I had my ball hitch rusted into my receiver and had been unable to get it out. Brought it into 4x4 & more and they told me they could get it out and it would be about an hour job. Scheduled an appointment for a few days later. The appointed time came and I made my way there. While I sat and read my emails, I could hear a lot of banging and maneuvering, and after about an hour, an exclamation of success. 4x4 installed an Agile Lift Kit on our sprinter van in July. Recently, just before setting off on a long road trip we started hearing a scrunchy sound from the rear driver side. Made a call to 4x4. After some discussion, it was determined that there was not a safety issue and we could go forward with our trip. We made an appointment for after our trip. We were told it could be an all-day job. This is a great place to go if you really want to get hitched. You bring the gear that you want attached and will get it done for you in a couple days. Just be sure to call in advance. You can even get a hitch on your 2 Wheel Dr. car so that you can pull little teardrop camping trailers around behind you if you like. Very happy with quality of work. Installed a RIP kit on my Winnebago View (ride improvement). The RV now rides much better without leaning while turning. we bought a used Ford F250 van in Redwood City and had it inspected by the Redwood Ford dealer. We drove the van to Santa Cruz where it immediately refused to start. AAA towed the car to 4X4 and they quickly, but carefully, diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and got it running. Even better 4X4 determined that the one major problem the Redwood Ford dealer diagnosed was not an issue but some spilled grease on the differential. They update via text/ email and were very responsive to our vacation time needs. in summary: competent car repair, great communication with customers, and we will thank them as we drive away on vacation!! 3 stars because getting to the point of scheduling parts and service was painful to me. I stopped in and was told that I would get a quote. Well 2 weeks to get a quote seems long to me. I did call a week into it and was told they were working on it and should see it that day. It was another week. Once the quote was done service was excellent! April '23: Had 4x4 Offroad of Scotts Valley, install the Agile Offroad RIP Kit & 47g tank in 2022 Sprinter. They damaged a wheel sensor which made all other sensors and emergency brakes inoperable. They didn't ( nor did they know how to ) calibrate the new gas tank levels nor how to set the computer for the miles/gallons and tank fill. Joey stated they would pay for the $600+ damaged sensor but then renigged payment. Now the company isn't returning texts. So, it's a $600+ sensor and now additional cost somewhere to calibrate the tank sensor and computer plus $ to tighten the bolts on the install. Sure they are friendly people but they don't stand by their work nor their claims. read more

We have been going to 4x4 and More for a few years now and I really must say that their level of professionalism, customer service, and skilled technicians is totally unmatched. We did a whole new suspension on my GMC 3500 with overload springs and Bilstein shocks. Over time they've built out our 2018 4Runner TRD Pro with a 3.5" Stage 7 Icon lift, air suspension for trailering, Morimoto headlights, and a bunch more fun stuff to take out on the trails and they have always gone the extra mile to make sure we are taken care of. They even helped me sneak it in for a birthday surprise install for my wife. I would and do recommend this place to everyone that will listen. If you are thinking about lifting, outfitting, cutting in/modifying bumpers & body, alignments, tires/rims, interior tech and a ton more, these guys are the guys!!! I called 3 different times for an estimate on a project. Put on hold every time. Once I was able to give my info to a lady who told me she would research and call me back, the other times I was just on hold indefinitely until I hung up. I contacted through yelp with all the same details and still...never heard a word back. So...I can't even comment on workmanship etc because these guys are too busy making cool t-shirts or whatever to even make a follow up call or email for a customer with a very routine project. What started as "look my truck over and let me know what it needs" after I purchased it last year, to a full build. The team at 4x4&More tackled a multitude of issues, from getting it to pass smug, to a complete rebuild of my front end with professionalism and skill. Look no further, folks! I cannot speak highly enough of this shop and its mechanics. I drive a Tacoma with a 6'' lift, 35's, and a LOT of rust. I'm thrilled to know I can drop it off any time and it will be in EXCELLENT hands. This place offers a first-time-free full vehicle inspection. Given the condition of my truck I knew they would come up with quite a list of to-dos. The list Joey and I settled on was: New sway bar links (I had snapped one), diff fluid change, oil change, front brake pads&rotors, replace calipers, new brake lines, front CV axle, rotation, alignment. Joey stayed in touch with me throughout the whole process, kindly answered my many questions, and was realistic with what things needed to be fixed more urgently than others. One of the more expensive fixes (due to labor, not parts), was the totally corroded bushings on my shocks. I told Joey I'd just hold off a little longer to let my wallet rest. Well, when I went to pick my truck up they had replaced all of the bushings for no charge. I couldn't believe it. I feel relieved knowing I have found "my shop" and don't need to think twice about whether or not I'm getting the best possible service. read more

Incredible integrity -- I'm a customer for life! Having had negative experiencing with auto repair service companies over the years, I was blown away with 4x4's honesty. I took my Tesla Model S to have my hitch either welded or repaired because it was loose. A friend told me that I might lose my e-bikes if I didn't get the hitch repaired. I met with Joey at 4x4 to get a bid to repair my hitch. At first look, he suggested that it will take about 3 hours to repair because he would have to remove the back bumper. The estimate was going to be around $525. But, before I set up an appointment to return for the repair, Joey double checked something and found that there was a loose bolt. He recruited one of his mechanics who climbed under my car to tighten the bolt using an extension wrench. 15 minutes later, Joey told me the hitch is securely attached and that my e-bikes were safe for transport. I was ready to pay for the repair, but Joey told me that there was no payment due! I was shocked -- I didn't know what to say. I don't remember this ever happening for any kind of automotive repair before. I told him how surprised I was and told him I will definitely tell my friends and return the next time I need auto repairs. This really made my day -- I felt like there are good people and businesses still out there. If you need any auto repair work done, I highly recommend checking with 4x4.
