    Shrimp tempura

I love the chicken teriyaki here and decided to branch out. What the heck is this? I paid almost $8 for shrimp tempura and got 3 pieces... okay.

Chicken Katsu! Yummy! We are part of it before I remembered to take the photo

The customer service is great! They consistently have food ready in 15 min for pickup. We spilt the chicken katsu, always deliciously crispy! It comes with two scoops of rice and a side salad. We have ordered it too many times to count. I decided to finally write a review to support this lovely business!

Best teriyaki in town hands down. Come here for lunch twice a week. Prices are very reasonable too.

Our go to teriyaki spot, not amazing but consistently good teriyaki, katsu, friend rice, and egg rolls.

Great teriyaki. Always fast and tasty. I usually get the chicken and gyoza combo which is a nice portion of chicken and gyoza.

I've had the chicken Yakisoba and kung pao. Both were not good, especially the kung pao.

I cannot give this fine restaurant enough stars. I've been frequenting Ryu Nakano's sushi…read morerestaurants for many years and it's some of the best sushi I've ever had. We reserve well in advance and mostly sit at the sushi bar. The space is on the smaller side but I've seen hopeful walk-ins be seated (I've also seen many turned away--I suggest reservations.) Service has always been stellar. We normally enjoy a salmon flight, a tuna flight, the kelp-cured scallops (must be ordered in advance) and whatever else strikes our fancy or Nakano-San recommends. It's always spectacular! I find the nigiri to be just about perfect--just enough rice to offset the fresh taste of the fish. There is plenty on the menu beyond sushi but we admit to coming here for one reason only so I can't speak to much else (although the green salad is very nice, as is dessert.) Plenty of wine, cocktail and sake options. I remember the many years we didn't have a sushi restaurant in downtown Edmonds so I never take an evening here for granted. We are fortunate to have Nakano-San as a part of our community. Check it out if you haven't yet, and enjoy!

I would say that many parts lived up to the high praises while others did not unfortunately :( The service was amazing! The staff were very attentive and kind. We were seated quickly and were not left waiting long for any part of our dinning experience which was very nice. We both got 2 portions of the 11 piece omakase ($53) and the great pacific northwest roll ($20) to share. The omakase offered good variety and came with an explanation of each cut of fish which was nice. We both enjoyed everything just fine but were left a little disappointed with the quality. Because of all the great reviews and the price point, I think we just were expecting to enjoy our meal much more than we did. The fish quality was not poor by any means but just not that good. The roll also lacked a bit of flavor as well :( I don't know if we just went on an off night or not, and I am hopeful that might be true. The ambiance was nice and balanced, the tables were spaced apart well, making the hum of the restaurant nice but not too much. I don't think we would be back due to the overall quality of our meal but it think it is worth a stop if you are craving sushi in the area.

Found this place on a whim and we very happy with our selection. If you are looking for Katsu, the…read morepossibilities are endless here. We went with the traditional Katsu. It was light and fluffy and full of flavor. It came with a traditional cabbage salad which was very refreshing. The udon curry was right up my wife's alley, and I do like curry but I'm not the biggest udon noodle fan. It still was very full of flavor and delicious. Side note, the dressing or sauce that was in the table was let me say to die for. We put it on everything. If I had it on hand all the time it would probably be a condiment that I used on a very regular basis. The service was top notch and our server was very sweet and patient. We took awhile to look over the whole menu and there are so many things that I would come back for just to try. The only let down was the edamame as it is a staple that we usually order at any restaurant when available. They were very hot and cold and felt like it was a frozen edamame that was nuked in the microwave. The establishment itself was very modern looking with a very clean vibe. We will definitely be back. This is definitely a spot in lynnwood that needs more love from people. Then again, it could be packed all the time, but we were there very early on Mother's Day.

I especially loved that we got to grind the toasted sesame seeds ourselves, which added a fresh, nutty aroma and made the experience feel even more traditional. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the interior was nicely decorated with a great vibe. It was also nice to come during lunchtime when it wasn't too crowded. Parking was easy with free retail garage parking. Overall, a great experience!
