Nice skatepark in serene neighborhood. Wish that I could catch more speed and jump out of the drop ins.

Love this park! Absolutely my favorite one to come but also my local one but clean park really cool people sometime busy during the day around 6 no lights half a bowl really slippery floor so be careful!

    Ornate skatepark entry.

For a free skatepark, 4th Avenue is exceptional. There's a mini 1/2 bowl, quarter pipes, walls, ledges, roll-ins, a flat rail, a small set of stairs with rail, humps, bumps, and pretty much everything you'd need for an above average skate session. With the exception of the stairs/rail that doesn't have enough runway/landing, the layout and all of the obstacles are pretty much top notch. Everything is laid out very well, makes sense, and offers plenty of challenge and fun for skaters of all skill levels. I have yet to see this park get overly crowded, and the local kids have always been in good spirits, welcoming, and supportive of one another. The vibe is very relaxed and everyone is just there to have fun. Pads are "required." There are signs stating this, but no one wears them and the police won't go out of their way to ticket padless skateboarders here. Just be smart, don't skate outside of your ability level, and skate at your own risk. It can get quite hot on a sunny day (besides a picnic table covered by a tree, there is no shade), but the ice cream man comes by at least a few times an hour with a variety of frozen treats to cool you down.

One of the finest most elegant skate parks that I personally enjoyed, has just about all your needs and expectations. Pads and helmets are not required. Do not bring your kids with a scooter.

Officially my favorite little hidden gem! I came here last night to praise for roller derby. It's clean, it's free, it's hidden, and it's perfection!

Such a great park. Great jungle gyms which are wheelchair accessible, tables, BBQs, games swings, shade and clean bathrooms.

Playground is just past the skate area

Had a fabulous time at a recent Concert in the Park here…read more Top notch park design. Great stage and concert foundation for dance floor and other performances. Love the fact the parking is close to the park entrance and several co-located picnic benches for those with mobility issues. There was a small rose garden along the walking path in front of the stage, with built in benches around it in case you need a seat. Lots of beautiful open grass space, incredible playground, and impressive an coffee stand. This is what our communities look like when we invest in them. Great job La Puente local government and residents. You all rock! The basketball courts looked fun as well! I don't play but plenty of young people were enjoying all the recreational offerings as we older folks danced the night away!

When I enrolled my child in the Parent and Me class, I specifically asked whether both parents could attend. I was clearly told yes. I was also informed the class would be held at the playground. When we arrived at the playground, no one was there. I had to call to find out the class was actually being held inside. After going inside, the instructor informed us that only one parent was allowed to attend. Roxanna then referenced the flyer and stated that "Parent and Me" meant only one parent, insinuating that I misunderstood or could not read it correctly. I have attended many Mommy and Me and Parent and Me classes in the past, and when only one parent is allowed, it is clearly specified on the flyer. This flyer did not state that limitation. She then told me that I should have contacted Tiny Tots directly for information rather than relying on the front desk. This was my first time visiting this park. There was no way for me to know that the information provided by staff was incorrect or that it was my responsibility to verify it elsewhere. The conflicting information, poor communication, and dismissive attitude made this a very frustrating and disappointing experience. I hope staff receive better training so families are given accurate information and treated respectfully.

They had a fridge, sink, provided tables and chairs which made it very convenient. The brick wall also provided for a nice backdrop. Clean up was easy, all they asked was to remove table clothes and throw trash out. They put tables and chairs away. Time is limited but for something small and intimate, it's great. Location can be confusing and parking is limited. But def a place I'd recommend if people needed a venue.

This is one of two parks that the Active board shop hold their weekend skating workshop. Not only is it a spot for boarders, this has a small park next to it equipped with exercise machines. In the front of the park, there is the teen center that's open only during the week,so I can't comment on that site. The skate area itself is great for beginners to advance levels. This location is great do to the fact it doesn't have any locals trying to claim the skate arena like it was theirs. The parking is limited on both the north and south side of the park so I would recommend early arrival because of the skate classes that are held on Saturday's and Sunday's from eleven to about one. Before and after that,it's all fair game. And that's my crispy take on the hidden oasis skate park,Peace

The soccer field is still stripped out and is currently just a dirt field. There is a recreation center with foosball and ping pong which was cool to see. That said, the park now has new basketball courts, a huge playground, and it looks like the homeless encampment has been cleared out and is no longer there. Overall, it's a nice place to go for a run since it has a small half-mile loop, and it's also a great spot to walk your dog with poop bags available throughout the park.

Today what put fear in me was graffiti being written with the words " NIGGERS GTFO." As a woman of color I do not feel safe in my community with seeing this on display on government property, I have also experienced hateful remarks by others in the Baldwin community in the past however, seeing it in writing on a public structure is very disturbing and a red flag. In addition, I have video footage of the concrete evidence, with the graffiti and the park has surveillance. Im afraid to address this with Barnes Park and Baldwin Park Police because BPD will not do anything about it. I will never return to this park or bring my child. Might as well relocate to a more welcoming environment that does not reciprocate hate towards minorities and that is more so ever safe. Barnes Park should be held liable because they left this hate on their property. Security should had pro trolled and documented this offense.

My partner and I really enjoy coming here to play pickleball nowadays. There are 8 permanent courts. The courts are super busy on weekend mornings and less busy on weekdays. The queue system is fair and efficient. I only wish they would keep the pickleball courts open until later. They usually close around 8pm, which seems kind of early. In my opinion, this is one of the cleaner and better-maintained parks in the area. There is a pleasant walking path. I always see people walking their dogs here and families coming here for a stroll around the park. There are parking lots on both sides of the park, as well as plenty of street parking all around. However, when there are events going on at the park, parking can be a bit difficult.
