I love the vibe here, it's casual mixed with good eats and craft cocktails. It wasn't overly crowded on a weekday happy hour, we snagged a table indoors for a group of 7. We were here to show our So Cal hospitality for our dear friend, Dawne, who was visiting from the Sunshine State of Florida. I had the Disco Inferno Mezcal cocktail made with lime juice, agave and chili salt rim. We indulged on tacos, quesadillas and chips with guacamole and salsa. The menu easily highlights the HH prices which I appreciate since a lot of places hide it Parking: street parking - residential parking Staff: super friendly and talkative. Great community. The bar is horizontally positioned across this lair and the room is pretty to accommodate a large sudden birthday or holiday gather or a spot to hit up before and definitely after the Tam O'Shanters within spitting distance. I went to this bar last night for a friend's birthday gathering and it was a fun vibe! I just got a drink - I'm not sure what it was called but it tasted like a pink starburst. My friend asked the female bartender for the sweetest drink with vodka and this is what we got! Picture included. It was pretty good as I'm not a big drinker and didn't taste too strong in my opinion. This is something I would order again. My friend got the nachos - didn't get a picture but the table shared it and it was really good! I believe it was the carnitas nachos and it was both nachos and fries (double check though because I also didn't order this). I would definitely get this again if I went back tho! Service was pretty quick and they were nice. We had a huge group of people who were already inside. When we entered there was a gentleman who checked our IDs. He opened the door for us which was sweet of him. Why limit happy to an hour, especially when you're with good friends. Thankfully, Happy Hour is daily at The High Low (Mon - Fri 4 - 7 pm, Sat & Sun 1 - 5 pm). It was a rough week and I was mentally and emotionally drained, so I was grateful to meet the beautiful Bender sisters here for cocktails and conversations. I used to come here when it was The Griffin but haven't had a chance to come back since it's been under new ownership. It looked like I remembered - brick lined walls, lofty ceilings, and rustic wood accents. I was glad that the enclosed firepit was still there since it was part of the charm. There's also a pool table, an outside patio with TVs, Karaoke (Tues, Fri & Sunday), and live music on Mondays. We got a table next to the firepit and ordered from the bar. Love popping into this bar when we wait for our dinner reservations across the street. Love the vibe and the wood and dark accents, especially cute during Christmas with more colored lights. We went here on a Friday night after dinner at around 10pm, and there were a lot of people but we were pleasantly surprised/relieved to discover that it wasn't uncomfortably crowded. There was a fair amount of seating available and ordering drinks at the bar was a fairly quick, painless, and efficient process...It's obvious that this is a well run bar, and the bartenders here don't fuck around dilly dallying. Showed up at the High Low Bar around 7:30 on a Friday. Not crowded at all. No line at the bar. Good casual vibe to catch up with friends. Ordered some great drinks. Wife got the quesadilla which she said was decent for what it was. I got two vegetarian tacos that were frankly fantastic. Spent the rest of the night wondering if I should get two more tacos. Now writing this five days later I miss those extra tacos I didn't have. Some friends got the nachos which looked incredible as well and a huge serving also. By the time we left at 10 or 10:30 the place was hopping and there was a line at the bar. Was too loud to talk and catch up with our friends at that point so we split. All that being said I sincerely wish the High Low was closer to me so I could go more often. read more

the high low is becoming one of my go-to bars! there's always seating (i've only arrived on friday nights, between 5-7pm), it doesn't get too crowded when ordering drinks, and the ambiance is lowkey but fun. their moscow mule and cider are both great. i also usually get the carnitas nachos to share with friends which is always a hit. i don't know why, but their fries are the best fries i can remember having in a long time. maybe i need to try more fries, but i was like wow this random bar has the best ones in recent memory... bartenders are fast and helpful. happy hour goes until 7pm, which is great. parking is not exactly plentiful, but if you're willing to walk a block there seems to be some street parking around the neighborhood. that would probably be my only small complaint. otherwise, it's a great place to hang with small and large groups! read more

We were invited as part of a birthday celebration and had a great time. The only thing that's missing is room to dance, it gets busy and it can get cozy. We arrived to an array of appetizers and all looked delicious. We tried a few and would definitely order them again. We would recommend the Habanero Chicken Fingers and the guacamole and chips. Both were fantastic! It's pretty dark inside, has a pool table, it was a bit loud, and the room temperature was just right. The woman's bathroom was very clean and well stocked. The bartenders and servers were all friendly and helpful, the man running the karaoke was fun and friendly. The karaoke started at 9pm and had open seating in a room across from the bar area. You sign up by QR code and wait to be called. The variety of songs were endless and it definitely added to our already fun night.
