Drove 10 hours to visit family in Alabama., had dinner here and it didn't disappoint. There were dishes that had issues, but our waitress got on it and fixed it. Everything was satisfying to the palate . The protein was not dry and, were moist. They cooked it properly , and just seasoned correctly. Their desserts were not heavy, and not too sweet, it was the perfect ending to our meal. Our waitress never left us thirsty, and she paid attention to our needs. Best food in Cullman! The pork chop tastes like a good steak and is fantastic. The Brussels sprouts are always the best ever and the cheese sticks are melt in your mouth delicious. I had the filet mignon and it was great and cooked to perfection. The only problem with the outdoor seating is the amount of flys and bugs that bother you. Such a great place! We thought that we would be pretty much one of the only tables occupied since it was 4:00 on a Saturday afternoon. Let me tell you, it filled up quickly both inside and on their patio! We just stopped in for a drink and appetizers, but honestly contemplated ordering a meal, but we had dinner plans for later on. They have a great drink menu and the prices were unbelievable in a good way! The old fashion was perfect as was their Moscow mule and mojito. We devoured the crab dip in no time as well as the seared tuna. The calamari was very good and didn't come served with the often seen marinara, but Thai chili sauce. The sweetness of the sauce played off well with the fried batter on the calamari. We really loved the nachos as well. They weren't the same old plate of nachos, but fried wontons topped with peppers, cabbage, cheese and we chose shrimp. The food look incredible as we would watch it come up in the window and have made plans to go back to try some more of the menu. Loved it!! Thanks to the Yelp ad they popped up and while I typically look past ads ;), this did it. The reviews and pics were great and this was the cutest little new spot. You can tell it's relatively new, post-tornado that tore through the area in 2011. Coming from Atlanta and visiting Cullman a few times a year, it's great having spots like this. Leanna (sp?) and the others were super-friendly and the space (other than being a little chilly) was really great, amazing bar too. It was wine Wednesday so $1 off wines and plenty of beers on draft. The crab dip was outstanding! Scallops were a special and delightful. My mother-in-law loved the Gouda burger and hubby got the pork chops and loved them. The Brussels sprouts were winners as well. The cheese sticks and shrimp nachos were a highlight of the visit. The only drawback was the 1 hour a 30 minute wait. Would be open to giving it another try. read more

The atmosphere of this place was so cool and the staff was really friendly. Our waitress took very good care of us. We shared the pork nachos app which was such a strange concoction, but we devoured it because how good it was. We got seated about 10ft from the front door, and the hostess was just right there next to us the whole time. Very uncomfortable place to be sat for a late lunch with clearly open tables..open tables that had silverware on them, not closed off for Covid. We asked to be moved and we're told it was the only one she could seat us at. I ordered the smoked Gouda burger as it's featured on Yelp many times. A nice thick, slightly over cook, but juicy burger, sautéed onions, "smoked" Gouda, and a spicy ranch (which was left off mine and I didn't realize till much too late). All that excitement with absolutely zero flavor. The only taste was a toasted bun and ground beef. Oddly enough, my wife ordered the chicken, bacon, ranch sandwich and said it lacked flavor as well. Very hard to figure how sandwiches with that much potential lacked flavor. To top off this visit, they closed their doors early afternoon on a Saturday due to running out of food. So imagine being right next to the door watching people constantly trying to get through a locked door with no sign. Admittedly, I've never run a restaurant, but that seems like an odd thing to me as no two options on the menu were like the next. The plan is to try again, but for dinner. Covid protocols are minimal! While the food and service are excellent, every single table indoors and on the patio was seated at noon on Tuesday. The manager wore his mask around his neck and at least 2 kitchen staff had no mask. (It's an open kitchen set up) There is less than 3 feet between all tables. At the bar, guests are told it is OK to sit with no space or chairs between each group or guest. People are actually elbow to elbow at the bar. We actually upset a guest when we asked them to leave a chair open between us. His reply was he was told by staff to sit next to us. In addition to violating the 6 ft distancing protocol, tables were combined to accommodate a party larger than 8. If you think Covid & the protocols in place to protect everyone is a joke - this might be your place. However, even though the food is great, it is not worth the risk. read more

My sweet wife took me to Public House for my 53rd birthday. She ordered the fish of the day which was grouper, and I ordered a steak. Both were very good and delicious. My husband got a good meal and was satisfied so that says a lot ,as for me I shouldn't have tried something new , it was terrible and I couldn't eat it and I felt bad about it so when the server asked me was everything ok I told her I couldn't eat it and there was a long awkwardness pause and she finally said can I get you something else so I told her to just bring me a hamburger thinking that would not take too long but the worse part was her telling the chef at the window and a couple other server's and all of them looking at me and talking, I felt like falling through the floor and very uncomfortable so although my husband's prime rib was great We want be going back . Found this place with great reviews on Yelp and decided to stop by for lunch. Completely worth it! Service was great! Food was wonderful! We ordered the Pork Nachos for an appetizer. It was big enough to be an entree. Split between myself and my mother and it started to fill us up before we got the rest of our food. I ordered the Linguini Alfredo with chicken and it was delicious. The garlic bread on the side was a little too salty for my taste. My mother ordered the Smoked Gouda Burger with Brussel Sprouts and she loved it. She was accidentally brought fries but they correctly immediately. We splurged on the silky smooth Crème Brûlée Cheescake for dessert and got it to go. Highly recommend and we will be coming back to try brunch and dinner! read more

A year and a half later, and it's still our favorite date destination. The won ton nachos are exquisite, the Greek Salad with chicken divine, the fettuccine delicious, and Gouda burger succulent ...but my favorite is their filet mignon, with garlic mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts as sides. Yum! Service is always friendly and professional, and it's always worth the wait, but come a tad early and miss the crowds! Wife and I ate here on a weekend recently. The place was slam packed very busy. I had the gouda burger wife had the Alfredo. The burger was large and well-dressed but the meat was absolutely unseasoned. All it really needed was basic seasoning, salt and pepper, or anything. It was over well done, crumbly dry texture. The wife's alfredo I am almost absolutely certain was not freshly prepared. It tasted just like it had come from A jar. Very disappointing meal, in a nice restaurant with a very accommodating staff.
