Honestly probably the worst dining experience we had while in Florida for a week. They were not very busy, they only have 14 tables in the first place and there were four or five empty with only one customer at the bar and two servers. We ordered two items, mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and the CLUB sandwich (it's toasted bread with cold meat and cold cheese with two pieces of bacon.) and waited over 45 minutes and didn't come out until I mentioned it to the waitress. The guy that ordered his food right before us got his twenty minutes before we did. Our appetizer came out super fresh, which gave me the impression that it had been back there awhile and she made them remake it or they completely forgot about it. The woman at the table next to us came in 50 minutes after us and got her STEAK at the same time as my Club sandwich. Update: didn't even get an apology from the waitress and then she had the nerve to add a 15% tip onto the bill herself!

It was really disappointing and distasteful to see this post…read more I'm one of the regulars at karaoke night at 9 Feet Under, and I can honestly say karaoke has always been about bringing people together. My own birthday was celebrated there on karaoke night, and it was one of the most amazing and unforgettable nights. We also celebrated my niece's graduation on karaoke night, and it was another incredible evening filled with friends, family, laughter, and great memories. Seeing an employee post something so negative about an event that so many of us genuinely enjoy is disappointing. From the outside looking in, it seems like there's been a big shift in whoever is running these events. I recently attended both karaoke night and ladies' night, and the atmosphere was completely different from what many of us have come to love. FYI, karaoke night *brings people together*. I can't think of a single time we've gone and not had a great night. That's why this post doesn't reflect what 9 Feet Under has always represented to so many of us. If you work there and karaoke night is that terrible *for you*, maybe it's worth asking yourself why that is. Or perhaps this isn't the right environment for you. But please don't portray an event that has created so many positive memories for so many people as something negative, because that's simply not the experience the rest of us have had. Now you've lost customers!!

Martinez in the Miami Design District from 2008 until 2012, closing to spend more time with their young son. Señora Martinez is Michelle; she runs the kitchen & David oversees this restaurant. I love the music, tapas and mojitos at their Cafe La Trova on Calle Ocho in Little Havana. Their newest restaurant is over 4,000 sq. ft., seats 68 with the covered patio seating 50 more with a stage & large cocktail bar. The valet was right in front of the restaurant for $15. Stepping into Snr. Martinez was like a vacation; I was taken to another place and time. The lush green & coral ambiance was warm & inviting; an old Miami Beach vibe. We got here early in time for happy hour. The mini cocktails were perfect since we had to drive home, but it is always so difficult to choose as it all sounds so good. I had to start with the crispy artichokes, famous carbonara croquettes & eggplant chips so we got it all. The eggplant chips with a savory sweet drizzle & a sprinkle of maldon salt that was addictive. Although I love her bacon wrapped dates, tuna tartar & shishito peppers - but, where would I put it all? The menu is Michelle's signature Spanish cuisine with European influences & South Florida flair. The smell of the wood fire oven permeated the restaurant with the description of the oxtail paella, whole fire roasted fish, steaks, wood roasted duck... tantalizing. I tried the perfectly grilled flank steak with chimmicurri while my husband devoured his cheesy seafood paella . Michelle's Torrejas Bread Pudding was my must have for dessert. It was so outrageously wonderful warm, perfect that we ordered a second . The complementary champagne was a very nice touch.! In Service was relaxed, professional, and impeccable. We were wowed by every bite. Dinner was a splurge, but it was so worth it.

Service was attentive and warm throughout, though there was a fairly long wait between the second course and dessert. To start, the tuna tartare was outstanding, full of flavor and beautifully prepared. My friend's calamari with risotto was excellent as well. The salmon, unfortunately, fell a bit flat and lacked seasoning. The fries, on the other hand, were a highlight crisp, super fresh, and thoroughly delicious. For dessert, I ordered the panna cotta, which in texture and presentation was closer to a mousse than a traditional panna cotta, but honestly, it didn't matter. Whether you call it a panna cotta or a mousse, the flavor was incredible and the texture was lovely, finished with a bright, tangy mango topping that tied it all together. One tip! the restaurant runs quite cold, so dress warmly if you're planning to visit. Overall, a lovely spot.

From the moment we checked in and until we left, everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. The place is huge, with quiet places, places to sit and eat, and other places to relax. We got here after having lunch. But that didn't stop us from sampling some of the entrees and desserts. We noticed that the food is varied with something for everyone - vegetarian, vegan, meat eater, or picky eater. We tried the chicken and rice. It was so good. Our eyes sampled the rest of the entrees, wishing we had room in our bellies to eat more. Of course there is ALWAYS room for ice cream. That was heavenly. Husband had his salted caramel in a cone and I had mine in a bowl with Bailey's. Thanks, Karen for the recommendation! And thank you, Romano, for excellent service with a dazzling smile at the ice cream bar! There is something to drink for everyone's taste. They have two stations with coffee and tea, as well as water, ice tea and snacks. The bar has a wide variety of liquor and liqueurs. A cooler has sodas, sparkling water, cider and beers. Two soda machines are ready for you to use for Coke products. If you want to read, use the QR code on their business card to access publications. If you like to read print publications, they have three to choose from in a magazine rack, near the front entrance. Of course they have bathrooms for men and women, clean and well stocked. And they also have showers. We used the former, but not the latter. If you are flying American, and have access to the Flagship Lounge, you will be thrilled with all it has to offer.

We had to clear a table to have access to it. Everything, except the bar, is self serve. The hot items were good. A toaster is available to toast English muffin and bagels. They have a great coffee machine for self serve lattes and the like. It's a good spot for a long layover. But there is room for improvement.
