    Asparagus side

OMG. I would eat here for my last meal. Really beautifully decorated. Booths big enough for any size person. Wait staff was great. But now for the food. And sorry I missed pictures of the appetizers. Appetizers were crab claws(New Orleans style). Probably the best crab claws we've had in a long time. Only issue was not enough bread to soak up the sauce and I was told it was impolite to use a spoon. Voodoo chicken was really delicious. Main meal. Redfish Orleans was beautiful and really tasty. And side of asparagus was mighty tasty. Seafood Fettuccine was really good. Seafood pot pie was tasty and the crème brûlée sweet potatoes ought to be illegal in every state. Seafood bisque was delicious. Definitely a return visit in the near future.

Stopped in while in town for a volleyball tournament and this place did not disappoint! We had eaten at this restaurant in Biloxi and loved it, so when we saw there was a location in Cullman, we had to give it a try. We LOVED everything! Started with the Orleans style snow crab claws and they were so tasty. The spicy butter sauce is excellent. We wished we had more bread to sop it all up because the sauce was that good. I had the Orleans Red fish and it has the same sauce as the crab claws and I thoroughly enjoyed the fish as well as the crab and shrimp that it was topped with. Hubby had the Royal redfish which had more of a buttery cream sauce and it is served with asparagus, mashed potatoes and an additional side. He was STUFFED and could not finish it all. We both paid the up-charge for the crème brûlée sweet potatoes with honey butter and they were divine. Nothing like a side of dessert to complement your savory dish. The service was super quick for a Saturday night and the restaurant has a super cool and elegant atmosphere in an older upscale building. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are ever in the area!

good food off of the standard half shell menu. all dishes came out as ordered in a timely manner. bar drinks were the downfall . all drinks ordered took longer than average to arrive. decor was standard oyster shell.

Argentinian Reds. 10/10! Hot, fresh, service was perfect! Loved the ambience and the vibe was also a 10/10.

The only items that were actually hot were the catfish and a hotdog. Our waitress took about 20 minutes to come back and take our order, and after the food was delivered, we didn't see her again for quite a while. That meant we never had the chance to mention the food was cold, couldn't get refills, and were left sitting there waiting for the check. When she finally returned roughly 25 minutes later, she saw that most of the food was untouched and didn't question it at all. At that point, we just paid and left. To make matters worse, there's a section of the ceiling actively leaking a dark, sticky substance that looks like honey, which is pretty concerning. The pepper sauce for the greens also had peppers that had turned completely white, not even a tiny of green or yellow anymore. Overall, a very disappointing experience. We won't be returning.

We pulled into Papa Dubi's around 1:45, not realizing the kitchen closes at 2:00. We apologized and said we'd come back another time because we didn't want to be "those people", but the staff insisted it was no problem at all. That alone made a great first impression. We ordered quickly and went with the Cajun Sampler--Red Beans and Rice, Gumbo, Chicken & Sausage Jambalaya, and Crawfish Sauce over Rice. We also added hushpuppies and boudin. Every single thing was spot‑on delicious. Each sampler dish had the perfect balance of rice to main ingredients, and the flavors were rich, authentic, and comforting. The boudin was the real deal, and the hushpuppies were just as good. Brandon was our server, and he couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating, especially considering how close it was to closing time. For being this far from Louisiana, Papa Dubi's is absolutely doing it right. We'll definitely be back.

I have an extensive list of food allergies and intolerances. So I will always review a place where I can find a good meal and not get sick or worse. I had the burger po'boy and it was great! Perfect ratio of burger to bread. The fries were pretty standard Sysco fair but I like their seasoned fries so all good. Hubs had the catfish lunch meal and he enjoyed it. Ordered the boy the crab cake meal and he loved it. Also got the 4 sides option as part of our to-go order - gumbo, red beans & rice, jambalaya, and etouffee. I hate soupy rice & beans, so I was happy to see that these were done right. They also tasted great. I wasn't able to try the other items (pesky seafood allergy) but they also looked good and smelled delicious. Definitely see us making a day trip in the future to eat here again.

The decor is a mix of Wisconsin corner tavern and supper club with a splatter of local team pennants mixed in with some random patterns. It works, you seem to have your own little compartment, so to speak. If you try to see it all, you go blind. The staff is wonderful and friendly and I always try to sit where I can watch the cooking. They cook on an open grill with gas and it is fun to see your dinner getting prepared. The grill is next to the oyster shucking bench. One guy shucks and guy cooks. If you go, make sure you order the Cajun oysters that they cook on the grill. They are on the half sheel, with some seasoning--OMG are they good. I usually eat a dozen in about 90 seconds and I am trying to take my time. This last trip -Halloween night-- I ordered 1/2 dozen and the waitress asked what was a wrong with me? You know that won;t work, she said, get the dozen. I did and she was right..Yum. Their dozen is 13 to 15 oysters. I watched as the oysters were cooking and was actually drooling this last visit. The taste just lingers in my body. I could go on, but it is a great restaurant to eat and chat, the cook loves to talk college football, he is big Alabama supporter. Really 20 people should have had a dedicated waiter or at least one not so busy! Last thing was I thought the whole restaurant needs a deep cleaning, from floors, menus, rest rooms to tables. Just not pristine. And required 20% tip for groups was not earned! Highlight was shrimp and grits for $13.99 was delish and hubby enjoyed Shrimp Alfredo.
