about 2 miles dow the road. I was servered a hot breakfast by a real server ( one of about 10 servers ). they refilled my coffee and were very attentive. the food was good and hot. As we were driving down 41 we spotted this old fashioned dinner and decided to check it out. If you love salads, like I do, the endless soup and salad bar is a great deal. The salad bar had more then enough choices, including: cottage cheese, pasta salad and broccoli salad. There were 3 choices of soup and I can say the Chicken and Rice was very good, lots of chicken and I just needed at add a little pepper. They advertise that their meatloaf is "famous" so we will definitely return to give it a try. By far the nicest diner I've ever been to. My wife and I were heading back to Boca from Captiva and were in search of a Starbucks or any place for some breakfast when we stumbled upon this 24 hour oasis. Pleasant decor and lighting. Breakfast served all day. I opted for the soup (3 choices) and salad bar at 11 am! The creamy broccoli soup hit the spot along with basic salads and toppings. Hard for me to find my favorite French dressing was there. clean clean clean. And Fresh. $8.99. Salad bar and soups included with most entree at no charge. Unlimited of course. My wife had eggs toast fruit etc prepared as she requested. Coffee $1.98 was excellent and our server Natalie also gets 5 stars for disposition and efficiency. What a pleasure. First off, we come here often because of the salad and soup bar included in the already reasonable entree prices - watch out Sweet Tomatoes. We've always gone around 10pm on weekdays and the waitresses are always kind and attentive. Lettuce always looks crisp and not wilted. Some of the soups taste EH or like a chili version - but hey it's "free". Avoid the spaghetti - it tastes a little like chili and just is overall 2 stars. Husband swears by the chopped steak. Their fries are really good and the garlic toast is A M A Z I N G. You ever see a place and know it's going to be great? This restaurant had an authentic vibe from the get go. Parking lot was clean and ample, I was greeted instantly and sat immediately. Washroom was spotless and the restaurant was clean. I have a bing for cleanliness. I enjoyed steak and eggs and the coffee was fresh and topped off without asking. The dessert was great- Cookies and Cream cake. Natalie was super engaging, funny and a pleasure. Never felt like I was being rushed and took my time. Went there this morning on our mini road trip. I always like small diners. This one is not so small. They are remodeling. But not while we were there and it was clean. We had breakfast. Home fries were so soggy, neither of our orders was cooked through, Corned hash was definitely from a can. They charged us for the full meal and we couldn't even touch the sides because they weren't cooked. I love this place again! They have made huge strides since taking this place over and have done a wonderful job. The owner prides himself on getting your order correct. No pad and pen, just memory. If it isn't right he wants you tell him. We were a table of 8, my wife and I and our 6 kids. Our food was really great and I love good diner food. I went for the 41 feast, which has plenty of food for those that are hungry. The pancakes have some good denseness to it and are tasty. I go with some butter on mine and no syrup. On this day, we all got up Christmas Day Morning after opening presents and went to the 41 Diner for Breakfast. Yes, they were open and pretty busy! ;-) Good for them! I love when a local spot is doing well and has great customer service and real good food. This is a reasonable place too. Reasonably priced with good portions. This was our go to restaurant for several years and we would go there weekly. We loved the salad bar and some of the specials. Unfortunately they have been closed for what seems like an extremely long time for 'renovations'. Now they are only open from 7am to 3pm, no specials, and the salad bar is GONE. I ordered broiled cod what i got was not cod. There is no way this thin fillet was cod fish. I bought cod many times in my adult life. I love to cook. I can tell the difference between cod and tilapia. Maybe it wasn't tilapia but definitely not Cod, cod is a very thick and buttery fish. It was tasty, but definitely not Cod and not worth 13.99 My friend got chicken alfredo and said the sauce had no taste, it was blend. The salad bar was the best of it all. Soup had only broth and nothing else in it, I do like ruby tuesdays salad a thousand times more. Our waitress was a sweety and we left her a nice tip, its not her fault they are trying to fool people on what they serve. Ordered Country Fried steak with sausage gravy and sweet potato fries (which was a dollar extra) and a tossed salad with no onions. Salad came out first, and was loaded with sliced onions. Ok, probably a pre-made salad and it just slipped by. Almost finished with my salad and here comes the little robot waiter with our meals. Waiter puts it down and there is no sausage gravy, but a foul mushroom smelling brown gravy. I call the waiter back and point this out and he grabs my plate and scurries back to the kitchen. Returns shortly saying there is no more sausage gravy. Now this place is a diner, says so in their name but running out of sausage gravy half way through the day? So, I ordered a cheese burger, you guessed it, no onions. Onions! Is there anything the person in the kitchen doesn't put onions on!
