The very first time I came here was a weekday night. It was a bit crowded, drinks were decent and it was dark. I likey it :) I did have a run in with some old geezer who told me not to sit on his girls bar stool while she was in the restroom. When she got back she said I could sit there because she wanted to stand. Then the old man told me I couldn't sit there while his chick said it was fine I can have the seat. MAKE UP YOUR FUCKING MIND!! Fuck it I'll just stand too! Then we hit this place again during Sunset Junction. It was so bright inside I didn't know where I was at first. It was cash only, I saw pot holes on the ground and the place looked like it was expanded by three times the size. Wow I must have been really drunk the last time I was here to not notice there was another side of this place. Parking can be a bit tricky. This is a beautiful bar. I've been here for a big party and a more intimate get-together, and it's been great. The ceiling has these beautiful cloth pieces hanging from it give it almost a nice south Asian vibe, and there's comfy booths and bar seats. Drinks are also really well priced here, you can get a miller high life and shot for $10. Plus there's a great little street meat setup outside, so you don't have to go hungry. And worst case if you get bored, there's a bunch of cool Silverlake bars down the street. read more

Really liked this place. Found on yelp and came on a friday night with a couple girlfriends. Great place to hang out and grab drinks. It was comfortable, not hard to get drinks (which were decently priced) and the music was an enjoyable eclectic mix. Everything a bar should be, definitely going back. read more

Here's some information you don't even need to know--4100 is the first bar I got kicked out of. Luckily their staff turnover rate is so high I came back a month later and no one was the wiser. For being a Silverlake hipster shithole the place is not half bad, but the drinks are grossly overpriced for where you're at and what you're getting. At least it's dark--so when you get disgustingly & blindingly drunk you can grab the first moving body and fuck them in the alleyway, you know, if you're disgusting slut trash, or whatever. read more

This is a great chill spot with decently-priced drinks. I have gone to this place more often than I care to admit, but good time were always had by all. The stories, oh the stories! The best place to hang out is the bar area. People are not overly hipster but you get the ocassional groups. The mirrors above the bar definitely helps if you want to check someone out. 4100 is AWESOME! Brandon the manager was bartending and is a cool dude! He's got this James Dean meets Johnny Depp style that kinda is a great way to describe this Bar ...cool, laid back, sexy! I had heard a rumor it was closing so I wanted to check it out but I asked and they just found out IT'S STAYING OPEN! I am really glad because this is my new spot! The bartenders were way down to earth (good looking group) and introduced me to other people at the bar and I met some really cool people. The service is warm and friendly, drinks are strong, prices are SUPER reasonable. You actually MEET people there, wow friendly people at a bar in LA amazing. The doorman was so cool, no attitude at the door, wow, no lines! BINGO! Jukebox rocks too! I like the new 4100, how they knocked out some windows up against the wall, that was a great addition. I do NOT like how my friend and I stood at the bar for about 10 minutes while the bar tender decided NOT to serve us. She walked around to the other side of the bar, she looked at us and kept going... we waited. It was an UNBUSY sunday night, not many patrons at all and it didnt appear that she was doing anything while we waited... and waited. Then she walked past us to the other side of the bar... we waited. Then she began to leisurely count money while we ... waited. I finally had to say excuse me?! to get her attention, after which she sauntered on over. We have NEVER been treated that way at the 4100 before! 4100 is one of my favorite bars in the Silverlake area. Dimly lit, romantic, divey/classy atmosphere (I know, contradicting words, but that's how it feels), you come here for a relaxed low-key place to kick it with your friends or date. There's usually no wait to get in, but there's usually a wait to get some sort of seat on a weekend night. Usually a hipster/white crowd here at 4100. I'm not very hip(ster). People that come here are, but they are nice and harmless. The music that's played here reflects this. Interior and ambiance is very Indian/Mediterranean-hip. There's an abundances of places to sit, which is mind boggling because the bar looks like a small shack from the outside. This is a solid bar. It can be low key or crazy depending on the night, but there's usually always somewhere to sit. It's the best with a big group of friends. Drinks are strong and not as expensive as a lot of places. Like a lot of Silverlake bars, the crowd can be pretentious, chill, or both. Checked out this bar last night after seeing a flick at The vista theater, near by. We got there round 9, kinda early. The bar was pretty empty, but filled up as the night went on. They offered a few signature drinks for 10 bucks each, but I opted out and went with a simple cocktail. the drink was average, had I known there was a juke box I might have hit that up. The music plain was like soft background music, and kinda dull. Lighting was super sexy red and dim! Very nice. Bathrooms..well it's a small bar so only one stall. (The 7 Grand bar is up there too though I must admit) This bar, at 4100 sunset, has a really cool feel with a tapestry draped cieling, a brick arched island bar in the middle and lots of cushy seating. Oh, there's also an allmighty big wooden Buddah guy quietly watching over all it's customers from the back lol. I just discovered teh 4100 Bar, and I must say I really liked it! My gf's picked the place. It was so chic inside, I felt like I was back in NYC. I love the dim lighting, there is a certain mysteriouls vibe you get w/ the nice low lighting. The drinks were good and priced ok. The bartender, Brandon was a total sweet heart. I really enjoyed the crowd. Very good looking crowd, I will be back to this bar again. There was a scavenger hunt that nite, it was so cool, I actually played photogragher for the cuties. I like it a lot! I was here on a Saturday night about 10 and there was a reasonable crowd, but no lines, not too packed, and no cover. I was already sold, but then I found out that they had a decent beer selection. My friend ordered a Stone Pale Ale, for some odd reason, but they had Arrogant Bastard on tap. I had a couple of that beer I love. it's so damn strong and delicious. There was music playing loud, but not too loud that you couldn't have a convo. We had a really good time, but unfortunately took off too early for some worthless place in Chinatown where our friends were, booo!!! Anyway, as for cons, it's a little pricey I guess for the beers, but not really even considering the area. Compared to SD though, it was a little steep. Still though, the beers were only about $6, which isn't terrible these days at nicer places. read more
