I like this Prost location. it is right on the edge of campus. The structure is a converted home so it is cozy and welcoming. There is quite a bit of seating inside, but if the weather is nice the patio is lovely as well. I am a dark beer girl so I always choose the Dunkel. My husband had the Helles and our son had the Italian Pilsner. Our friend that was with us, like me, got the Dunkel. All of their beers are solid. We enjoyed our beers and conversation before heading off to a concert. This is a great stop if you are headed to the University Center for the Arts for the evening. read more

We are so glad we stopped here while in Fort Collins. We noticed they had a Hefeweizen, which most breweries do not, and I love a great Hefeweizen and am always searching for a great one. This Hefeweizen is one of the best I have ever had, top three for sure. Loved the German influence/ambiance. It has ample seating indoors and some outdoor seating as well. We stopped in to Prost while visiting our daughter in Fort Collins. All of us enjoyed our beers. They have a great selection of German beers and tasted great. My 1st stop on a recent Colorado beercation! Conveniently located in Old Town, right in the alley adjacent to the brand new lovely, boutique Elizabeth Hotel. Prost is a very chill place and felt like a neighborhood pub. The staff and other patrons were all very friendly and accommodating with service and recommendations. Prost's actual Brewery is located in Denver, so I would call this a Tap House. As you might have guessed by the name, the focus here is on German style beers. Ask for samples of any tap you like. They do a pretty good job at staying close to their roots, while also offering a few higher abv brews. I enjoyed everything I tried. Flights (BYO @2.50$ for each 5 oz taster) and pints available. Also, have 32 oz crowlers premade or filled to order for takeout (chose to bring a Doppelbock back to Austin). Good stuff! I love German beer, so this is a place I've visited a few times. I finally got here again after a while and noticed that the place has changed a little. I like the indoor game set up and the stage! Parking can be a little tough if you don't want to use the parking garage, since the location is in Old Town and the brewery is in the alley. The beer is really great, but doesn't have my favorite versions of some styles. I particularly enjoyed the Kölsch this time, and brought some food inside from a nearby restaurant. The service was excellent, and that has been my experience each time I have been here. There a few different size options for beer, from a taster glass to a 68 oz glass boot, wow! I had other things to do, so I didn't choose the boot ;) . When you are ready to leave, you can fill a growler, grab a crowler, or snag a six-pack of beer from the fridge. There is a ton of seating inside and they can handle quite a crowd. They have corn hole, giant connect-four games on the tables, and other fun things to do. Events are hosted fairly regularly, so you have many excuses to come and grab beer here. I would definitely recommend checking out Prost, whether you think you like German beer or not! I've come to this brewery a few times for some classes, and it was a such a unique experience that I would recommend to anyone! They are very true to their German roots, and that can be seen throughout from the building to the beer. There is a variety of beer to try and everything I have tried so far i thoroughly enjoy. There is a large outdoor beer garden space with good music and nice big tables that big groups can sit at. It's also dog friendly which is always a plus. The indoor space is large and fun to explore, with a basement that has fun games to play including shuffle board. She was very impatient and condescending towards my little knowledge of German beer and kept interupting me as I tried asking questions about the differences between beers. Wow! I went to this Prost location last Spring and boy... how downtown Fort Collins has changed since my last trip back there three years ago ( at that particular time that is. I went back again later in the Fall. ). This location is in the backside of what used to be a Goodwill Store. In all honesty it's a big improvement because the Goodwill moved down south and this building was left vacant so it's good that something finally moved in here... even if it is just part of the space. The entrance to the brewery is in the alley which gives it a more intriguing air to it. At Prost I got one of their regular beers on tap, the Kolsch which is a pale beer with less bitterness that a pilsner with a hint of fruitiness to it. As you may have already guessed Prost is a German themed brewery specializing in classic German beers. This adds a unique and continued diversified element to the craft brewing scene in Fort Collins. I have also been to their location in Denver and have had different beers than the Kolsch there. The Dunkle Bier is very good as well as their Pilsner or what they call Pils. read more

Despite the place being half empty, the bartender was a little too cool to even say "hi" or "what can I get you" as he stood there pouring beers and I stood about 4 feet away trying to figure out what his problem was. This place has a great selection of beers, along with maybe the best service I've seen in this town. During the world cup game that I watched there recently someone brought a breakfast with them. Half way through the game a server offered to put the left-overs in the fridge so it would stay fresh while the game continued. That's next-level service! Plenty of space, and the location is great too. Off the street in an alley with a nice patio that isn't right on a main road or railway. Definitely check this place out if you get a chance. You won't see it from the street so it's probably going to be locals only unless word gets out. read more

NEVER VISIT THIS BUSINESS! We were out celebrating my son's 21st birthday. Seven of us walked in to a completely empty bar on a Saturday night. We found a large table suitable for our large party. Sat there for a while without anyone welcoming us. I finally had to approach the very rude, blonde, bartender asking how things worked...wasn't sure if there was wait staff or if we had to approach the bar on our own. The only response it got was, " You just order." Not sure what he meant... is there wait staff or are we on our own for ordering directly from the bar. I began to order for the group. That's when everything fell apart. He was more worried about telling me to pull up my mask (it never fell below the tip of my nose) than he was about filling out order. After all, he wouldn't accept my son's old ID (with the valid credentials from the DMV) stating he was of age. He was not at all accommodating or trying to help. No wonder their bar is empty on a Saturday night. read more
